"I am coming," said Gan Dewei and went out of the room. He walked past his step brother's, Ruo Wan's room when Ruo Wan called him. He ignored him and kept walking. Seeing this Ruo Wan came out of his room and went after him. "I called your name, Dewei," said Ruo Wan as he was also walking beside him.

"I did not hear," he replied.

"Why are you ignoring me? Everything was going good until a few years ago, you started distancing yourself from me," stated Ruo Wan. Hearing that Gan Dewei halted at his place.

Turning to his elder brother, Gan Dewei replied, "Do you not the reason that why did I do that? Do not show your fake sympathy towards me. I know how you and your mother tried kicking me out of this house." Saying this he stepped down the stairs to the kitchen.

"Sir, what do you want?" the cook asked him.

"I need the dinner for two people," replied Gan Dewei. The cook looked at the helper who told Gan Dewei to wait for two minutes. Gan Dewei nodded when Jilong Xi, his step mother came there.

"Eat with us on the dinner table. Your dad will feel good. Bring that girl too whom you brought home," asserted Jilong Xi. Gan Dewei did not respond.

"I am talking to you. Goodness," saying that she walked away. The helper had by then put everything on the tray. "I will leave this to your room," she offered.

"No need," said Dewei and picked the tray up, went to his room. As he was walking upstairs, his father stopped him but he ignored him too. "How dare he ignored me?" muttered Weng Luo in anger when Ruo Wan told him to calm down. Dewei reached the room and closed the door behind him.

"Dinner is here," Dewei pronounced and put the tray down on the table. Ru Shi walked to him and told him that she would leave after dinner. "Why? You change your statements a lot," Gan Dewei said. "You are not going anywhere. Get seated on the couch," voiced Dewei in a commanding tone. Ru Shi did not say a word after that and sat on the couch.

He put the food on a plate and a bowl. "Start eating," said Dewei and handed her the chopsticks. He too sat beside her and started eating. Once they finished eating, Gan Dewei told her that she can sleep on the bed.

"Huh?" "Why? Where are you going to sleep?" Ru Shi asked him.

"On the bed," replied Gan Dewei.

Ru Shi blinked her eyes for a few seconds and then averted her gaze. "Why are you blushing? Moments ago you were going to do that with me," Gan Dewei pronounced.

"What are you saying? I- I" Ru Shi stuttered. Gan Dewei laughed seeing her expressions. Controlling his laughs he said, "Don't worry. I won't do anything to you. Just want to have you beside me." He stood up and went towards the bed. Ru Shi on the other hand was cursing herself internally.

More than ten minutes passed but she remained seated on the couch. Gan Dewei's gaze was fixed at her while she had lowered her eyes. "Do you want me to carry you in a bridal style to this bed?" Gan Dewei asked her.

Promptly Ru Shi rose up her eyes to meet his gaze. "No. Why would I want that? It is just I am feeling hot," Ru Shi asserted.

"Do you want something light to wear?" Dewei questioned.

Instantly Ru Shi shook her head to refuse. Gan Dewei chuckled and spoke, "Then remove that woolen pullover which you are wearing," he suggested. Ru Shi's eyes were fluttering hearing all that. A faint red blush appeared over her cheeks.

"I will sleep here. On this couch," Ru Shi said.

"That is uncomfortable. I will not let you sleep there," Gan Dewei said. He then got down his bed and walked to her. Ru Shi averted her gaze from Gan Dewei's intense gaze. She lowered her eyes as she was now getting more nervous. Right in front of her Gan Dewei stopped and with one swift moment, he carried Ru Shi in his strong arms which startled Ru Shi. She closed her eyes tightly in nervousness because of which a smile carved on Gan Dewei's lips.

He put her gently on the bed on its right side. He switched off the lights, turned on a dim lamp and then went on the left side of the bed. Ru Shi quickly turned her back towards him. Her toes were curling up and down in nervousness when she felt Gan Dewei's arm around her waist while his chin rested on her shoulder.

"Don't be nervous. I just want to hug you and sleep off. I want to have a good sleep," Gan Dewei whispered in her ear. Ru Shi gradually moved her hands towards his which was on her belly. She put her one hand over his and started caressing it.

Gan Dewei smiled. "My mother always used to say that I will get a girl who will love me dearly and will understand me fully. I think you are that girl. My mind stops thinking whenever I am around you or you are around me. I forget about the worries I always have in my mind. Sorry, for randomly asking for a breakup. I was afraid that I might injure you along with me. You are my life which I cannot see getting hurt," Gan Dewei pronounced.

Ru Shi felt that there was something really off with that guy. She used to think him as a notorious guy but those past few days changed her perception towards him. She found how lonely he feels in this big house and unlike the guys her friends used to describe to her, this guy was nothing like them. She felt how respectful he was towards her since the beginning. Even if he is in some wrong profession, he prioritize her and decided to change for her.

She turned to her and looked into his eyes. "Don't ever ask for a breakup. I won't let you go. As I said earlier, you are the one who made me fall for you so, you have to take responsibility for this," she said. Gan Dewei nodded and planted a soft kiss over her forehead.
