Chasing After My Wife Chapter 13

"What are you doing here?" Travis asked in bewilderment. He never expected her to be there or more like, waiting for him to show up.
Jillyanna snickered while glaring at him. "Shouldn't I be asking you that? What do you think you're doing? I'm not some kind of charity for you to send me things."
Travis was silenced at her words. He never meant it that way. "I didn't do it because you're some charity case. I know you have money to buy those but I don't know what to give you."
"I already told you. It won't work between us." Jillyanna stormed out of the store with Travis following behind her.
The driver who saw Travis chasing after a pretty girl widened her eyes in surprise. Their master never showed any interest towards women, but now he was chasing after that girl.
"Jillyanna, wait." Travis quickened his steps and held her by her arms.
"How did you know my name?"
"Didn't you give it to me that night?"
"Did I?" Jillyanna looked at him and sigh. "Anyway, let's talk." Travis smiled upon hearing her take the initiative for conversation.
Jillyanna went inside the nearest cafe to find a place where they could speak. She didn't want to bring him at Summer Cafe knowing that many people would be eavesdropping.
"This is for you." Travis handed to her the box that he was carrying since earlier.
Jillyanna took it and placed it beside her. "Thank you. But, you didn't really have to do this. I meant what I said before. Things won't just work betweens us."
"How do you know when you're not giving it a try? Can you really not give me a chance?" He looked so sincere that Jillyanna started changing her mind.

"I just don't think it's necessary." Jillyanna looked outside the window while speaking. "Nothing has ever worked and it would never change. I just don't want to involve myself in any relationship."
"I'm serious about you. This is my first time pursuing someone and I might look clumsy at it so you don't have hopes for me. But I am serious. Really serious." Travis looked at her without blinking his eyes.
Jillyanna watched him carefully. It won't hurt to give him a chance knowing that's she would never fall in love but she would be wasting his time that could've been used to pursue someone he really likes.
"Let's have two months. If things won't change between us, let's go on separate ways. Do you agree?" Jillyanna asked with so much difficulty. She didn't want to involve herself with him but he would pester him if she won't yield.
Travis smiled and nodded his head. "I agree. In two months time, I'll prove to you that I am worthy of your love." He winked at her which made Jillyanna chuckled.
"Also, don't demand time from me. I don't have so much spare time. I'll let you know if I have time to go on a date." Jillyanna added before picking up her things.
'I'll make sure you'll be mine after two months.' Travis thought before standing up from his seat. "Why don't we go and grab something to eat? Do you have time now or do you have something to do?"
"I'm going off to work. Oh, another thing. Don't pry on my work. Don't try to have any P.I or whatever to follow me. If you have something in mind, just ask me directly."
Travis scratched the tip of his nose while glancing at her then to her phone which she was holding.

"What is it?" Jillyanna asked when she couldn't take any more of his stares.
"I...I don't have your number." Travis answered while pointing towards her phone.
"Give me your phone." Travis handed him his phone after unlocking it. Jillyanna added her contact information for him. "That's my contact details."
"Thanks. Shall I send you to work?"
"No need. I'll take a taxi there. Do whatever you're supposed to do after this. I'll go ahead." Jillyanna walked away and out of his sight.
Travis chuckled as he made his way out of the shop. Hands on his coat pocket with a white shirt underneath, he looked really cool.
Some people stared at him with shock, some were scared and some with dreamy eyes. But he didn't bother himself at all. He ignored them as he walked towards the approaching car.
His driver today was his regular driver since Hawk and his team had to go somewhere and investigate some matters of military affairs.
If they were with him, they would be utterly shock. More than what his driver felt at that moment.
"Where to master?" His driver, Wesley, asked while maneuvering the car on the road.
"Let's go back to the company." Travis responded before closing his eyes to rest for a while. A faint smile was still hanging on his lips which clearly showed he had a great time. A genuine smile that never showed up since his mother left.
Jillyanna also returned home to think of her future plight. 'Isn't that great? You could always ask him if things won't go well?' A side of her brain whispered. 'Right! You don't have to find another guy! He's right there!' Another side responded.
"That's indeed true. I can always ask him if it's not working. Heh! I got a stock of sperms right in front of me! Yay!" Jillyanna jumped on her bed in delight. She really had a brilliant brain cells.
She was really happy since she didn't have to worry that much. Aside from that, she had been planning to go on vacation after two months so she could execute her plans while waiting for that day to come.
That night, Travis came home in haste. He packed some of his clothings and personal belonging. He was moving out.
"RV, where are you going?" Valkyrie asked who just came back with Hawk and the others as well.
"I'm going to live somewhere for the next two months. Within these two months, don't come visit me. Or if you do, be there as a friend. I'm going to live a life of an ordinary guy."
His response threw them in confuse states. They didn't understand him at all.
Earlier, when he reached the company, he asked the assistant secretary to find a house which costs no more than a million.
"What's this for sir?" the assistant secretary asked innocently while filtering the search results.
"I'm going to rent it for two months. Show me the good ones later." Then he turned around and left, leaving his stunned assistant on her own imagination.

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

Stories about "what if" world's where things operate like what a modern person would see in a video game. But another more so would be what it is the people we call NPC's actually think. This story explores such a situation on such a world. My story is called: "I'm JUST a Farmer, NOT an Adventurer!!!" A lighthearted comedy Isekai light novel currently ongoing. I really appreciate feedback and take it all under consideration. Everything helps me improve my story.
