Pokemon: Master Of Tactics Chapter 29

After Scyther's fighting style was chosen, Alex thought about the move that Scyther should train. Fury Cutter and Roost are best for Scyther's fighting style. The problem is that Roost has to be trained for the expert rank to make it useful. Being able to use Roost while moving is a great advantage in combat and if you manage to train Roost to master rank, you can use Roost when attacking.
But there is a problem. Training a move from beginner to expert takes 4 months for a Pokemon with normal potential. You have to train intensively during these 4 months to be able to do it in 4 months. That's why potential is so important for trainers. Nobody wants to waste their time training a Pokemon that has no potential.
For example, Golbat's Shadow Ball is almost an expert rank after just 8 days. There are two reasons. one is that the Shadow Ball is an innate talent move and the other is that Golbat has silver potential.
Alex decided to mainly train Roost and Fury Cutter. It is important for these moves that Scyther can move if he used them. Fury Cutter can more easily be used to pursue an enemy and Roost can be used if Scyther dodges. Besides, Roost is an innate talent move so that the move can be mastered faster than other moves.
The problem is that Alex can't train this move effectively right now. In the forest, you never know when you will be attacked. if you are tired of training and are attacked by a strong Pokemon, you will likely lose a fight that you would normally win. Scyther also needs nutritious food. Zubat can drink blood from powerful Pokémon, but Scyther needs flying-type or bug-type food to improve his body effectively.

Alex thought, "Ok, I'll catch a lot of valuable Pokemon quickly and exchange them for TR Points. Then I can buy good food for Scyther. I should also buy Tauros blood for Golbat when I'm out of this forest."
After Scyther was healed, they all went on again.
After only 10 minutes, Golbat discovered another Pokemon that was hiding in a bush and probably wants to ambush other Pokemon.
Alex said "Golbat use ultrasonic against the bush and see which Pokemon is hiding there. If it's way too strong, fly away in the direction of our sleeping place. But don't worry too much, strong Pokemon usually don't use such a trap. Scyther and I stay here for now. "
Scyther looked at Alex and said with sign language "why am I staying here? You know I can fly too, right?"
Alex smiled and said shamelessly "So that you can protect me."
Scyther was surprised and gave Alex an odd look. For him, it's abnormal that Alex can say this with a smile. But he has to agree with Alex, human beings are really weak. Even a weak Pokemon can kill a grown man.
Golbat flies in the direction of the bush and use ultrasonic against it.
A Raticate immediately ran out of the bush and looked angrily in the direction of Golbat.
Alex looked at Raticate info.
----------------------
Pokémon: Raticate
LV: 23
Attributes: normal
Abilities: Guts
Gender: Male
Potential: bronze
Moves: Tackle, Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Bite, Super Fang, Crunch
---------------------
Alex thought "LV 23 and bronze, not bad. Also, this is a good matchup for Golbat because Raticate has no attack the Golbat can hit in the air. I let Golbat fight this fight himself. He should be able to win easily without me."

The fight ended after just 3 minutes. Raticate could reach Golbat with his bounce, but Golbat was too flexible in the air that Raticate couldn't even hit Golbat. Raticate noticed this and tried to run away, but was followed and stopped by Golbat. Raticate was completely pissed off and tried to hit Golbat at least once. Only after 3 minutes, Raticate could no longer take the damage and passed out.
Alex caught Raticate with a Pokeball and praised Golbat for his good fight.
After 30 minutes, Golbat spotted 5 Beedrill. These Beedrill were between lv 13 and 15 and one of these Beedrill was bronze potential.
Alex said "Scyther you are fighting these 5 Beedrill. Use Focus Energy as often as you can before the fight and then immediately try to defeat a Beedrill with Wing Attack."
Scyther was happy that he could finally fight and nodded to Alex. He then used Focus Energy 4 times and then he attacked a Beedrill with Wing Attack. He hit this Beedrill on the head, a critical hit. Scyther immediately defeated a Beedrill with one hit. The Beedrill saw that one of them was put down and was angry. The 4 Beedrill tried to circle Scyther, but Scyther did not allow that and immediately attacked a Beedrill with a Wing Attack. He hurts this Beedrill badly.
After just a minute, Scyther defeated all Beedrill in close combat. Although he was slightly injured, he used Roost to heal himself after the fight.
Alex was very impressed with Scyther's close combat strength. Zubat on the same LV could only win with a hit and run tactic. But Scyther could win with rough strength.
Then Alex took out a Pokeball and caught the bronze Beedrill. Then he allowed Golbat to drink the blood of the other Beedrill and Scyther to eat the other Beedrill. Although this is cruel, Scyther has to eat and Alex has no other food for Scyther. In the wild, the strong eat the weak.
Alex thinks after joining Team Rocket he's become more immoral. He used to think he would strongly avoid killing a human or a Pokemon. but now he's ready to kill a human or a Pokemon if the Pokemon or human is not innocent. To him, a Pokemon life is worth just as much as human life is.
So why is Alex indirectly killing a Pokemon?. The reason is that Beedrill is a Pokemon that likes to hunt and kill weak Pokemon for fun. Alex has no problem using such Pokemon as food.

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
