After displaying her affection a little more, Wan Jia finally hung up. Kara and Su Ling who had left their phones in their hotel rooms were almost deafened by her.

"Are you done?" Kara was the first to express her displeasure. She missed her husband a lot and someone just had to shove PDA down her throat.

"Yup, yup. I'll put my phone aside now. Wait, help me take a photo. I'll send it to Aotian."

Kara shook her head but still helped her take one. "Poor President Lu." She mumbled.

Su Ling chuckled. She was also lighting a candle for him in her heart.

"What are you mumbling about?"

"Nothing. Here, done."

Wan Jia took back her phone. Satisfied with the outcome, she sent it over.

After hanging up the call with his wife, Lu Aotian went to bed. His phone chimed with a new message before he pulled the covers on himself.

He grabbed it from the night stand and took a look.

"Damn it." That naughty little vixen!

The next day, Little Jia was the last to wake up. It was already 10 am when she woke up. Rubbing her sleepy eyes, she dragged the stuffed bunny she had been hugging all night by one of its long ears and left her room to look for Lu Aotian.

"Daddy?" she slurred in her baby voice that was coarse from sleeping too much.

A maid rushed to her side. "Little Miss, you're awake. You must be hungry. What would you like to eat?"

"Where's daddy?" she ignored the maid's question and asked her own.

"Master is in his study. He is busy at the moment. How about eating something then finding him later?"

Because she was indeed hungry, Little Jia ate quickly and rushed to find Lu Aotian. Not able to reach the doorknob with her short frame, she knocked and called out, "Daddy!"

Lu Aotian looked at the door from his mountain of work. "You finally woke up, little sleepy head."

The little girl jumped into his arms as soon as he opened the door. "Daddy, why is mommy not home yet? Little Jia misses her a lot."

"Daddy misses her too. She will come tonight, okay?"

Little Jia was not pleased by this answer. Tonight was too far away. She wanted mommy to hug her right now. However, she didn't want to bother her if she was busy. "Then Daddy, can we go out?"

Lu Aotian tousled her hair lovingly. "Daddy still had a few things to do. I'll take you somewhere fun in the afternoon, okay?"

Little Jia pouted. "But Little Jia is bored right now. Can we go now Daddy?"

Lu Aotian was helpless. "Go and try on your new dresses. By the time you're done, I will be done too." He called over a nanny to help her try on those new clothes.

Little Jia looked at the nanny and frowned. "Then I want daddy to help me."

Lu Aotian massaged his temples. "Which side did you wake up on?" She was so grumpy that if she were a teenager, he would think she was on her period.

The nanny saw that the master was in a tight spot and tried to intervene. "Little Miss, you should understand that master is busy right now. I'll teach you a very fun game, how about that?"

She reached to take Little Jia's hand but the little girl pushed her away. "Don't touch me! I'm talking to my daddy and no one asked for your opinion. Stay out of it!"

The nanny remained silent.

Lu Aotian facepalmed. What kind of tone was that? Still, he was patient with his daughter. "Little girls shouldn't say such disrespectful things. Apologize to Nanny Xiang."

Little Jia didn't find anything wrong with what she had just said. "But Daddy, isn't what I said true?"

"You could have said it politely. That still counts as being disrespectful. Apologize while I'm still being friendly with you."

Little Jia felt wronged. "Daddy…" she looked at him with moist eyes.

Lu Aotian didn't fall for her pitiful look. "Since you refuse to acknowledge your mistake, you are grounded for four days. You will not be allowed to leave your room."

The nanny was stunned. Grounding a four year old girl? Wasn't the master going overboard? "Master, she's just a child…"

Lu Aotian shot her a warning look. It was because she was just a child that he was being so lenient.

"Daddy…"

"Four weeks."

Little Jia opened her mouth to protest, but Lu Aotian interrupted her. "You don't want to make it four months, do you? Not only that, all your toys will be confiscated."

Little Jia looked stunned. Four months without going out and without her toys? Her father must be really angry with her to say that.

Her tears fell freely and she dared not look at her father. "Sorry."

Lu Aotian's expression didn't change. "Lu Meili, you haven't realized your mistake yet, have you?"

Little Jia hurriedly looked at the nanny as she wiped her tears. "I shouldn't have been rude. I'm sorry."

The little girl peered at her father.

"You have realized your mistake now, right?"

"Yes daddy." She sniffled.

"Your parents dote on you, but it doesn't give you a right to take out your bad mood on people. No next time."

"Daddy Little Jia promises."

When she saw Lu Aotian's cold expression start to fade away, she looked up at him shyly. "Daddy, is Little Jia forgiven now?" a fresh bout of tears left her eyes.
