While his elder brother was secretly praising him for doing a good job by putting a listening device on Su Ling, Lu Shaoting was lying in bed trying to organize his thoughts.

He did not know if his mind was playing tricks on him but he felt that woman was quite familiar. Although she did not seem to recognize him, that could have been because she had focused all her attention on Lu Aotian.

When she rushed up to his brother to beg him during the day, he did not have enough time to think and could only act like a robot. According to her conversation with his brother, he gathered that the woman wanted to see Wan Jia but Lu Aotian did not want to let her because they had a past feud and that she did something against Wan Jia before. If he understood correctly, this woman stole something from Wan Jia.

Understanding only this part, Lu Shaoting signalled his brother with his eyes before secretly putting a tiny listening device he had carried along into the woman's bag that she had thrown aside. This was meant to help his brother follow her movements and know her intentions. On the other hand, it was also to help him find out about this woman. She gave him a very strong sense of familiarity, like they had met somewhere before.

He did not know why he cared so much but he felt it would hurt if he did not find out who she was and how they knew each other.

Lu Shaoting tossed and turned in bed before he finally drifted off to sleep when the sky was brightening up.

Lu Shaoting was not the only one having a sleepless night. Yun Xuan lay weakly in Tyler's embrace as he caressed her hair. She had wanted to ignore him for an entire week but she just loved him and had missed him so much that she couldn't wait to be in his arms.

Tonight, she was initially not sleeply, but after Tyler 'tortured' her a few times, she gradually became sleepy. She was just about to sleep when she felt something poking her bare waist.

Her beautiful eyes flew back awake as she pulled herself far away from him. Enough of this guy! How many times did he want to do it? She was already sore!

Tyler felt her leaving his arms and laughed. "We can just chat. You will fall asleep eventually."

Yun Xuan still kept enough distance for another person to sleep in between them. "What do you want to talk about?"

Tyler thought for a bit. "We have a lot to talk about, for example, the reason why you have been constantly in a bad mood lately."

Yun Xuan sighed. She did not want to talk about this at all.

Tyler noticed her uneasiness. "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, but you can always tell me if you want to open up."

Yun Xuan did not think anymore and told him everything. "I did not really win the award."

"What do you mean? It was on the fashion news."

Yun Xuan sighed in regret. "While it was on the news, that's because I blackmailed the judges."

The moon was not very bright, but Yun Xuan could still tell that Tyler was either holding his chin or he had one eyebrow raised.

"Someone helped me. I really didn't want to lose. "

Tyler caught up pretty fast. "Your second brother is the one who helped you, right?"

She nodded.

"Talking of which, why did the two of you fall out? You always evade the topic whenever I ask."

"Can we not talk about that?" she sniffled.

"Is it something to do with Yun Jifeng?" he probbed a little more.

"Tyler!" she roared.

So it was really about Yun Jifeng. As the faint light from the moon seeped in through the window curtains, the couple lay entangled in bed.

They were both thinking about the same person, but the reasons were different.

While one thought about how she was going to apologize to her former friend and if they could reconciele, the other was busy thinking about certain possibilities.

For example, could it be that Wan Jia knew something about Yun Jifeng and told Yun Xuan and that was why they fell out? If so, then perhaps Wan Jia was quite interesting...

The next day, Yun Xuan really forgot about her pride and made her way to Elite Fashion World.

"Excuse me, I'm here to see Wan Jia." she said to the receptionist.

"Miss, do you have an appointment?"

Yun Xuan frowned. She needed an appointment to see her friend? Okay, fine. They were no longer friends. But was it really necessary? She gritted her teeth. "I don't."

The receptionist was not too friendly with her. "I'm sorry miss, our Designer Wan is very busy lately. You need an appointment to see her."
