Since the Lin family had stepped into the matter, they were able to find the surveillance footage before it got deleted by the evil people. The police were just in time to retrieve it.

Not everything was shown in the surveillance footage since the car was at a blind spot for a while. However, the information they received was double-sided.

"Have you met this driver before?" The police officer asked.

"No."

"If you are meeting for the first time, why would he have a motive to hurt you? How were you so sure that he meant evil?"

"She's the victim here." Another police officer reminded.

"That is yet to be determined. I say she could have deliberately murdered the taxi driver and reported it earlier so she could play the victim."

Yun Xuan frowned. "Excuse me, I don't know him. Why would I want to murder a stranger? Besides, you saw it from the footage that I snatched the gun from him. He was the one who was armed. Do taxi drivers walk around with knives and guns nowadays?"

"I didn't see any of that." The first police officer said sternly.

"What? But the footage..."

"It was taken by the security cameras along the road. It wouldn't capture clearly what exactly happened." He said, almost making Yun Xuan sigh in relief before he continued, "Which is why I think this is organized crime. You must have known this and used it against him, since you know that everyone will easily think of you as the weak victim."

"What? You are accusing me of something I didn't do. This is against the law." Yun Xuan was confused. What was this man talking about? Weren't they supposed to get justice for her?

Her body trembled as she glared daggers at the police officer.

"Heh. You want to teach me law, huh?"

Yun Xuan almost couldn't control her temper anymore. "I told you the truth based on what happened and you have no right to slander me. I didn't have any motive of murder to start with."

The police officer gave her a once-over.

"You have no motive, you say? But aren't you a murderer's daughter? Perhaps you are a psycho and want to kill everyone you come into contact with."

"You!" Yun Xuan almost exploded in anger.

However, she saw the man's smug look on time. She realized with a start that this man was trying to rile her up.

Was he tying to anger her into attacking him?

If she attacked him, she would be detained. Wait. Why did it feel strange? Was he trying to forcefully arrest her for physically assaulting the police? Why would he do that?

She glanced at him in shock. How scary...

After this realization downed on her, she refused to speak. She was ready to remain silent even if they resorted to torture.

Luckily everything she had said just now was exactly what happened. She didn't twist any facts. There wouldn't be any loophole.

"I want to ask this. Since you attacked someone for self defense as you put it, why did you run back to your apartment? Was it to hide away?"

Yun Xuan bit her tongue and remained silent.

This was getting scarier by the minute. She was afraid she might lose her temper.

That police officer just now has recieved a bribe. He was going to use your own words or actions to forcefully get you into prison. Luckily, Old Zhou found out and reported him. No one will bother you any more."

Yun Xuan didn't know what to say. Just now she was scared. Scared that she was going to have a murder charge against her name and might be prosecuted for it.

She was just starting to think of a way to obtain evidence but the Lin family had done it already, and that fast?
