"Little Jia is asleep?" Lu Aotian asked.

"Yeah."

The little girl had been too excited. She played around happily and got so tired that she could no longer stay awake. After all, she was still sick.

She had jumped around in Wan Jia's and Lu Aotian's room and in the end; she fell asleep sprawled on the carpet.

When Wan Jia bent down to pick her up and put her on the bed, the little girl shook her little head in her sleepy daze. "Mommy, Little Jia is a big girl now. I'm even an elder sister. I don't need to be carried."

After saying that, she stood up struggling to rub her eyes open and made to leave the master bedroom, but went right back and climbed onto the bed. Even then she still needed help because she was too short.

With her eyelids tightly shut despite her efforts, she mumbled. "Mommy, can Little Jia sleep here just this once?"

She was too sleepy to go to her own room.

Wan Jia watched on with her heart melting into a mess. How could her baby be so cute?

It couldn't be any more obvious. She was afraid that if her mommy carried her, she would be too heavy and hurt her little sibling who was in mommy's stomach. How could Wan Jia not understand this? Though Little Jia was really not heavy at all.

Recalling her daughter's cute actions, she had the restrained urge to ask if Lu Aotian was that excited when he learned that his mother was expecting Lu Shaoting many years ago. Alas, he was probably too young then and couldn't remember. He was in fact too young to know what was happening.

"Master, the ingredients are ready." A servant reported.

"You are going to cook?" Wan Jia's eyes lit up. Finally something to do! She was initially bored to death.

However, just like his younger brother did, Lu Aotian shattered her momentary happiness. "I am going to cook. You will remain in our room obediently or play on your own. Remember that you must be careful."

Wan Jia understood and appreciated his intentions. He was trying to keep her safe. She tugged his sleeve lightly. "I promise to be careful. I will not touch anything sharp and will be very obedient. In fact, I only want to watch you cook and will not do anything on my own."

Lu Aotian did not relent. "No."

His tone left her no room for negotiation.

"Oh…"

Feeling that he might have been too hard on her, he rubbed her head. "Be good. I'll play with you later."

Lu Aotian felt stunned and giddy from the sudden kiss.

"I had the urge to eat something sweet." So I kissed your lips instead.

Even without the last part, he still understood her. He held her waist and kissed her more passionately, at the same time making sure to not press her against him too much. Even then he only let her off when she was out of breath.

Wan Jia glared at him. Who asked for a passionate kiss?

When the news was announced that evening, everyone was amazed by the Lu brothers. Their wives were both pregnant at the same time?
