She instinctively wanted to avoid her, but the woman ran right up to her and tugged her sleeve.

It was worth mentioning that Su Ling was not wearing her usual bold and seductive type of clothes with heavy make up. She was wearing something more simple and easy on the eyes, and if Wan Jia was being honest, she looked better this way.

"What do you want?" Wan Jia snapped at her.

The woman did not fight back rudely as expected, she pleaded "Wan Jia, can we talk?"

Wan Jia felt spooked. "Is this your new method of scheming? I'm not interested. How did you even get in here to begin with?"

"I'm not here to do anything wrong. I'm only looking for you to talk. I promise."

Wan Jia pried off her hand that was holding her wrist. "Let go of me! I don't have anything to talk to you about."

"But I do." she pleaded.

"I don't care. Let go or I'll call security."

Not only did Su Ling not let go, she even went on her knees. "Wan Jia, we have worked together before. Even though I schemed against you, I apologize. Could you give me just ten, no, five minutes of your time?"

Wan Jia felt troubled as some employees started looking over. "Miss Su, you are embarassing me."

The woman became even more determined. "Then Wan Jia, let's find a place to talk, okay? If not, I'll kneel here until you agree to talk to me."

"They why don't you just say what you want?!" Wan Jia was having a headache.

"It's private."

Minutes later, in a coffee shop.

If not for the embarassing situation and this woman's incessant nagging, Wan Jia would not have agreed to talk to her.

"Talk." she was very impatient.

Unexpectedly, Su Ling did not turn into a rude freak even when they were alone. She just spoke politely, "Wan Jia, can you ever forgive me for what I did back then? Following Mo Zilian was the worst decision I ever made."

Wan Jia sneered. "Go straight to the point."

She looked down as if battling with herself before she asked in a very soft voice. "I know you need an assistant now that your workload must be getting heavier after going to Elite Fashion World. Could you...could you hire me?" Wan Jia almost spat out the coffee she was drinking. Hire her, as an assistant?

"Miss Su, did you drink too much?"

"No, I'm serious. Although I don't have a real designing talent, I can handle miscelleanous quite well. That's what I've been doing in the past."

Wan Jia really wanted to send this woman to hell. "Then why did you not continue doing that wherever you were doing it?"

"My boss retired a month ago." she did not wait for Wan Jia to talk before she continued, "Actually, before I started following Mo Zilian, I was a designer's assistant. I saved up quite some money but then I met her again. We were schoolmates when we were younger so I trusted her and followed her advice. But then, I only ended up destroying my perfect life. I..."

"I don't wish to hear your perfect lies." she was just about to say she already decided on an assistant when she recieved a new text message.

Handsome Lu :[Hire her.]

Wan Jia looked around the coffee shop. Strange. How did Lu Aotian know that she was talking to someone, and that that person wanted a job? Also, was he seriously asking her to hire Su Ling? Was she mistaken?

As if he knew that she would be doubtful, he specified.

Handsome Lu: [Hire Su Ling as your assistant.]

Wan Jia did not understand what had gotten into her man, but she trusted him so she told her, "Come to work tomorrow."

The woman seemed in disbelief. "R-really?"

Wan Jia was now annoyed. "You don't want to?"

"I want! I want! I just didn't believe that you would really...I'll report to work very early tomorrow. You can count on me to do a very good job."

"Why did you ask me to hire her? Wait, how did you even know I was talking to her?"

Wan Jia rained questions on Lu Aotian as soon as he got home.

Lu Aotian swept her off the floor like a toy and kissed her lips as he complained. "Other women massage their men and offer them food as soon as they get home."

"And you just let her waltz in?"

"I wanted to know what exactly she was up to. Shaoting put a listening device on her while she was busy begging me to let her talk to you." he spoke as if he was very proud of his younger brother. Lu Shaoting had even very effectively given her a pass and told her where to find Wan Jia.
