He couldn't possibly carry her to the guestroom; he would be overstepping his boundaries.

Lu Aotian asked the female servants to help Lin Lihua into the room opposite Henry Blanc's. In this Villa, there were some new clothes and pajamas that had been bought in case they spent the night here: the women were helped to change into them by servants or their husbands. They would be given hangover soup as soon as they woke up.

In the main bedroom, there was not much of activity going on. Wan Jia held onto her husband in her drunken state and fell asleep with her head on his chest.

In another room in the same villa, Xu Liaowen put his wife on the bed. Because he and Lu Shaoting had been friends for many years, he wanted to forget about what happened tonight. After all, he had never tried to ruin his marriage and even better, he was in love with someone else now.

However, it seemed like fate wasn't going to let him forget about the matter. When he touched his wife's face, she grabbed his hand and muttered a word softly in her daze.

"What did you say?" he didn't hear her clearly and listened in.

"Shaoting."

Xu Liaowen felt blood rush away from his face. His hands suddenly itched for violence. Why would his wife be thinking of another man when they were together?

"Go to sleep, okay?" he kissed her forehead.

"He likes me, right?"

Xu Liaowen was finally impatient. "Kara Yang! Not only are you a married woman, he has a girlfriend too. Are you seriously going to start falling in love with another woman's man?"

His words startled his wife so much that she became half sober. Although it was already close to midnight, she wanted to take a shower and sober up. Xu Liaowen let her do what she wanted and went on the balcony to take a breather.

Although he was just a lad in his late teens when he fell in love with her, it was true love. He loved her so much that if someone else were to come in between them, he would probably die of anguish.

He was still thinking of how angry he would be if his own best friend were to cause the breakup of his family when his waist was wrapped in a soft pair of cold arms. The little hands gave him a cool and sweet sensation. She had taken a warm bath but her hands were already cold.

"Why are you wearing so little?" he looked at her and reprimanded. It was cold at night and she shouldn't be out in only the pajamas she was wearing. She was even bare foot.

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

Xu Liaowen raised her chin and looked into her eyes. "If Shaoting still liked you, would you leave me for him?"

"What are you talking about? I only love you." She said and kissed his lips. She couldn't explain why she suddenly thought about Lu Shaoting but it wouldn't be nice if her husband misunderstood her.

At last, the misunderstanding in the Xu couple's room was solved. Trouble lay in another room. Henry Blanc couldn't sleep.

Once in the dark of night, he sneakily slipped into Lin Lihua's room to watch her sleep.

Actually, he didn't fall in love with her too long ago.

Lin Lihua had acted in many action, robbery and martial arts themed movies. He had watched many of them and when he became her fan, he even watched her girlish romance dramas.

On Lu Meili's fourth birthday, he saw her in person for the first time. Katy was obsessed with her and so was he. The little girl had him ask for an autograph and a photo from her idol. He couldn't ever forget their first meeting but he could understand her for not remembering. How famous was she and how many autographs did she sign every day? It was within expectations that she forgot all about him.

He didn't know when it started but every time he watched any of her romance dramas and television series, he would imagine himself as the male lead and picture their love story together. It was in fact only recently that he gave a name to what he had been feeling- love. All this while, it had only been one sided. He wondered if a time would ever come for his queen to like him or even fall in love with him.

The next morning, Lin Lihua opened her eyes.

She was surprised to see Henry Blanc kneeling by her bedside and holding her hand in his, asleep.

She wasn't repulsed by his touch but…wouldn't he catch a cold sleeping like this?

"Mr. Blanc, wake up." she shook him awake.

The man woke up and for the first time ever, his eyes didn't carry their usual charm. He looked sad.

"Lihua."

It was such an intimate way of addressing her. Strangely, she didn't feel annoyed and looked at him.

He said nothing. He only looked at her and left the room with his hand in his pocket. In there lay the ring he had been gifted by Lu Aotian. He was preparing to propose to her this morning but when she looked at him, he wondered what would happen if he was rejected. He wouldn't be able to ever face her again.

Just like that, a heartbroken Henry Blanc left the country, leaving behind a sad Lin Lihua who didn't know what she was sad about.
