As she stared at that white toy, she finally understood why she had been worried about Lin Ye's confession.

She had been worried because according to what he said, he had fallen in love with her long before she got married. Considering the timeline, it was likely to be when she had a boyfriend: Qin Zhifan.

He might not mind that but what about the fact that she didn't even marry Qin Zhifan in the end but his cousin,Tyler instead?

Would he mind that she had a son, and that he carried the blood of the Qins in him?

She had been worried that he might not be able to accept her son.

"I'll get you a drink." Yun Xuan dashed off to the kitchen, making Wan Jia laugh. "Your relationship must have improved."

She didn't stay for long. "I was going home and decided to drop by and pay you a visit. But..." she snuck a glance at Yun Xuan. "I will not overstay my welcome."

Yun Xuan's face flushed. Why did she make it sound like she was leaving because she did not want to be a light bulb? There was obviously nothing going on between her and Lin Ye, alright?

But that couldn't be said about what she was about to tell him before Wan Jia came in.

"Before my boss came in a while ago, what were you going to tell me?" Lin Ye probed as soon as Wan Jia left.

Yun Xuan clenched her lips so tightly they formed a straight line. She was going to tell him that they could try being in a relationship.

As expected, it would have been best if she wasn't interrupted. All her confidence flew out the window.

When her heart was finally settled regarding this matter, they stayed together a bit more, mainly because every time she wanted to leave, Lin Ye would find excuses to make her stay a little longer.

Before they knew it, it was night already.

"I really have to go now. It's already so late: my baby must miss me. Damn it... what sort of mother am I?"
