Gan Dewei saw Ru Shi coming towards his car so he opened the door for her. Seeing that Ru Shi fastened her steps and then got into the car. She closed the door. "I thought you run away after doing that then you dropped a message which clearly depicted that you are angry when I should be the one to get angry at you," Ru Shi asserted as she closed the door. She turned her head to look at him when she paused.
"What has happened to you? Why are you injured?" Ru Shi asked worriedly. There were bruises of Gan Dewei's face. Blood was coming out from the side of his lips. "Let's break up," said Han Dewei.
"What?" Ru Shi exclaimed.
"You are not the one made for me. So, let's break up," he pronounced again. Ru Shi stared into his eyes for a while and then said, "I don't want to. First let's go to the hospital."
"No, I am going home," said Gan Dewei and averted his gaze. "I will not call you ever again. Let's stop here," Gan Dewei said.
"Okay, I will stop here if you will take me to your home else I will tell everyone that you are breaking up with me without giving a reason," declared Ru Shi in an affirmed tone.
"You can tell everyone then. I won't mind. You should leave now," said Gan Dewei.
"I won't unless you will take me to your home or you will go to the hospital with me," proclaimed Ru Shi and crossed her arms. Gan Dewei turned to look at her. He found she was adamant on her decision. "Fine, then I will use force to throw you out of the car," he said.
"Do that then too. I will come to your home in the cab. Forgot? You kidnapped me once," stated Ru Shi.
"It's late," Gan Dewei said.

"Not that late. I have traveled a lot in the late night too." Ru Shi snapped at him. Gan Dewei pinched the skin between his brows and then looked at Ru Shi. He then started the engine and drove to his home.
In the entire journey there was complete silence between the two. Ru Shi dropped a message to Chang saying she will not come home that night and then glanced at Gan Dewei. His knuckles were wounded too which worried Ru Shi. Finally she broke the ice and spoke, "Why don't we go to the hospital first? You are injured badly."
"Why do you want to go home with me?" Gan Dewei asked.
"Because I want to. Do I need a reason for that?" Ru Shi queried him. Gan Dewei did not respond after that. There was a complete silence between them again. Thirty minutes later he applied brakes right in front of his home. He then got down the car and walked in. Ru Shi too followed him in.
As they crossed the living room, Gan Dewei's parents saw them. "Dewei, where were you?" shouted his father. Ru Shi who halted at her place upon hearing the roaring voice of Weng Luo.
"Let's go," Gan Dewei said and grabbed Ru Shi's hand. His father by then came there. Ru Shi bowed her head to greet his father but Gan Dewei pulled her so she could not properly greet him.
"Dewei, Stop!" his father shouted at him but he did not. Ru Shi also told him to stop but he did not listen to her either. He pushed the door and went in, pulling Ru Shi along with him. As soon as Ru Shi stepped in, he closed the door behind him.
"Why did you not tell your parents are here? I think I should leave," she said and turned to go when Gan Dewei said, "You are not leaving." He locked the door from inside and then turned to look at her. "Why did you volunteer to come here when you were going to leave?" Gan Dewei asked her.

"I tho- thought that you live alone. I mean-" she stopped as she saw Gan Dewei was taking off his shirt. She put her tiny palms in front of her eyes to prevent herself from seeing Gan Dewei's naked upper body. "Why did you stop?" he asked and turned to see when he found Ru Shi had covered her eyes from her palms.
A tiny smile carved on his lips seeing the shy girl in front of him. He went to the closet and took a pair of clothes for him. "Tell me after I will change," said Gan Dewei and went towards the washroom.
Ru Shi peeked through the gaps in her gingers to check if he was gone or not and found he was not there. She turned to the door and grabbed the knob. But the door did not open. "Did he lock it?" murmured Ru Shi and released her hand from the door knob. She walked further in with tiny steps.
She looked around when her eyes fell on a photo frame. It was placed on the bedside table. She picked it up and stroked her hand over that frame. "He used to look like this?" murmured Ru Shi when she heard the clanking sound of the door. She put the frame down on the table and stepped back. Gan Dewei came out of the washroom and came there.
"The door is not opening. Please check it," Ru Shi said softly.
"I locked it from inside," Gan Dewei said and opened the drawer of a table. He took out a first aid box and sat on the bed. "Why did you lock it? I have to go," asserted Ru Shi.
"You are not going anywhere now. It is quite late," said Gan Dewei. He took out a disinfectant bottle from the first aid box and a cotton pad and gently pressed it over his wound near the lip. "Ahh," he winced in pain when Ru Shi went towards him. "I can help," she said.
"It's fine. I am doing," he said when Ru Shi grabbed the cotton pad from him and sat beside him on the bed. "You should not refuse for the help. It is not like someone is pitying you," said Ru Shi and angled his face. She gently cleaned it with the disinfectant and blew the air from her mouth gently over it. "I am cautious. If you feel pain then tell me," stated Ru Shi.
Gan Dewei was immersed into her eyes. His own family never showed any concern towards him but this girl always does good to him- he thought. Ru Shi applied the ointment over the bruises on his cheek and put a tiny bandage near the lip.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" Ru Shi asked.
"No," Gan Dewei replied.
"Liar," Ru Shi said.
"What?" he exclaimed.
"When you unbuttoned you- your shirt, I happened to see that you got wounds there too," said Ru Shi while stuttering. Gan Dewei did not say anything when Ru Shi spoke, "take it off. I will apply ointment there too. Wounds should be treated early else they leave behind marks."
Gan Dewei kept gazing into the eyes of Ru Shi.
