Yun Xuan was surprised by his form of adressing her and so was he. He had always wanted to call her 'Xuanxuan' and had done so severally in his dreams. Just now when he felt her stand to leave, it had unconciously slipped his lips.

Luckily, Yun Xuan wasn't unhappy about it.... or at least she didn't do or say anything that she would have done if she was unhappy.

She looked at his hand that was trying to grab hers but because she stood up suddenly, it had missed and grabbed onto the air. Despite that, he still made another attempt.

She felt a wave of guilt for making things difficult for him.

"What is it?"

Lin Ye bit the walls of his mouth. He wanted to ask her to put Yun Feng to sleep on his bed and spend some time with him. However, he remembered that Yun Feng was still a baby and might catch infections if he stayed in the ward for too long. He changed his words with a hint of longing. "Take care."

Yun Xuan's gaze lingered on him.

In the end, she couldn't figure out what it was that the man might have wanted to tell her so she let it be.

"Sure. You should rest a little more. I will ask the doctor when you can be discharged."

"Mmh." He agreed, though he didn't wish to be discharged soon. It wasn't because he liked being in a hospital.

It was simply because of what Lin Lihua had said: if she was busy for the most part, Yun Xuan would automatically take care of him.

She had only stayed for a few minutes and he was very happy about it. He greedily and selfishly wanted to get more of her care. It didn't matter even if it was in a hospital. Would the heavens forgive him for being selfish and asking for too much?

Contrary to his hope, the doctor informed Yun Xuan that Lin Ye could be discharged in two days.

He was pretty much better and could recuperate at home. Regarding his eyes and legs, he would only need to go back to the hospital every month.

This kind of news was a relief to most patients, but not for Lin Ye. When the doctor informed him about it and told him that she had already told the good news to Miss Yun, he was not happy.

He was awfully disappointed.

Even he didn't expect that he would one day hate being discharged so much.

In the evening, Yun Xuan dropped her little troublemaker at the Lin residence to play with Xia Rou before she went to help Lin Ye with dinner. She had cooked it herself once again.

"Why do you look unhappy?" Yun Xuan probed, setting the empty bowl aside. She couldn't see his eyes but she could tell from his mannerisms that he was not happy. At least not as happy as he looked earlier when she fed him lunch.

"I'm alright." Lin Ye dismissed, before Lin Lihua's words rung in his head once again. He should grab every opportunity to get emotionally closer to her.

He let out a sigh. He wanted her to keep checking on him even after being discharged, but he was afraid to bother her. He had troubled her enough already. However, he still felt the urge to ask her for this last favor.

His mind was in turmoil.

"I cannot go back to work. I must have caused my boss a lot of trouble..." In the end, he couldn't bring himself to say that he would be lonely in his villa once he left the hospital and wanted her to accompany him.

Yun Xuan didn't know this and only responded to his words. "Wanwan is quite a caring boss. She made sure that your fame as a designer was not lost. Actually, she used some of your drafts for MAX Brand's spring designs and brought attention to your winter drafts. Since there is still some months before winter and she already made it sound so mysterious, everyone will be eager to see them. I know this might make the public have higher expectations but she is confident that you will not disappoint them.

Not only that, you are still MAX Brand's top designer and precious gem. No matter when you go back, you will still be the famous designer Lin. I admit I wouldn't have thought of doing this if I was still your boss.

Lin Ye smiled faintly. Although his eyes were still covered, one could imagine how brightly they would have beamed. "My little god sister does care about me."

A second later, her last statement sunk in and he chuckled. "Actually, I miss being your employee. Those were the best days of my life."

"Huh?"

Lin Ye realized that he had spoken too much and coughed. "YX Brand was the first fashion company I worked for and you were my first employer in the fashion industry. Of course I feel attached."

"Oh…" His first statement had sounded rather weird… If he didn't clarify, she would have thought too much about it.

Lin Ye sunk into thought. Sure enough, his heart would always race out of control whenever Yun Xuan was near him. The filter on his mouth ceased to function as well.

If this went on, he was afraid he wouldn't control his words anymore.

He knew that her heart had been broken twice. She may not welcome the idea of love any soon. If his words slipped up and gave him away, she might flee.

In the silence that followed, Yun Xuan realized how awkward it would be if she stayed too long in an unattached man's ward. She now understood why Wan Jia and Lin Lihua couldn't; such an environment was very likely to cause a misunderstanding.

"You should go to sleep early. I'm sorry but I can't stay here with you, my son won't sleep comfortably in my absence. I will let the nurses take care of you at night."

"Mmh." Lin Ye understood this, suddenly thinking that being discharged wasn't such a bad thing after all. At least in his villa, he could persuade her to stay.

For now, he could only suck it up. "Help me lie down."

"Eh? Eer..." Yun Xuan's mind filled with awkwardness.
