The girl noticed his gaze and blushed. "Vice President Lu?"

Lu Shaoting looked away awkwardly. He had wanted to ask her if they had met before but now it was already clear. What else was he to say? He fumbled with a racing heart and smiled at her. "Pretty, can we meet later for a private drink?"

Su Ling was so shocked that she turned to see if there was another person behind her that Lu Shaoting was talking to. Not only was there no other person, Lu Shaoting was looking right into her eyes. He had even called her...pretty? He was inviting her for a private drink? Was there something wrong with the way she had left the washroom?

Well, she could have an innocent drink with him...as long as they don't bump into each other again...she blushed.

When he saw her hesitation, he took out a card and stuffed it into her walm soft palm. "This is my private number. You can call me when you are free." Before she could say anything, he fled with a face red in embarassment.

Urgh...the moment just had to be interrupted again. This time, he did not accidentally 'hug' the wall, but his brother's chest instead. "Bro."

The man looked at him coldly and walked out, expecting Lu Shaoting to follow him. If Lu Aotian knew sorcery, Lu Shaoting would have detonated from his look.

"Bro, what's the matter? You look scary."

"My little brother is going headfirst into a pit of fire. It would be a surprise if I wasn't looking scary."

After the banquet, Su Ling battled with her inner thoughts for hours before deciding to call Lu Shaoting.

Only when the call was connected and she heard a sleepy voice on the other end did she realize how late it was. She apologized awkwardly, "I'm sorry, Vice President Lu, did I wake you up?"

"No," replied the man's hoarse sleepy voice. It was obvious he had been woken up. "Su Ling, you don't have to be so polite and distant with me. You can call me by my name."

The name felt so heavy coming out of her mouth but she still called, "Lu...Lu Shaoting." Even she herself did not know but she was blushing very hard after saying that name out loud.

"Mmh, that sounds better. You called because?"

Su Ling gulped and replied, "I...wanted to say that I'll be free tomorrow."

Lu Shaoting understood her instantly. His heart beat furiously. "Then, send me your adress. I'll send someone to pick you up."

"Okay. Vice...uhm...Lu Shaoting, it's very late now, you should go back to sleep."

"Okay." he said, without any intention of hanging up.

Su Ling was afraid her life would be over if she hung up on such a powerful man, so she waited silently. They could hear each other's breathing over the line.

Lu Shaoting was not sure why, but he was not at all annoyed that the woman had called him very late. Even such a simple thing as her breathing, he found that it pleased his ear. Unknowingly, he wanted to listen to it all night with that foolish smile on his face.

However, he was really sleepy so he just listened for a while. "I'll go to sleep now, you should sleep early too. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

He hung up, leaving her smiling like a little girl. Truly, it was such a good thing to stop being someone's minion. Look at her now. She was now prettier and even powerful men were starting to take notice of her.

Lu Shaoting, on the other hand, was having crazy thoughts which followed him right into his dream. He dreamt of when they fell in such an embarassing position in Elite Fashion World. In his dream, they had fallen in bed instead and..."Su Ling..."

He was bound to be very embarassed when he woke up.
