"Because I won't feel good," Mishi replied. She pulled her leg back when Xian did not let her go. "And I will get angry if you won't let me," Xian stated, looking straight into her eyes.

"Let me massage them. You will feel good. I do good massage," asserted Xian. "And it's a husband's duty to take care of his wife at all times. You are tiring out yourself a lot these days and it's concerning me. Let's go to the doctor tomorrow," stated Xian as he moved his fingers gently under Mishi's toes.

"I am not too harsh, right?" Xian asked her.

"No, you are not," replied Mishi.

"How are you feeling?" he asked then.

"Good."

"Chang told me something. Do you want to hear what your brother told me?" Xian questioned her.

"Hmm. I want to," Mishi replied.

"That he is happy that I came at the moment in your life when you were lonely. They two have you to hold on you but you had no one to rely on. Even we two had a bad encounter at first but it was one fated one. He said I came as an angel in their lives. His sister used to smile for them but inside she was broken and wanted to live like other women out there who used to go on dates, go on parties but at the opposite end his sister used to do three to four part time jobs to meet the ends."

"Why did you stop speaking?" Mishi asked him with tearful eyes.

"It's heart breaking. Chang told me those things which I never knew," Xian replied and continued massaging her foot. "He always wanted to be older than you two sisters so that he could protect you and Chun from the evil eyes. He was shameful that he could not help out his sister. When in the night you used to come with swollen feet, his heart ripped apart several times- that's because you used to always stand at the work.

One day he saw how the owner of the restaurant scolded you did just breaking a glass. He wanted to punch him and beat him but he could not as it could raise problems for you three. You could not get those stable jobs because of Lee Shan Bin but just one fated encounter of us, everything changed. For the first time, he saw his sister smile even if that was a lie. For the first time he saw his sister relaxed, for the first time he saw a man coming their home to ask about his sister and worry for her.

Even if was hatred between us, he said, there was always love which made our bond strong. That's why he never opposed our relationship. He found out in the beginning itself that I married you out of hatred but he didn't stop me because according to him, I was the perfect man for you. But it is not because any inner realization but it was because your father told him about my name just a day before he died in the accident- that Mishi must marry Xian Zhang." Saying this he looked straight into Mishi's eyes who was crying.

"I always used to wonder that Chang wants to say something to me during that time but I have never thought he was thinking all this," asserted Mishi.

Xian put her left foot down and took the right foot. Placing it over his thigh he started massaging it. "Forgive me for punishing you for the things you never did. If father would be here then he would have despised me. Chang knew things all along this time and you know I am not able to meet my eyes with him. I realized I hurt his sister in the past. I made her cry when he trusted his sister to me," stated Xian. Tears could no longer stay in his eyes and they started pouring down his cheeks when few drops fell over Mishi's foot.

Forthwith, Mishi moved closer to him and embraced him. "It was misunderstanding between us. Stop – stop crying," she said as she caressed his hair. Xian was weeping like a child. "Mark told me that I will regret it and I seriously regret it. Even if you have forgiven me, I can never be able to forgive myself," Xian stated while sobbing.

"I betrayed a brother when I asked for your hand for the first time. He was trusting his sister, his most precious person to me and I did that," Xian stated. Mishi wiped the tears off his cheeks.

"But Chang still trusted you because he knew that you are the only man who could make this Mishi smile and happy. He knew all along that's why he always supported my relationship with you even when it was on the verge of breaking. I know he is more than mature of his age. He always thought of his sisters first before his happiness. He loves his brother Xian most because he was the one who did everything for them who no one did," Mishi asserted.

Mishi planted a soft kiss on his forehead. "You left the massage in the middle. I was feeling good but then you stopped," she said with a smile. Xian smiled too and then pulled away from her. "Sorry, I am doing it. Just rest your back against the headboard," he said.

Mishi nodded and sat like earlier. Xian kept massaging her foot. After five minutes, Mishi told him to stop. "Let's sleep. It's late," Mishi stated. Xian gave a nod and turned off the lights. He slid into the blanket beside Mishi. Mishi's head was resting on Xian's left arm while his right hand were stroking her hair. "Close your eyes," he said.

"First you do. I want to watch you sleep," Mishi proclaimed.

"Even I want so," Xian asserted and then moved his hand over her eyelids. "Close them and sleep. Dream about us," stated Xian. Mishi giggled hearing that. "Give me goodnight kiss for that," she said. Xian pecked her lips. "Sleep, my Mishi," he said softly.
