Henry Blanc's eyes could not hide his shock. His gaze slowly shifted towards her stomach, as though trying to make sure that she was reallt not hiding anything. "Are you telling the truth?"

"I am. If I was pregnant and hid it, am I not scared that my child would be hurt? What kind of mother would that make me?" Although she would not wish to bear the child of the man who used her and the one for whom her love had gradually turned into hatred, if she really had his baby, she would not hurt it. It would be innocent and her child too after all.

Henry Blanc saw that she was really being truthful. The doubt in his heart increased.

If she was not pregnant, why did he recieve that report? He had rushed over urgently and had his Lihua cancel their flight. If this was a prank...

"Amy, I have to go. I have to deal with this matter. Someone might be trying to break you out of here and I can guess who it is."

Amy Blanc was unfazed. Whoever it was, she would not go with them. She had realized that ever since accepting her faults, her brother loved her just like he did in the past. No, to be exact, he seemed to love her much more. He would kill anyone who hurt her. If her eyes had not been opened, wouldn't she keep thinking that he hated her and ended up ruining her own life then? Who would she blame then?

Although she was in such a dull and boring place and could not do things and go places as she pleased, she would look foward to seeing him every time. Every time she was scared that he would forget about her like other prisoners had been forgotten by their families, he would appear and prove her wrong with his eyes full of brotherly love.

It would be a lie to say that she had never been tempted to break out, but she would never succumb to that. If she did, she would lose her brother along with her conscience. She might even lose her life while on the run.

"Brother, can you come with Katy next time? I miss her very much." She said before Henry Blanc left.

The man turned to look at her and did not know what exactly to say to her. Of course she would miss her daughter. She was her mother.

However..."I haven't told her yet. Don't forget what a fearful child Katy actually is. I was afraid the news would traumatize her."

Amy Blanc dropped the subject. "You handled it well.

She looked down and played with her fingers. Why was it that her brother was a genius at everything while she was a little brainless? No, she was very brainless. She could even forget to consider such an important fact about her own daughter.

Katy Blanc was sure unlucky to have her for a mother. Once she left this place, she would do her best to be a better mother to her daughter.

When Henry Blanc parted with his younger sister, he went to the prison warden who had given him the call.

"Is my sister really pregnant? Have you ensured that there are no mistakes about this?"

The woman shivered slightly from Henry Blanc's glare. "Mr. Blanc, I am certain. All the new prisoners underwent a full body check up to make sure that they were all in good health. It was during this time that Miss Blanc was found out to be two months pregnant. The nurse asked me to tell you the news."

Henry Blanc finally found where there was a problem. Why did the woman rush to tell him the news before confirming the test in another hospital?

"Who are you working for?" He suddenly asked.

"Who am I working for? Well, the government of course." She shrugged.

Henry Blanc smiled coldly. "You expected me to tell you to transfer her immediately, right? You wanted to use the chance to break her out and pin the blame onto my family? Woman, you better tell me the truth right now or I will make you disappear."

"Mr. Blanc, you cannot threaten people."

Henry Blanc banged a fist against the wall, frightening the woman so much that she could pass out. "Or else what? I will be charged with a crime? Go ahead and try me."

Scared for her life, the woman stuttered. "I...it ...it was Mrs. Blanc!"

Henry Blanc's face went pale. He and Lin Lihua had not yet registered their marriage. The Mrs. Blanc in this situation could only be his mother.
