Wan Jia was speechless.

"Let's go then. You can meet him after eating your crabs."

"You're really going with me?"

Lu Aotian threw back a question. "What do you think?" If a man thinks he can meet his wife alone, he should quit dreaming.

Wan Jia pinched his nose and laughed. "Can you not be so childish? You're jealous of this?" She hesistantly said, "It may be something personal...why don't I just go alone? You can stay close to us."

Wan Jia was considering the fact that Tyler had never even once contacted her. For him to personally call her, it might be something important and confidential. It's not that she wanted to hide anything from Lu Aotian but if someone wanted to keep a conversation private, she had to respect that.

Lu Aotian considered her words too. "Okay. If you feel threatened, you know what to do."

"Would Tyler hurt me?"

"I'm not saying he would, but I'm just being cautious. Your safety is my priority." he said seriously.

"Okay my love, no funny items."

"Am I that childish in your eyes?"

With that, he took her hand and walked with her out of the door. Wan Jia felt embarassed. "Is it really okay to hold hands like this in public?"

Lu Aotian shot a look at his secretaries who were staring at him wide eyed. "They will have to see us holding hands on our wedding day. What will they do then?"

Wan Jia smiled.

Behind them, the secretaries immediately logged into the company's chat group.

"You're here already. Did you wait too long?" Tyler asked her.

"I just arrived."

"Order what you like. It's my treat."

Wan Jia smiled politely. "You don't have to. I have already ordered and the tab's on my fiancé."

"Then you can at least add a drink? We are meeting for the first time after a very long time. Don't you want me to treat you to anything?"

"No, thank you. Only my man has the right to treat me. Why did you ask to see me? We are both busy people, we should not waste each other's time." Wan Jia was not good in having small talk and liked it when people were direct with whatever they wanted to say.

Tyler ordered a bottle of wine and drank it as he looked at her. The first thing he said was, "My darling can't know that I looked for you."

Wan Jia frowned at him. "So you're meeting your fiancées nemesis behind her back...or is it wife now?"

Tyler answered nonchalantly, "If we get married, we will invite you to our wedding."

Wan Jia almost chocked on her food. "Did you just say...IF?!"

Tyler just smiled as if what he had just said had nothing to do with him. "She wants you to be the maid of honor at her wedding or if you get married before her, she wants to be your maid of honor."

Wan Jia found what he was saying too shocking. If she didn't know better, she would think that he was drawing a line between him and Yun Xuan.

Whatever! That wasn't her business. "Is this why you called me?"

Tyler enjoyed her shocked expression. She looked like she had just seen a bomb explode. Well, then he was just about to drop a biochemical weapon. "Wan Jia, in this world, no matter how much two things look alike, the fake will never replace the original."

Wan Jia was annoyed. "Will your mouth hurt if you speak human?"

"I will not. You may...die of shock." He continued. "Similarly...no matter how much power a foster child holds, the biological child will always be more powerful."
