"What were the two of you talking about?" Wan Jia clung onto Lu Aotian's arm and asked when the two of them came out.

"We were discussing how many more grandchildren your family wishes to have." Lu Aotian teased.

"Idiot. Do you always have to say such things?" She glared at him and said, "Our baby misses us a lot. We must go home now." She hugged Lin Lihua then, no one expected it but she hugged Xia Rou too.

To intensify their shock, she even said to them. "Bye Sis, Bye mother."

Xia Rou was stunned for a whole minute. Did Wan Jia just call her 'mother'?

Lin Lihua was not as shocked as the other two. She happily dragged Xia Rou along. "Let's go home. You should take your medicine on time."

In the car, Lu Aotian curiously asked Wan Jia what had caused her sudden change in attitude. Her answer left him speechless. "I initially hated her for having me with a psycho. But if my father is someone as kind as Uncle Lin, no, it's dad now. I'm happy to be a member of the Lin family." She was so cheerful that she couldn't be any happier.

"Aotian, Uncle Lin loves my sister very much. Do you think he will love me too?"

"He will."

"Why do you think so?"

Well, he just believed that. He had treated his foster daughter very well for all these years. Just based on this fact alone, he was sure that even if he did not love Wan Jia, he would not hate her either.

"I'm sad that I had a twin sister and lost her before we ever met." she said. She did not know that this was the same feeling Xia Rou once had. But she felt better now: She had lost Xia Lan and found Lin Lihua. She had lost Xia Jing and now finally, she had found Wan Jia. ( Avalorian's note: The kids' surnames were both Xia because she was still unmarried when she had them.)

In another car that was on its way to the Lin residence, Xia Rou was so happy that she almost triggered a heart attack. Lin Lihua had to use up all her effort to calm her down.

"Lihua, what did you say to her? She called me mother! My baby called me mother! It sounded so sweet coming from her ha ha ha ha I am so happy."

Lin Lihua smiled as she recalled their discussion.

She had asked Wan Jia. "You said that Little Jia is turning four in four months, and it would be her fist birthday that you spend together. Were you always busy on her first, second and third birthday?"

Wan Jia had said, "Little Jia and I met for the second time on her third birthday. It was very brief. The first time we met was when she was born."

Lin Lihua then used her wits to twist the situation. "Hey! Do you think this is a repetition of history? You left your daughter when she was young too. Just like Mom."

Wan Jia glared at her. "How can you say such a thing? You don't understand anything that happened in the past. I did not intentionally leave my baby. Do you know how much I love her? I started finding ways to get her back as soon as we got separated but you know how powerful Aotian is."

Lin Lihua nodded and pushed further. "I see. So when you reunited with her, what was her reaction?"

"She was happy to know that I'm her mother and made me promsie not to leave her again."

Lin Lihua was happy that Wan Jia had fallen right into her trap. "Now that is how a normal child should react. She didn't question your past, right? I guess she didn't blame you either. You know, she lived without her mother for three years after all."

"Sis, what are you driving at?"

"Nothing, really. But from what I know, mom has been trying to get you back ever since you were born. Although she was away from you for twenty three years, she tried to find you by all means. Do you know how scary General Yun is? Also...my dear Little sister, you had a family for 19 years. You have only lacked a family for four years and in the forth year, I found you. It's almost equal to the three years that Little Jia did not have a mother by her side.

You only think about how sad you were for four years. Do you know, the kind of sadness you felt for the three years when Little Jia was away from you, she felt if for half her life."

For the first time, Wan Jia had no way to refute Lin Lihua's words.

"Besides, she just explained everything to you. How hard do you think it is for a mother to tell her daughter about her dark past? Give her a chance, okay?"

"I don't want to." Wan Jia had said stubbornly.

Lin Lihua teased her cheeks. "What was that? Who was it that kept telling me how jealous she is of my relationship with my mom? It's fine if you don't want her. I'll continue enjoying her love on my own, eat her pastries and specialties while being doted on like a treasure."

"Hey! She's my mother too."

Lin Lihua couldn't help but smile when she recalled this conversation. My mission has been accomplished. Daddy will be very happy.
