He realized that this excuse sounded fake too and scratched his head. "Well, at least not as much as you and my boss do. Can you help me out?"

Yun Xuan couldn't resist laughing. This was a joke, right? If not, it was impossible for Lin Ye to need her help over something like that.

"Okay. I will help you. But I need help with something in return." She said, resting her gaze on her son. That little devil.

"Deal." He agreed without asking what kind of help she needed. It made no difference. He would do anything for her.

"Then can you come right now? What I need help with is kind of urgent."

"Sure."

He took his car keys as soon as he said so.

It was already afternoon. Yun Xuan had waited for hours. Lin Ye was nowhere to be seen. His phone wasn't being answered either.

She continued waiting and didn't want to think too much into it.

However, at 5pm, Lin Ye had neither arrived not given her a call. All her messages went unanswered.

She dialled it again. If he didn't answer this time, she would find a way to contact the people close to him.

The call was recieved after a few rings this time.

"Lin Ye, I was so worried. Where are you?"

"Hello, are you related to Mr. Lin Ye? Could you please come to the hospital; Mr. Lin Ye was involved in an accident." A female voice spoke.

Yun Xuan stood up in shock. "What? What happened?"

"Please come to Hai Yuan Hospital as soon as possible."

The lady hung up after saying this.

Yun Xuan took her purse. "Please take care of little Feng. I have to rush somewhere urgently." She said to the nanny and rushed out.

"1208."

"Thank you." She said and literally charged into the elevator.

"Lin Ye, what happened?" She asked the doctor who was just leaving 1208.

"I'm sorry ma'am, you cannot go in right now."

"But why? Why then was I called here?"

"I am the one who answered the call. Someone had to know his whereabouts. We were unable to unlock his phone, so we could only wait for someone to try and contact him. You are the first one who did. Ma'am, let's talk in my office, okay?"

The doctor looked confused. "Actually I think you are the closest family there is. You could even be closer to him than his mother is. You should be the one to take care of him the most."

Yun Xuan blinked her eyes. "I do not understand. I'm not his family. I cannot be close to him, much less closer than his mother. Why would you think so?"

"You're not? But he..." Her contact number on his phone was saved as "Lovely wife". While being resuscicated, only one word left his lips. "Xuanxuan." When she saw Yun Xuan, she had assumed that this was the Xuanxuan he was calling because, the wallpaper of Lin Ye's phone was a picture of a woman who she had guessed was her. Besides, she had said at the reception just a moment ago that her name was Yun Xuan.

However, seeing that the lady who was most likely Lin Ye's Xuanxuan did not seem to be aware of this, she thought that it must be the patient's secret one-sided love. She did not wish to meddle herself in other people's affairs so she let it be.
