She did not need a fortune teller to tell her...that she was dead!
She unconciously held Little Jia tightly with shaky hands.
"Mommy?" the little girl wondered why her mommy was suddenly acting strange. She struggled out of her embrace and looked at her worriedly with her big eyes. "Mommy, are you okay? Are you sick? Should we send you to hospital?"
"Aotian," Lu Tongyan called out. Of course Lu Aotian understood why his father came out. He wanted to know who his woman was.
It was exactly for this reason that he wanted to bring Wan Jia with him.
Wan Jia was just joking about going to get Little Jia. Perhaps the only person she feared on earth, apart from General Yun, was Lu Tongyan. However, if the father-in-law and daughter-in-law were going to chase each other for past conflicts, they had better start soon so that they would be done before Little Jia grows old enough to understand adults' battles.
Under Lu Tongyan's intense gaze, Wan Jia nervously stood up.
Lu Tongyan was visibly shocked upon taking a good look at her.
He turned to his son. "You... you... you got together with Yun Xuan?"
His first impression was that after Wan Jia left him, he decided to look for his intended fiancée.
"Father, you know her. That's Wanwan."
The man's expression shattered. Wanwan...that should be Wan Jia, that little deceitful traitor who dumped his son.
"Father," Wan Jia greteed nervously since her identity had already been exposed.
"You...! How can you casually call me 'father'? I have not acknowledged you!" he hollered.
"Aotian, what is this woman doing here?"
Both Lu Aotian and Wan Jia seemed to have expected this reaction. "Father, let's go in and talk." Lu Aotian coaxed his father.

"Who is going in to talk? You and I are going in to talk. This woman is not allowed anywhere near here. Scram!" he was becoming angrier by the second.
"Could you give me some face? She's my fia..."
He did not even get to complete his statement. "She's your what? Are you going to say the both of you are engaged? Aotian, there are so many women in the world. Why do you have to take back a vixen who left you?"
Lu Aotian pulled the sad Wan Jia into his arms. Lu Tongyan was even more incensed when he saw his son's protective gesture. He was even protecting her? Was his son utterly dump or had he not learned his lesson?
"If only it were Yun Xuan..." he mumbled.
Wait, he did not want Yun Xuan either. That woman had despised his son and found another woman to pretend to be her. She was the reason all this fiasco was happenong in first place.
Initially, Lu Tongyan had liked Wan Jia from the first moment he saw her. Even when Lu Aotian told him the truth that she was not Yun Xuan, he still liked her for her kind nature.
It was not until his 'kind' daughter-in-law turned out worse than he imagined that he began to hate her.
It was not funny to find his dear only son in such a terrible state. Well, even though he loved his sons equally, it was still an unchangeable fact that Lu Aotian was his only biological son.
He could still feel his heart ache when he recalled that night when he rushed to hospital and found his son, injured beyond recognition and the only thing he kept murmuring was "Wanwan, don't go."
That coming from a man who never told anyone of his real pain was too heartbreaking for him to bear.

As if that woman had not upset his son enough, she even had the nerve to hide her pregnancy. His sons child and his granddaughter!
He couldn't help but sneer in disgust when he saw his forgetful son siding with her.
Wan Jia decided to speak up. "Father, I was wrong. I..."
"Who did you just call 'father'? Who is your father?" he wouldn't even listen to her.
"Wuuu.." Right at that moment, the trio remembered that they had forgotten something they shouldn't have. Little Jia was still with them!
"Grandpa is scary! Grandpa is scary, Daddy, I'm scared...boohoo..." the little girl suddenly burst into tears.
Lu Tongyan was toungue tied.
Wan Jia remained silent.
Lu Aotian was helpless.
"Daddy, daddy! Why is grandpa shouting at Mommy? Does grandpa hate Mommy very much? Wuuu..." she cried heartbreakingly as she hid behind her father as if seeking protection.
Lu Tongyan could not let his granddaughter hate him! This little girl was heaven's biggest blessing to him. He loved her more than he loved his own sons. "Little Jia, come to grandpa. Grandpa is not scary, okay?"
The little girl clutched her father's clothes even more tightly. "Grandpa is scary! Grandpa hates my Mommy! So grandpa hates me too!" she wailed.
"Princess, go to your second uncle, okay?" Lu Aotian intervened.
Yet the little girl became even more upset. "No! If I leave my Mommy alone, who will protect her when bad Grandpa bullies her? Not going, not going, not going, ..."
"Bad Grandpa..." Lu Tongyan felt his bones weaken. Had he been too extreme? His granddaughter was now afraid of him. What had he done?
As for a certain crying baby who was about to flood the earth with her tears, she laughed inwardly. 'Pfft...since the two of you hate each other, how about I help you? I helped Mommy and Daddy become friends. Do you think this is a difficult task?'
