Chasing After My Wife Chapter 10

Travis took note of Jillyanna's address and left. He went home directly to do some work and look into her information.
Hawk heard the familiar sound of engine coming off from Travis' car. He saw him walking towards the house with a faint smile on his lips. It's clear as day that he had a good time.
It wasn't just Hawk who heard him arrived home. Everyone inside the house noticed his arrival. They felt a sudden surge of relief and decided to get back to bed and get more sleep.
Sleeping was another benefit they got from working undercover in Travis' company. When they were in military, they had to be always in high alert, making their time of sleep shorter compared to other people.
"Good morning sir Travis!" the servants who saw him greeted him one by one. He just nod his head at them and walked directly to his study.
Since he slept peacefully last night, he was energized and was able to do a lot of work. He checked on business proposals, reviewed the report from the marketing team, made conference call to different companies and asked his friend to check on his 'runaway fiancee's' address.
He didn't want to bother the men who just went through an ordeal last night so he asked Diego Sandoval, his friend and business partner to do some digging.
Diego called later that afternoon to inform him of the result. "Are you planning to buy that land?" he asked him directly which made Travis confused.
"What do you mean with buying that land? Isn't it a residential area?" He asked while looking at the written address on his computer. He had done some initial investigation and he found out that it was residential address. So what exactly happened?
Diego looked at the detailed report on his hand before answering his friend. "I have checked on it. Well, it was a residential area. It's under the name of Anton Xavier. The neighboring residents mentioned that no one's been living in that place for quite a while but a cute, short-haired woman would come by and bring in some cleaners to clean the yard and the house. We don't know where this Anton Xavier as well and there are so many people with that name. Some people wanted to buy the house and lot. Why are you interested in this place?" Diego narrated his findings making Travis rubbed his temple.

'Yeah she's cute but she's definitely not short-haired woman.' Travis thought to himself when he remembered the woman in his arms last night.
"Is there any other description of the woman who often come to the house?" He asked Diego even though it won't changed the fact that he was tricked.
"Cute. Short-haired. About 5'4 in height. She's..."
"It's fine. You don't have to give me those details. She's not the one." Travis cut him short and shrugged his shoulders. It wasn't really her address.
Diego talked to him about another things before hanging up the call. Travis was lost in thought after knowing that she provided wrong details.
Part of Diego's investigation wasn't actually wrong. Yes, the house was under the name Anton Xavier but he gave it to his wife and child before leaving.
Jillyanna's mother didn't bother changing the name of ownership but they stayed in that house until her mother died. Her mother's best friend, Venus, another doctor from the same hospital she worked on, was the only one who would visit them during holidays or when they don't have work.
Venus and her husband, Thomas, were there when her mother died. She even wanted to adopt her but her mother's relatives refused, thinking that they'd get a penny out of her.
When she left, no one was staying at their old house. That's until she was taken by Cielo's family. Cielo would send someone to clean the place for her.
If Travis dug even more, he would know that he was looking into the right information.
Since it was Monday already, as promised, Jillyanna moved to Cielo's family villa for a while. Cielo, who usually stayed in hers and Lucian's apartment, also came home.
"It's been a while since we've come home." Cielo spoke while dragging her luggage inside the house.
Cielo's suitcase didn't actually contain any clothes but her facial creams and other skin care products since she still have clothes in their house.
Jillyanna brought several clothes to add in her collections inside her wardrobe plus her gadgets like laptop and tablet.

"I miss this place." She whispered to herself while looking at her own room. Before, she shared a room for Cielo. Little by little, through small revenues and income, she helped them expand their house and get her own room.
They refused her at first, but Jillyanna sulked and acted upset for a week. Thus, they accept her help to build the house.
"Both of you keep your things. We'll have a feast of seafood for dinner." Sky stated while helping her 'daughters' with their suitcases.
Lucian was on duty so he wasn't able to help out, but he knew that Cielo was returning home since Jillyanna was coming as well.
"Yay! Seafood! I love it!" Cielo exclaimed with sparkling eyes.
"Thank you, auntie." Jillyanna responded with a wide smile.
Her room was opposite to Cielo's room so they're very near and close to each other.
While her life was peaceful, warm and full of happiness. The Internet had been in uproar since the time Cielo released the song for her.
"My goddess released a new song! She's slaying the top rankings again!"
"Her voice was like a lullaby. I can't help but get lost in thought."
"Not only her voice is pretty, her eyes were so bright and beautiful!"
"You can see the spirit in her eyes!"
"I really wanted to see her face. I've been following her for so many years but I haven't seen her face at all."
"Person above, she kept her face hidden to get the mysterious vibe and to protect her privacy!"
"But don't you think she needs to be considerate of her fans. At least post a picture of yourself for once. I mean, it's been six years since she started and not one picture was posted by her."
"She must be ugly! That is why she's covering her face!"
"Hey! Who says she's ugly?! Look at yourself first!"
"Well, she's irresponsible for not taking care of her fans!"
"She's not!"
"She is!"
People with opposing sides started arguing but the topic of their discussion was happily eating her food. Not bothering herself at all.
After a few days of rest and lazying around, Jillyanna went out and visited the cafe with Cielo. Inside the Industrial Plaza premises, they have two branches of Summer Cafe which accumulated a total net profit of millions a year.
Jillyanna was wearing a mini-skirt and a blue tank top, exposing her neck, long legs and white skin.
"Boss?" one of the staff noticed her and her eyes went wide from shock. "Oh my gosh! Boss you're back! How are you?"
They started swarming around her like bees attracted to a flower. Jillyanna laughed and answered their inquiry while Cielo slipped out from the crowd to give them time and catch up a little.
"I'm doing good. I'm back and would be dropping by sometimes. How are you guys?" Jillyanna returned the question at them.
The staff chatted with her for a while before going back to their work when a new batch of customers came in.
Jillyanna didn't hinder them from their work. Cielo went inside the kitchen to check on the ingredients with the chef and the pastry maker.
She chose a corner near the window to observe the people come and go around the area. While observing, she wrote some notes and lyrics on her tablet.
"So this is actually where I'd find you. Must be work of destiny."
Jillyanna raised up her head and found the person she didn't expect to see.
