When Lu Aotian was done discussing with his mother-in-law, he did not go back to Lu Enterprises. He went to Elite Fashion World to pick Wan Jia up.

He found her drafting something which she hid away as soon as she saw him.

"What are you doing?" he asked curiously.

"Working." she smiled.

"Ling, get President Lu..." she turned to him awkwardly when she realized she hadn't asked him yet.

Lu Aotian smiled at her. "Water is fine. It would be more delicious if you poured it yourself."

Wan Jia shook her head speechlessly. Since when was water delicious? Can President Lu not be so childish? Although she scolded him internally, she still lovingly poured him a glass.

"Boss, if there's nothing else, I'll go check on the new productions." Su Ling said as she blushed. She wanted to leave the boss to enjoy her time with the president.

Lili also went along. "I'll check if there are any new express mails."

Before she could go, Wan Jia spoke. "Let Ling handle that. You can just grab a snack."

Although Wan Jia was smiling, Lili could tell that she did not want her to handle anything in the office. The only possibility was that...she had been discovered!

She wanted to beg her boss for forgiveness but who would do that in the presence of Lu Aotian? She was in fact happy to be shooed away.

When they left, Wan Jia closed the door and looked at Lu Aotian. "To what do I owe the honor of having President Lu visit my humble office?"

Lu Aotian grabbed her arm and pulled her to sit on his lap. "President Lu missed you a lot."

"You childish person." She glared at him. How long had it been before they last saw each other? They had eaten lunch together!

"Did you miss me?"

Wan Jia dramatically smelled his clothes. "What are you doing?" he asked.

She replied, "You smell like you are hiding something from me."

Lu Aotian raised an eyebrow speechlessly. Was there such a smell as that of someone hiding something?

"Ah! President Lu, it's past time to get off work already, and there is something I haven't completed. Will you wait for me?"

Lu Aotian trapped her in his arms. "You want to make your boss wait for you? Are you that tired of your job, Designer Wan?"

"President, it's for the sake of making Elite Fashion World better that I have to complete my work for the day before going home."

Lu Aotian smiled at her teasingly. "According to your contract, you should not overexert yourself in the name of working hard. Are you trying to breach your contract, Designer Wan?"

Wan Jia gave up. "Fine, you're the president. You drafted the contract. You win." She secured the important files in the safe and they left the office holding hands.

Her workmates supressed their urge to gossip until they left. Although no one knew anything about how they met and fell in love, they were convinced that this couple really suited each other.

In the car.

Wan Jia had not realized it before but indeed she was very tired. The CEO had given all the designers a task to create outfits using their own choice of themes.

After handing in all their drafts, only the best theme would be selected and produced. It was an old tradition in Elite Fashion World. All the designers would do their best to have their theme selected. The competition in such cases was one of the reasons why Elite Fashion World's designers were all very hardworking and talented.

It was Wan Jia's first time and she was not fully confident. However, if one looked at her theme, one had to bow down to her.

"If you're too tired, you should sleep first. I'll slow down to let you rest." Lu Aotian interrupted her train of thought.

"Pfft...My love, how old do you think I am?"

"I don't know either. Perhaps.... two months old?"

"Hey--!" How dare he call her a baby? He was being totally unfair. Humph! She would not show him her surprise for him.

"You're not going to fire Lili?" he finally asked.

"I really wish to believe that there's something else to this...you know what an innocent child she is?" Lu Aotian was frowning.

"Never mind! She's in the wrong after all. She didn't even provide any explanation or apologize, she is waiting to be called out for it as if it has nothing to do with her. She's just an assistant. I can get as many as I want."

Lu Aotian could feel the hurt behind the words. She was disappointed. How could she not feel sad? The assistant she had hoped for and trusted very much ended up being the traitor, while the one she had not trusted before was wrongly accused. Anyone would feel sad.

He used one hand to rub her head. "Don't worry, Su Ling will do a good job. With my younger brother sticking around her to court her, you can be rest assured that she wouldn't have the chance to do anything funny even if she wanted to."

That was a given fact. Although Lu Shaoting was not as sensitive and intelligent as his brother, he had a few tricks up his sleeves. That, and the fact that Su Ling didn't have any ill intentions to begin with.
