Chasing After My Wife Chapter 26

They continued filming until late afternoon. When they finished everything, Jillyanna and Travis decided to postpone the dinner and scheduled it the next day since they've been working almost the whole afternoon.
"Should I release this for you or will you do it yourself?" Joven asked her when he was keeping his things to get home.
"I can do it myself. Just let me know once it's done." Jillyanna responded while helping him arrange his things.
Travis went somewhere to take a phone call so he didn't hear their conversation. He was being reprimanded by his father on the phone.
"Stop this nonsense and come back soon! Your mother didn't raise you to be irresponsible! Jillyanna was right! You are irresponsible!" Thomas scolded his son on the line. He was so frustrated over his matter that he hadn't gotten any time to sleep these past few days.
Travis was stunned for a moment before it sank in his brain. " You knew where she is? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't know where she is! It was her words against you a long time ago! Wasn't it your fault that she hates you! You stupid brat!" Thomas was quick to deny her whereabout and grilled him with words once again.
Since it had come to this, it would be better that they won't see each other again. However, fate was working differently than how human brain works. He would've never anticipated the result he'd get in the coming days.
Of course, that's a story for another day.
Travis let go of the matter and promised his father that he would go back home once everything was settled which was a month and some days more.
Thomas ended the call in frustration. He could only sigh and apologize to his late wife regarding the growth of their child. It wasn't easy for him and they had drifted apart since she left them over her death.

When everyone was ready to go, Travis walked Jillyanna to the parking lot where her car was parked.
"Thanks for today. I'll let you know the place for tomorrow's dinner." Jillyanna stated with a faint smile.
"I'm glad I was able to help. I had a great time today." he responded to her as he stood in front of her with his hands on his pocket. He looked so still looked handsome and fresh even though they had been staying under the sun for the entire afternoon.
"I'll see you tomorrow. Bye." Jillyanna didn't wait for him to reply and got into her car. She just waved her hand at him and left to go back home.
Travis watched her left, a gentle smile appeared on his lips everytime she remembered her pretty face. He had seen different expressions across her face but she still looked beautiful even when she got angry at him the second time they met after their one-night affair.
Jillyanna texted Cielo and her family that she won't be coming home to their house. She went back to the old house instead to take a rest.
She turned on the light when she entered the house. It was still the same when she left it. Cold and lonely.
She placed her bag on the couch and got herself some rest. However, when she closed her eyes it was Travis who appeared in her mind.
"Damn brain cells! Stop bugging me with his face!" Jillyanna cursed herself as she curled her body on the sofa to keep her warm. She stayed in that position for a few minutes before a growling sound came off from her stomach.
She stood up and went to the kitchen to prepare some food. She stewed some fish and stir-fried some veggies. She even boiled some pork dumplings and prepared a bowl of noodles. There was even a lot of rice.

"I do eat a lot but I never eat this many. Why am I such a glutton these past few days?" she whispered to herself while arranging her dished on the table. She would be eating alone once again.
She finished all her food since she was really good with cooking. But she felt dizzy and weak right after she stood up to bring the dished to the kitchen sink.
"I must be very tired. I'll get plenty of rest tonight." she mumbled to herself as she forced herself to clean her plates. It didn't take long before she started to vomit her food. She vomited until only a bile could be thrown out.
"What's going on with me? Am I sick?" she placed the back of her hand on her forehead but she didn't feel hot. "Must be from working under the sun."
She disregarded everything and continued cleaning. Right after returning her utensils, she took her bag and walked to her room. She took a hot bath and wrapped herself in a bathrobe.
It was the day to post the second picture if the requirements for the last picture was met. She opened her laptop and checked her post.
'Very disciplined.' she commented as she browsed thru comments. What she asked was what she got and she appreciated the fact that they followed her request.
"I am so excited to see how our goddess look like." a comment with so many likes and replies caught her attention.
"It's been years. I am looking forward to see her. I hope this won't disturb her privacy." another comment was placed which made her smile.
It's rare for people to care about the privacy of other people. Most people now a days, they would butt in and gossip about your damn business! Why don't they just care about themselves?
In any case, she had prepared herself for any disturbance when she decided to go public. She wanted to do something for her fans.
No more no less, both comments and likes hit the mark that she required for the first picture. She then placed the next puzzle which made it 2 out of 4 with another caption.
"I VISITED THE AMUSEMENT PARK FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY. I ONLY NEED A 100K LIKES FOR THIS PICTURE BUT THE COMMENT MUST ALL BE ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE PLACE."

On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest.
