"I got her to go out with me twice, but I can't try to get a DNA sample for now lest she gets suspiscious.."
"Twice!" the woman on the other end was pleasantly surprised. The progress was even faster than she imagined. Who cared about DNA? That girl was obviously her daughter, okay? Even any random outsider would be able to tell.

The woman suddenly sounded emotional. "How is she? Is she doing well? She must have undergone so much struggle on her own, right?" Lin Lihua could hear the sniffles.
"Mommy, she's alright. She found a good husband. He pampers her so much that he wouldn't let her go out with me without trippling the already tight security measures."
"But I failed as a mother. I did not protect any of my daughters."
"It's not too late." Lin Lihua consoled.
"What if she hates me? What if she thinks I left her deliberately?"
"Mom, you think too much. You're definitely the best, kindest person on earth. How can anyone even hate you?"
"Sigh, Lihua, I'll still love you as much as I do now even when she comes back." She was worried that her daughter would feel unloved if she fawned too much on Wan Jia. Actually, Lin Lihua was adopted.
When that evil man made her lose both of her babies, she had suffered quite a huge blow. To console her broken heart, she adopted Lin Lihua from the orphanage when she got married.

The woman on the other end was sitting in front of the mirror. Despite her age and poor health, she was still very beautiful with flawless skin and very clear eyes.
Looking at a picture that had been sent over by Lin Lihua, Xia Rou was in tears. "You look so beautiful. My baby, when will I get you back?"

A middle aged woman stood trembling in front of General Yun, who had an icy expression on his face.

The woman sneered. This man was too evil. She wondered why he had prefered girls to boys in the past. Turned out he only wanted to use his daughters in his revenge plans. No wonder he had uncountable mistresses.
Who cares about Jifeng anyway? She had been contacting him, hoping he would protect his sister but that boy grew up to become just like his father.
Sigh, all she ever wanted was power and fame. Who told her to like such a man? In the end, not only did she not get any power or fame from that bastard Yun, her daughter was the one to pay the price for her wrong choices.
Hmph! It was a good thing that Xia Rou, that woman, also had a daughter on the same day as her.
