Mishi took out the tube which the doctor had given her. She lightly grabbed Xian's foot and started applying the ointment over it. "Apply it gently," whispered Xian, wincing in pain.

"Sorry. I never thought you'll get hurt," mumbled Mishi and blew at his foot after applying the ointment and then stood up.

She then crossed her arms. "One more thing don't kiss me without my permission," murmured Mishi and walked to the cupboard.

"I don't want to but my tongue was burning. You wanted to kill me. Moreover we are husband- wife so it's normal." Xian smirked saying this.

"Nobody gets killed by eating such a small amount of spice," muttered Mishi and took out two blankets from there.

"You want me to die?," asked Xian.

"How can I think ill of my husband? I just wanted to teach you a lesson," murmured Mishi.

"What if I got seriously injured in your games?," asked Xian. Mishi put a blanket on him and said, "I won't do it anymore. I was angry with you, that's why I did that. Please forgive me." Saying this she turned to the door when Xian said, "sleep here. I might have to go to the washroom at night and you'll have to help me."

"There's only a bed here. The sofa is also small. Call me I'll come," mumbled Mishi.

"What if you'll be in deep sleep and I couldn't even come there walking. Didn't you hear the doctor?," asked Xian.

"Do you expect me to sleep in the bed then?," asked Mishi.

"No, I don't want that. Sleep on the floor", said Xian, shaking her head in refusal.

"Seriously Xian," said Mishi.

Xian smiled hearing her. "Just kidding. The bed is quite big. You can sleep on the other end. Don't touch me in the night," mumbled Xian.

"I will never sleep with you," snapped Mishi angrily at him and walked out of there to the living room. She put the blanket on the big couch and laid down on it. She was tired so she fell asleep within minutes.

In the room Xian was unable to sleep because of the pain on his foot. "Is God cursing me because I hurt her earlier? But God you should know that she's the one because of whom I'm not leaving my life fully," mumbled Xian and then got up. He put some pillows on his back and comfortably sat in that position.

"I was thinking of taking revenge from her but she's the one who's taking revenge from me. I've to do the same thing to her as she did to me....but mom, Mark, Li and Yin will kill me before I'll do anything to her. I don't want to do anything to her but I just want her to realize my pain too.

Ah my foot! How could she soundly sleep when her husband is injured." Xian winced and then picked his phone. He called Mishi but her phone was off.

"Seriously this girl has turned off her phone saying she will come if I call her."

Xian got up from the bed and walked with his one leg putting less pressure on the other. He opened the door and walked towards the living room. "I won't let her sleep. Why should I suffer alone. She should suffer with me too," murmured Xian and reached the living room.

He saw Mishi was sleeping soundly. "How dare you take sleep when I'm awake," mumbled Xian and shook her up. "Mishi wake up!! wake up Mishi."

Mishi opened her eyes and saw Xian was standing before her. She immediately got seated on the couch. "What happened?" Asked Mishi rubbing her eyes.

"You switched off your phone. Get up and come to the room," ordered Xian.

"Why?," asked Mishi with disinterest.

"Just come," said Xian angrily and pulled her up.

"Your foot is okay?,"asked Mishi. "No it's not. Help me in going there," murmured Xian. Mishi held his arm with one hand and with another she grabbed her waist. "Let's go", said Mishi and they reached the room and Mishi helped him by sitting on the bed.

"What do you want now?," asked Mishi.

"Stay with me," said Xian. Mishi looked at him and said, "I think you forget we both hate each other and you want revenge from me."

"Thanks for reminding me. I still hate you," snapped Xian at her. Mishi got up from the bed and said, "Xian I found something." She walked towards the cupboard and took out a scrapbook.

She opened it and said, "You really loved Bai. I can judge by looking at these photos." Forgetting his pain he immediately got up from the bed and snatched the book from her.

"Who told you to see my things? Did I ever look into your and that guy's things?," Xian yelled at her.

"Why are you getting angry? I just want to"

Xian cut her in the middle and said, "What do you want now? I told you on the very first night of our marriage not to touch my things. Did I ever go behind your past? What did you do with that guy or anyone else." Xian angrily bashed at her.

"He's not my lover and you don't have any right to associate us like this," stated Mishi.

"Oh really? Then what were you doing in the park with him? You both were making out there forgetting that it's a public place," said Xian angrily.

Mishi recalled the day when she was with Zhao. He was confessing his feelings but she didn't accept him. "Xian you're misunderstanding me. You can't say such things without knowing anything."

"I believe in the things I see," muttered Xian and turned back to bed.

"Oh really. Then I should also believe the things that I see today. How you were hugging that girlfriend of yours. Bai was right. Indeed you cheated her that day with Yin Mei. I was a fool to believe you.

You blame me for that but Xian it's your mistake that day. You were with another woman when Bai was still in relationship with you. I'm happy that I became the reason for your breakup with her." Mishi said to him in one shot.

Mishi wanted to say further but then Xian turned to her with anger all over his face.

"I thought that you're not like what I'm thinking. But I was wrong. The girl who was the reason for my pain has no right to say this. And don't ever say a word about Yin. She's not someone who you can accuse anytime you want." Xian snapped at her.

"Why? Felt pain? You double timed and when Bai found out about that you ran after her. Why? Should I tell you?" Said Mishi looking into his eyes.

"Because you were nothing at that time. You wanted money from her that's why. She's from a good family and you thought not to make her go from you. Ahh...God I'm happy that I saved my friend's life from the jerk like you," said Mishi angrily.

Xian couldn't take her words anymore so he grabbed her arm and said, "Mishi don't make me do what I don't want to."

"Leave my arm," shouted Mishi at him but Xian tightened his grip on her and she winced in pain. Unable to bear it she slapped him hard.

Tears were falling from her eyes. Xian lost his temper and pushed her to the wall, "You've made a wrong observation again. Mishi you'll regret what you just said to me."

"I won't regret this," mumbled Mishi angrily.

Xian remembered something at that moment, the words of Chang and Chunhua. "Please take care of our sister....."

He released his grip from her arms and stepped back. Both were crying but for different reasons. Xian for hearing such words from Mishi's mouth and realizing Bai's hatred for him when he only loved her. Mishi because Xian again maligned her character, on her fate and for believing Xian again.

Mishi ran out of there shutting the door behind her. Xian started throwing the things in the room whatever comes in his hand. The vases, the lamps, the photo frames and of course their wedding reception photo which his mom made for them. Xian's hands started bleeding and he fell on the bed with tears over his face.

Mishi heard the noises from the living room and silent tears flowed down from her eyes.
