It was midnight and Mishi had set up everything in the house. The room was quite spacious but she had to work hard so that she could pay the rent, the school fees of Chunhua and Chang, and to meet the other expenses. She looked at her phone and saw 20 missed calls from Zhao. She called his number.

"Hello Zhao, sorry I was busy," said Mishi while setting the photo of her parents on the wall.

"What happened? I even went to your house," mumbled Zhao with a worried voice.

"Zhao, actually we shifted from there two blocks ahead. I will take that money later so don't worry," murmured Mishi.

"How are Chang and Chunhua?" asked Zhao.

"They are sleeping," replied Mishi.

"Okay. Where are you going to work? I can recommend you to my friend's cafe shop." Zhao offered help to Mishi.

"Thanks, Zhao for asking this but I'll find a new job myself so you don't need to worry," muttered Mishi.

"Okay. Then, I'll meet you tomorrow as tomorrow is the birthday of CC," Zhao said with happiness.

"Yeah well see you tomorrow. I'm tired so I'm hanging up," told Mishi Zhao. "Ok bye. Goodnight and sweet dreams" wished Zhao and hung up. She put her phone aside when it rang again. It showed her best friend's name, Bai Lao.

"Finally you remember that you have got a friend too," said Mishi.

"Sorry, Mishi. I was in Japan. So sorry," mumbled Bai and told her to forgive her.

Mishi laughed hearing this. "Okay. I forgive you." They started talking about themselves when Bai asked, "Where are you working?"

"Well, you know my uncle did the same thing. I was thrown out of both jobs," mumbled Mishi and sighed.

"Oh, dear. Lui Lan's friend owns a bar. The salary is quite good there, almost 3 times of your past jobs and your uncle won't be able to find you there." Bai offered her a job.

"I don't have any shame in working there but Chang and Chunhua," murmured Mishi and then stopped speaking further.

"Mishi, it's a bar and restaurant. Only rich people come here so you don't have to be afraid. You've to work till 7 pm, no night shifts. Moreover, right now you need money so just go for it. I'll talk to my boyfriend as the bar owner is his friend so you don't have to worry," said Bai and tried making Mishi understand.

Mishi thanked her and told her that she will work there.

"Okay, I'll talk to my boyfriend and then will call you," saying this Bai cut the call.

After 10 minutes she called back Mishi and told her that she has to work there from tomorrow and the salary is 550$ a month with two holidays in a month.

"Really? Omg. Thanks, Bai. Thanks a lot," said Mishi happily.

"Don't thank me. You know that we're sisters. Now get some sleep. Bye, take care of yourself." Before Mishi could say further, Bai cut the call.

Xian and Mark were inside the bar. "After many months we're here," said Mark looking around the bar.

"Why? Can't we come here?," asked Xian.

"We can but you didn't come here in a few months that's why I'm saying," muttered Mark. They seated around a VIP table and Mark ordered drinks for them.

"Listen, Mark, you don't believe me whom I've met after 6 years," mumbled Xian.

"Who?" asked Mark with a raised brow.

"That girl who made my life hell," Xian answered and got angry.

"What? When?" asked Mark worriedly.

"I think fate is with me now. I'll now take my revenge from her. She will lose everything just like she did with me," muttered Xian while smirking.

"Hey brother, Don't do this. That happened six years ago. Your ex has moved on so it will impact only you." Suggested Mark when the waiter came there with drinks. Xian took the drink and gulped it in a single shot.

"Mark, if you don't wanna help then just stay away because I know what I'm doing," murmured Xian and put the glass on the table.

"Bro, you're insane. What will you get after taking revenge from that girl? Happiness? No, you will regret it," advised Mark. Xian was chuckled at hearing his advice.

"You're wrong. The only regret in my life is that I didn't sue that girl. She should be happy that I'm not harming her siblings," muttered Xian and held the glass tightly.

"What? Siblings? Xian, do not do anything to her. Your ex was also at fault. She was dating her current boyfriend, maybe that girl doesn't know a single thing about that." Mark tried explaining Xian and sipped the drink.

"Mark, she's not what you're thinking. So just stay away from this, " muttered Xian and continue drinking.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday my dear siblings. Happy birthday to you," sang Mishi the happy birthday song for her siblings, and clapped for them.

