Yuwan was working on his desktop when Xia came there. She sat on the couch and turned her face to him. Yuwan asked, "What happened? Something must've been bothering you."

"I'm frustrated because I proposed Mark," murmured Xia. Yuwan stopped typing on the keyboard and looked at Xia. 

"What?," asked Yuwan.

"I proposed to him two weeks ago but he rejected me. He loves Yin," murmured Xia. Yuwan got up from his chair and went near him. Sitting on the opposite side of her, Yuwan said, "You fell for a guy for the first time. At least you should've told me."

"That I got rejected? I happened to see him yesterday but I've to change my path from him. I never did this in my life but for that guy….ahhh….he will laugh at me to get to know about this," muttered Xia and put her palms on her face.

"Why did he reject you?," asked Yuwan. Xia put her hands down and looked at Yuwan. "Well, he loves Yin Mei. I think it's been a long time. But then it was just an infatuation. I don't miss him…...like I'm just uncomfortable seeing him after that day" Stated Xia and sighed.

Yuwan laughed hearing this. "It's my first time seeing you talking in such a way. Your glare is enough for the people. Well, it's good that you got over with him unlike a mad lover," said Yuwan and smiled.

"Hey even you gave up on Mishi." Said Xia and crossed her arms. 

"Hmm. I have to as she was already married. If she hadn't then I would've never let her go. But then it was all in the past," said Yuwan.

"You like her that much?," asked Xia.

"I used to. I mean I have given up on her and only see her as a friend," answered Yuwan. Taking a deep breath he said, " Well dad wants me to get married by the end of this year, although it's not a compulsion but I should I guess." Yuwan said in quite a damp voice.

Xia looked at Yuwan and somewhere in her heart felt bad. After a few seconds she spoke. "Yuwan, let's date." This was something unexpected for Yuwan. He blinked his eyes for a few seconds. 

"I know I did a plunder that day. Well, I never told you I should've accepted the truth. But I was scared that's why I lied I don't remember anything." Stated Xia. 

"You know why I never agreed to date you," murmured Yuwan and clasped the fingers of his both hands. 

"Hmm. Our friendship," answered Xia. Yuwan raised his head to look at her. "Exactly. Our friendship is really unique. I don't want to…"

Xia cut his words and said, "I'm your friend that's why I'm saying. I had no family till you met me in the orphanage. You and uncle gave me everything. You also know uncle has cancer and that's why he wants to see you as a married man. We know each other so let's date." 

Yuwan lowered his eyes. "I...I…." Yuwan stopped stuttering and took a deep breath. After a pause he said, "Xia, I'll think about this." Xia smiled hearing this.

He tilted his head and asked, "Why do you want to date me?" 

"I won't beat around the bush. Because I want to….like there's no specific reason," murmured Xia. Yuwan wanted to speak further but then Xia's phone started ringing. She excused herself saying the call was from a client. 

Yuwan laid his head back and closed his eyes. "You still have a crush on me, Xia or you're doing this to make dad's wish true." Thought Yuwan in his mind.

Mark smiled hearing his brother's talks about Mishi and they went inside Xian's room. Xian laid down on the bed while Mark sat on the sofa there.

"Ahh, I had planned a movie date for us but my bad. I can't see this movie with her," murmured Xian and sighed. He then raised his head and was going to speak when the housemaid knocked at the door.

They both looked at her. "Yin Mei has come. She is waiting for you two in the hall," informed the maid to them and walked away. Xian quickly sat on the bed while Mark looked at Xian in confusion.

"Ask Mishi. She wanted to surprise you. Well, we got to know one more thing that Yin was being blackmailed by Bai Lao. I'll explain those things to you later. Let's first meet Yin," muttered Xian and put on his slippers.

Mark was very happy hearing all this. They both reached downstairs in the living room. "Where's mom?," asked Xian from the maid who was running upstairs to the terrace. 

"Madame has gone for some shopping with her friend who came earlier here," answered the maid. Mark almost reached the stairs end and saw Yin who wasn't looking at him. 

Xian reached near Mark and whispered, "let me talk first then you two can talk." Saying this he went to Yin. Seeing Xian near him, Yin got up from the sofa and shook hands with Xian.

"Hey, no hand shakes," murmured Xian and quickly embraced her into a hug. "I missed you a lot. Well you should've come earlier. Mishi and Chang have left for their house," murmured Xian. 

"You mean?," murmured Yin.

"Hmm. How are you?," asked Xian, releasing her and observing her from head to toe.

"I'm good," murmured Yin in a low voice. "Thanks." Yin showed her gratitude. 

"Say one more time and I'll not talk to you," said Xian. Yin smiled hearing him. Mark was just seeing two of them talking with each other. 

"Ahh, I've some work Yin. Mark, please continue talking with her." Said Xian and walked out of the house. Yin put a gentle smile on her lips and asked about his well being. Mark didn't say anything for a few minutes when Yin called his name.

Coming into the reality he went to Yin and unknowingly hugged her tightly. "Thanks for coming here. I won't let you go," murmured Mark and tightened his grip on her. The tears started pouring out of Mark's eyes. Even Yin couldn't control herself and broke down.

Sobbing and wiping his tears from the back of his palm Mark released her and cupped Yin's face. "Are you okay?," asked Mark.

Yin shook her head in refusal. "I'm sorry. I never wanted to. I should've stopped when you told me to but…" 

Mark wiped off her tears with his thumbs and told her to calm down.

"It's fine. Why did you lie? I know at some point you did want to hurt Mishi but then Xian told me that Bai was blackmailing you." Said Mark with a confused look.

"Yeah. I was mad at that time. But I was forced by Bai to hire them and had to show you all that it was me. She is a dangerous girl who can do anything, Mark" said Yin while sobbing. 

"Shh...It's fine. Everything is fine now. Take some rest," said Mark and grabbed her hands. They started walking towards the guest room when Yin said, "Mark, I didn't want to come but then Mishi told me something which made me come here. This family is really precious to me," said Yin. 

Mark was listening to her and they reached outside the guest room. Mark pushed the door and then turned to Yin. "Go inside and take rest. If you want something to eat then tell me. I'll make it get ready," said Mark.

"It's fine. I want to sleep for sometime," murmured Yin. Mark nodded and told her to go in. Yin walked inside the room while Mark walked away from there.

Yin in her room sat on the bed. "Thank you Mishi for giving me a chance again. I am really delighted and feeling less burdened after confessing my crimes. 

But the main reason I came back is for some other reason. Bai's words are still scary. I don't know what she's planning sitting inside the jail but this time I'll protect you with my life." Murmured Yin with a worried look.
