"What nonesense are you going on about?" How could she ever help him? She and Tyler were not related in any way, okay?

Tyler decided that since he had aleady spoken, he may as well tell her everything. "Your father is a criminal and you know that too, don't you? I know you hate him a lot so...are you willing to work with me? We will make sure he recieves the punishment he deserves."

Wan Jia frowned. "Are you sure you are talking to the right person? The only father I have is my father-in-law and he is the kindest man on earth."

Tyler thought she was acting. "I'm not talking about Lu Tongyan. You know who I mean. You can stop pretending. Both you and I know that I'm talking about your biological father, General Yun."

Wan Jia's fist reaction was "Since when do I have a biological father? Not even Aotian knows who my parents are."

Her second reaction was, "General Yun??!!! Which Yun? Yun Wei?!"

Tyler was shocked, at the same time disappointed about something. "How many General Yuns are there in the county?Why are you acting like you didn't know?" He saw how genuinely puzzled she looked. "Wait, you didn't know?"

Wan Jia suddenly laughed. "How silly. I almost got fooled by you. You know, someone played a similar prank on me not too long ago and almost got me in trouble."

"What are you talking about?"

She was talking about how Yun Jifeng lied to her about the woman called Zhang Li and framed her for killing the He family. He also did it using such coaxing talks. Did Tyler think she was that gullible?

Tyler did not understand what she was talking about but he persisted. "I know it's hard for you to agree to my deal but you can trust me. Even if you chose not to, I'll wait for you to agree." After saying that, he got up from his seat and left.

Wan Jia sat there shocked to the core. He didn't look like he was lying. Could he be telling the truth? Was that evil man her father? Wait, that wasn't right. When Yun Jifeng lied to her, she had also thought that he looked truthful.

After Tyler left, she finally had a third reaction. Why was he looking for her to cooperate? Could it be...

"Are you done talking?"

She did not know when Lu Aotian got to her side. To give them privacy, he had sat on his own and even had a short video conference. It was only when the conference was over that he felt they had been talking for too long and looked over. Wan Jia was all alone so he walked over to her.

"Yes, we are done. Let's go."

"You look pale. Did something happen?" he asked as he touched her forehead to check if she had a fever.

"Nothing happened. Let's go home, okay?"

Lu Aotian was about to remind her that it was still working hours when he saw her sad expression. In the end, he just took her to his car and drove her home. On the way, she closed her eyes for a nap. Lu Aotian knew that Tyler had probably told her something devastating but he did not probe further. She would tell him if she wanted to.

Wan Jia was not asleep. All she could think of was what Tyler had just said to her. He wanted her to help him with something against General Yun, and General Yun was her father? What kind of joke was that? It was not even funny. Was Tyler itching to be beaten up?

Before she knew it, they were already home. "Do you want to rest first?" Lu Aotian asked her.

"I'm okay. I want to ask you something."

"Sure. Ask me anything." Lu Aotian felt something bad was coming.

"You must promise to tell me the whole truth."

"Okay."

"Let's talk in the study room, okay?"

"Mmh."

They entered the study room one after another and closed the door, then she asked her question impatiently. "I remember when Yun Jifeng tricked me into going to the He family, they mentioned a woman- Zhang Li. Who is she?"

She was expecting to hear "Your mother" but he said something different. "Yun Jifeng's mother."

"Yun Jifeng's mother? But didn't he say that she..."

Lu Aotian answered before she completed her statement. "It was a lie. She wanted to pretend to be your mother and hurt you but I stopped her. That's why she never looked for you again."

"And Yun Jifeng was helping her?"

"Mmh."

"Why would he do that?"

"He hates you."

"Oh..." At least now she knew what happened to Zhang Li.

"That wasn't your main question, was it?" he knew her too well.

"It wasn't." She sighed and looked at him. "Lu Aotian, do you know who my father is?"

Lu Aotian looked at her and was about to dismiss her question when she spoke again. "You promised to tell me the truth."

"What kind of nonesense did Tyler tell you?" He knew he shouldn't have let them meet.

"Will you answer me?" She really hoped he was going to say something different, but he said what she deaded to hear.

"I didn't want to ever tell you but...we all know him as Yun Wei."
