Chasing After My Wife Chapter 21

Travis worked the whole day to make time for her on Saturday. Everytime he finished up a document, he would send her a message to give her an update.
Jillyanna didn't mind him sending messages to her since she's got nothing to do as well. She had this thought in her mind that Travis will find her boring sooner or later, so she wasn't the least bit worried.
'Ding!' Jillyanna's phone notified her of a new message.
I MANAGED TO FINISH EVERYTHING. DO YOU WANT TO HAVE DINNER TOGETHER?
It was a message from Travis who was still at the company, finalizing all the details for the next day's work.
NOT NOW. I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO. I'LL SEE YOU ON SATURDAY, OKAY?
Jillyanna responded while pouring a glass of milk for herself before going back to her room. She had to finish her work to focus on herself for the upcoming days.
No matter what, she had to fulfill her own wishes before leaving for States. That was her main goal for all the hassle she went through.
Travis didn't force her to have dinner with him because in truth, he had to meet someone for an important matter. He just asked her and in case she would agree, he could just postpone the planned private meeting that night.
Travis changed his suit to a new one before leaving his office. He had asked his assistant earlier to a buy a bunch of pink roses for him to bring to the gathering.
He arrived few minutes before the scheduled time to make a good impression. He looked so handsome on his suit and tie with a bouquet of pink roses in his arms.
"Heh Ches! You look so pretty tonight. These flowers really suit you the best." Travis greeted the woman who sat with her parents at the reserved private booth.

"You look handsome, too. How's work?" Cheska greeted him back as she accepted the flowers from him.
Travis disregard the stares thrown at him by Cheska's father. Cheska didn't really care as well since the dinner was very important for her.
"You're not telling my daughter who you were exchanging messages these past few days?" Mr. Albert Suarez eyed him before giving his daughter a warning glance.
Cheska looked at him before looking down at her plate with nothing on it.They haven't ordered their food yet so there was nothing that could distract her.
"Actually...I know who it is. Travis didn't keep it a secret from me." Cheska murmured just enough for her parents to hear. Her mother didn't react at all since all the decision will be done by her father.
"Alright. I'm glad that he's letting you know. It's okay to fool outside, just make sure you won't bring any woman home." Mr. Suarez stated which made the remaining three people to look at each other's eyes.
'What a horrible father! No wonder!' Travis thought internally but he was all smile outside while getting his orders.
The same thing for Cheska. She looked so relaxed outside but she wanted to scream to her father internally. She had known a long time ago that her marriage will be for convenience. Good thing Travis came to save her.
The dinner went through just fine. Mr. Suarez looked so happy and was anticipating for the day of marriage to come.
On the other hand, Jillyanna was busy with work and she had been feeling dizzy since afternoon.
She called Cielo and asked her to bring her some chocolate cake on the way home.
"You want to eat chocolate cake tonight? Aren't you worried of so much carbs?" Cielo asked while driving her car to a cake shop. If she had known, she would've taken some from their cafe!

Jillyanna just smiled while listening to her friend's nagging on the other line. She really wanted to eat a cake. She felt that the dizziness would go away after she gets what she wants.
"Drive safely. Don't forget my cake! That's for my baby!" Jillyanna joked at her best friend.
"I know. Just wait for me at home." Cielo ended the call after her statement.
When the call got ended Jillyanna sat down with a helpless smile. "Will she kill me if I tell her now that I don't want a cake anymore but a mango graham shake instead? What to do now?"
She was torn between calling Cielo again or not. She knew very well that Cielo would grill her from anger. In the end, she called Lucian to buy her a mango graham shake.
When Cielo and Lucian met at the doorstep of the Madrid's family home, Cielo took one of the shake from his hand.
"You can only get one." Lucian reminded his wife which made Cielo frowned. Mango graham shake was her all time favorite and he actually told her to get just one!
"Why are there so many of them if it's not for me?" Cielo asked while pinching his waist in the process.
"How about you ask your sister. She asked me to buy all these which I don't think she could finish." Lucian answered as he walked inside the house and to the second floor of the mansion.
"She asked me to buy a chocolate cake, too. Well, she always love sweets so it's really not surprising." Cielo responded before knocking on Jillyanna's door.
Jillyanna opened her door wide and her face lit up when she saw her foods. "I love you guys. Thank you so much for these."
She grabbed everything and place them on her table. Cielo and Lucian watched her eat in disbelief. She had a very large appetite on that day.
It was their first time to see her eat so much sweets that Lucian and Cielo started to feel worried for any cavities and high sugar level.
"What's gotten in to you? Why do you eat so much today?" Cielo asked while returning some magazines that Jillyanna misplaced.
"I don't know. I felt a little dizzy earlier and I was really hungry. These foods strike my brain so I asked you guys to buy it." Jillyanna answered with a wide grin on her face. As expected, no one really believed that she was just hungry.

CONTENT WARNING: Japanese ultranationalism, language, gore depictions, obscene scenery Off to the Orient lay a massive ocean that separated the bellies of the great continents of Eurasia and the Americas.
