When Xia Rou read the message, she instantly knew it was from Lu Aotian and he was talking about Wan Jia. She felt a sharp pain stab her heart. For Lu Aotian to actually ask her that, the situation must be really complicated.

When she started thinking clearly, Xia Rou had countless questions but she could not ask Lu Aotian as it would be too awkward. In the end, she asked him about Wan Jia's whereabouts.

Every other time, she would ask Lin Lihua and this was the first time she was communicating with Lu Aotian. The man simply told her that she had gone to hospital and did not mention any details, leaving the rest to her imagination.

Lu Aotian was near the hospital and he waited until Wan Jia and Lu Shaoting got into the car and drove off before he entered the hospital building. He had been to this hospital countless times and knew exactly where to go and which doctor to look for.

"President Lu." The genius doctor greeted him.

Lu Aotian greeted him back and said. "My brother was here with a young woman just now. Did they come to you?"

"Yes, President Lu. They were here for a paternity test."

Lu Aotian nodded since he knew that. "No matter what the actual result is, I want both a positive and a negative."

The doctor was stunned. What kind of request was this?

"Do you understand? No one is supposed to know the real result. You should also forget it yourself."

Lu Aotian's eyes made him swear to forget it as soon as the test was done.

"Then, President Lu, am I supposed to tell you the real result before I forget it?" he asked as his legs shook.

Lu Aotian shot him a glance. "Do you want me to repeat myself?"

Lu Aotian left the hospital and sat in his car for a while. The reason why he wanted a literally nullified result was because he was giving Xia Rou the chance to talk to Wan Jia. If she did it within one week, then it would be for the best. However, if she continued holding onto that belief about Wan Jia hating her and all that, then Lu Aotian would retrieve the real result on his own.

On his way home, he recieved a call from Xia Rou. "Can I meet her when she is not busy?"

"She should be free on Saturday."

It was decided. Lu Aotian was happy that she chose to tell her herself. Heaven knew how hard it had been for him to keep the truth tu himself while knowing how much she wanted to know.

Meanwhile, it had been quite a while since the last time Lu Shaoting and Su Ling went out together. They agreed to go shopping together on saturday.

He had never gone shopping with a girl before; it was Xu Liaowen's idea. He had told him that girls loved it when you bought them presents and went shopping with them.

He could confirm his best friend's words using Wan Jia and Little Jia. Those two were crazy shopping freaks. It was just heavenly luck on their part that Lu Aotian was extraordinarily wealthy.

On saturday morning, Lu Shaoting picked her up at her apartment.

"Where do you like to go?" he asked her.

"I don't have any particular preferences. Anywhere is fine." She replied.

"Then let's go to Southside CC."

"Southside CC?" she exclaimed.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

Problem? Of course there was a huge problem! That was a place for the wealthy. Every item was high end. Even if she wiped out all her lifetime savings, she may not be able to afford even the cheapest item.

"Let's go to a more...simple place, okay?"

Lu Shaoting understood her worry and that was where Xu Liaowen's teachings came in. He would just buy her anything she liked. "You don't have to worry about the prices. Not everything in Southside CC is expensive. There are many affordable goods with impressive discounts."

"Then let's go."

"Mmh, wait for me for a minute. I should report something to my brother."

"You don't see anything you like?" Lu Shaoting asked her. They had looked around for a while now but he did not hear her mention liking anything.

"Everything here is quite pretty but..." it must be too expensive! She was too scared to touch anything.

"Don't be shy, how will you know if you don't ask?" He pointed at a red dress ahead. "Try that one on. It must look pretty on you." Seeing that she was hesitating, he directly shoved her into the dressing room and asked a sales attendant to give her the dress.

When she came out, his heart raced wildly. It was just a change of clothes. Why did she change so much? The shy girl had now transformed into a seductive woman. He had not noticed before but the dress was quite showy. If she wore this kind of clothes for him...

"Lu Shaoting, it's beautiful."