"You've made this?," asked Chunhua.

"Of course. Sisi knows how to bake a cake without an oven," mumbled Mishi and took the cream from the cake and put it on their noses.

"So my siblings are now 16 years old. Yayyyy" shouted Mishi happily.

Chang and Chunhua smiled at her. "Okay so here are your gifts. For Chang, I bought a new pair of shoes and a shirt and for Chunhua I've bought a dress which you always wanted," said Mishi and gave them the gifts. Chunhua looked at her gift and jumped in happiness.

"Sisi, I always wanted this dress. Thank you." Chunhua kissed her sister's cheek.

"Chang, how's yours?" asked Mishi, pinching his nose.

"It's good but you should've purchased something for yourself," said Chang, putting the boxes aside.

"It's not my birthday," mumbled Mishi and put the plates on the table.

"That's why we bought something for you," said Chang and handed the box to her.

"What? Why?" asked Mishi.

"Because we saw last year in the summer you were trying this dress but you didn't buy it. So we saved the pocket money for a year to give this," stated Chunhua.

Tears fell from Mishi's eyes. She walked to them and packed their cheeks. "When did you both grow up? Our parents must be seeing us," said Mishi with a broken voice.

The trio hugged tightly each other for a few minutes. "Come let's have breakfast", said Mishi and walked towards the table.

"We can be late today," murmured Chang.

"Why?" asked Mishi.

"Well there's a practice of Chunhua so I'll come with her," said Chang to Mishi.

"Okay. I'll also come late. I've found a good job with a 550$ a month salary," muttered Mishi.

"You cracked the interview?," asked Chunhua with a surprising look.

"It's the other job. So you both won't have to worry about anything now okay", said Mishi smilingly.

"Miss Xin, Mr. Lui Lan told me to hire you so I think you should start working. The manager of the bar will tell you about the other things," said Ying Lai, a close friend of Lui Lan(Bai Lao's boyfriend).

"Thank you, sir," mumbled Mishi and walked out of his office. She went to the manager to ask about the work.

"Mishi you've to work in the restaurant till 5 and after that work in the bar for 2 hours. Sometimes you could be given night shifts, like once a month and you can't refuse them," said the manager, Lian Xi.

"Okay sir," murmured Mishi.

"The dresses are in the changing room. So now go start working," said Lian with a smile. Mishi walked away from there to the restaurant and started working.

She cleaned the tables first and then took the orders from the customers there. The other staff in the restaurant were also quite good so she got adjusted to that environment quickly. After working till 5 pm, she walked upstairs to the bar and went to the changing room. She changed her clothes and found the dress a little bit tight so she went to the manager.

"Okay, we will see that. If you have got a good dress then you can wear that. Wear the apron above that dress." The manager told her to which she nodded and went to the changing room. She looked inside her bag, the dress her siblings had gifted her so she thought to wear that.

She walked out of the changing room and went to the cellar where different wines are placed.

"Mishi here take these drinks to table 14. Your dress is nice." The bartender complimented her.

She thanked him and walked to table 14. She put the drinks there and left for the other drinks. She then looked at her watch which was showing 7:00 "my shift is over," murmured Mishi and went to put off her apron when the bartender said, "Mishi there are VIP customers at tables 1 and 2. Others are busy so please serve them the drinks."

Mishi took the drinks from him and walked towards table 1 first. Placing the drinks there she walked towards table 2. Since it was dim light so she couldn't see the slippery floor because a drink fell there by mistake by another guy. She kept on walking when her heel slipped on the slippery floor and the drinks fell over the guy who was just going to sit there.

She fell on the floor and the glasses broke down. Everyone in the bar turned their faces to her. She tried to get up but again slipped and this time the broken glass pieces pierced her hand. She passed a low scream which wasn't heard by anyone. She gathered her strength and got up from the floor.

Without looking at the man she started apologizing to him. The manager too came there and looked at Mishi and then at the VIP guy.

"Sorry, sir. I apologize on behalf of my staff." The manager apologized while bowing his head.

"Why is it always you?" yelled the guy looking at Mishi. Hearing his familiar voice Mishi raised her head and muttered, "You?????"
