Yun Xuan bit her lip awkwardly.

This was a normal request considering his condition. Of course, he would be afraid of bumping into something while trying to lie down since he didn't know his exact position. However, why did it sound so strange coming out of his mouth? It was almost as though he was doing it on purpose.

'Just take it as putting Little Feng to sleep'. She thought. This way, it would be less awkward.

With gritted teeth, she pressed on his shoulders and made him lie down. Luckily he couldn't see her right now.

When he was in a comfortable sleeping position, she pulled the covers over him.

Lin Ye clearly felt her scent as she tucked him in. It gave him the urge to grab onto her. Actually, he felt that urge from the moment he felt her soft hands press him down. He really wanted to hug her...

Resisting this temptation, he tried to catch some sleep.

"I'm leaving now." Yun Xuan said after what felt like a battle.

"Take care." Lin Ye said when he felt her move away.

Yun Xuan responded with a "hmm" and left the hospital room.

By the time Yun Xuan left the hospital, she realized that she had spent a lot of time off work. She did not regret spending time with Lin Ye – it was just that henceforth she would have to discipline herself regarding the time spent away from working.

This was the downside of working online – one could as well forget about what they needed to do or procrastinate it and end up being under a lot of constraint later.

She would surely have a lot to do this evening.

Meanwhile, in the hospital.

Five minutes after Yun Xuan left.

"Tut. Tut. A certain someone finally learnt to use their brain to charm women."

"Lin Lihua, what are you doing here?" Lin Ye was in the middle of thinking about his beautiful goddess when he was interrupted by Lin Lihua's teasing voice.

What was up with her? Was she spying on them?

"I see. Since a certain someone managed to bring back their beloved, useless cupids like me have become worthless." Lin Lihua placed the fruits she had brought onto the table.

"Don't mind me. I only brought fruits. Your boss will be here to see you tomorrow."

When she was done delivering the message, she turned to leave.

"Wait, Lin Lihua." The man spoke when he heard her footsteps go further away.

"What, you want to ask for love advice? I'm telling you, you will not afford it."

Lin Ye clenched his jaw disdainfully. Who wants to ask for love advice? "Did Xuanxuan bring any fruits?"

"She did."

"Peel me some."

Lin Lihua was speechless. Since her rank as a cupid had been lost, she had now reduced to a nanny? Not only that, he was not asking for her fruits but for Yun Xuan... don't tell her Yun Xuan's fruits tasted better?

Nonetheless, she took an apple from the basket of Yun Xuan's fruits and went to wash and peel it.

When she was done, however, the man adamantly refused to be fed by her. He preferred to feel around and eat it on his own.

Lin Lihua had nothing to say.

"Don't you have work to do?" Lin Ye asked when he still felt her presence after a while.

"It's night." Lin Lihua was not shocked that he was asking this. His world was immersed in darkness. He could not tell day from night and must have thought that it was still working hours.

"Then, don't you have a family to take care of?"

"You ungrateful brat. I was worried you would feel lonely and was even considering calling a friend over so we could stay here with you but turns out you don't need me. I'll be on my way now."

Lin Ye chuckled. Of course he didn't need her. He only needed one woman.

When Lin Lihua left the hospital, she drove to Southside Villas. She still had a family matter to take care of.

The next day, Yun Xuan was early. She had once again cooked breakfast.

She made her way into the hospital with her basket of fresh fruits and a food flask.

"Miss Yun, you are here." The doctor in charge of Lin Ye greeted.

"Hello doctor. How is Mr. Lin?"

The doctor had a happy smile plastered across her face. "Different from what I expected.

Most patients who wake up to such darkness become so sad that some of them end up depressed. There are even a few suicidal cases. However, Mr. Lin is quite positive about his current circumstances. It is much easier to get better if his mood is that good."

Yun Xuan listened on with interest. She had also been scared that Lin Ye might not be able to accept his condition and might be too depressed about it. Hearing that he was in a good mood, she was happier.

Of course, he was only happy because she was taking of him but she didn't know this.

When she entered his room, he was sitting in the same posture as the previous day. Yun Xuan wondered whether it was automatic reflex.

"Yun Xuan, you are here. I was waiting for you." His voice was filled with obvious joy.

"How exactly did you know that it's me?" Yun Xuan asked the question she had been wondering about since the previous day.

"Instinct." He answered in one word.

Yun Xuan had no words to refute his answer. She couldn't come up with any other possibility anyway.

"You didn't bring Little Feng today?" He questioned when he didn't hear any child sounds.

"He's with aunt Xia."

The previous night, she had invited Xia Rou over for dinner and after spending time giving Yun Xuan tips about work, it was late so she spent the night in Yun Xuan's apartment.

Of course, Yun Feng was especially happy about this.

She had left the two of them to play for a while.

Lin Ye was happy about the news. He might get to spend some alone time with her.

However, there was a larger problem at the moment. "Erm... Yun Xuan, I haven't washed yet. I feel sweaty. It's so disgusting."
