"Really? Really?" Wan Jia was instantly excited. Her baby way too kind. She almost cried tears of joy as she hugged her little body tightly.

"Then let me go play with it a little." she said and ran off.

Lu Aotian sighed in relief. Not only had he placated the little princess, even the wife was exceptionally happy. Next time, however, he would get identical presents to avoid starting a war.

Little Jia looked up at her father nervously, as if she had something to say but was afraid to say it. He chuckled, took her in his arms and kissed her soft little cheek. "What is it?"

The tiny thing covered her face in her little hands in shyness before speaking "Daddy, will Mommy be taken away from us one day?"

His face suddenly froze. Will mommy be taken away from us? What did she mean?

"No," he answered. Little Jia sighed in relief before kissing her father's cheek and disappearing like a puff of wind.

Lu Aotian was lost in thought. Did the little girl mean someone wanted to take Wan Jia away? That could only mean one thing to him: a romantic rival. He was right. Little Jia did indeed accidentally walk into Wan Jia's room while she was having a video chat with someone. Although she couldn't understand anything as she had only heard a very tiny bit, the other man had said he loved her. Why would a strange uncle say he loved her mommy?

She was too young to understand love between couples but she knew that her mother stayed with her because she loved her. Didn't that mean that if her mother loved that strange uncle, then she would go stay with him? She was growing closer and closer to her mother. If someone took her away, she would bite him to death even with her tiny milk teeth.

Lu Aotian kept thinking about it. Was Wan Jia seeing another man? Just the thought of it made him want to destroy the planet's male population.

A few days had passed, Tyler had found the whereabouts of the man from the civil affairs bureau. He had been in the country just a day ago and suddenly went back to the neighbouring country where he had been hiding out for the past three years.

It seemed someone had suddenly tipped him off. Tyler couldn't help but feel extremely cautious. It was just a little error. Why was the man running away? Was Yun Xuan's life in danger?

At night. Tyler had just got back home when he saw a freshly bathed Yun Xuan busy in the kitchen. The girl was barefoot, wearing a big tshirt of his and her hair was tied up in a messy bun. It was a sight that made one thirsty.

"Hey," he greeted her as he hugged her from behind. He immediately pulled away as he felt a certain mischevious part of his body quickly react. This girl seemed to really rile him up too easily.

"You're back." she smiled. " I wanted to stay over tonight and I liked your tshirt so I casually wore it. Sorry for not asking....about both."

"You're my fiancée. Everything I have is yours." he gazed at the vague outline of her body through the tshirt "Well....except the tshirt."

Yun Xuan almost apologized then she noticed his gaze. She covered her chest like an innocent girl who had just been flirted with "You pervert! Just admit you want me to take it off." She blurted out without thinking. She almost bit off her own tongue. How embarassing. How could she say such a thing?

Tyler laughed. "Well, I really want you to..."

She punched his chest playfully. "Get lost. Go take a shower. Dinner will be ready soon."

"So how's the investigation going?" she asked as they ate.

"That man is quite cunning. Someone told him that he was being searched so he disappeared."

"We really should get help from Lu Aotian." She suggested.

He looked annoyed. "No. I told you I can handle this on my own. Do I need another man to help me settle my marital issues?"

"The thing is, Lu Aotian is very capable and can pull him out in..."

"And I'm not capable? Are you saying that he is more capable than me?" He frowned.

"I wasn't comparing you to him, I was just saying that he... forget it. It's just that this whole thing seemed like a prank at first. Who knew it would involve so many secrets?"

"Which gets me thinking, what would anyone gain from playing such a prank on you?" It made no sense at all.

Yun Xuan thought about it then declared between gritted teeth. "Someone who doesn't want my substitute to get together with Lu Aotian. The person wants to use me because I don't have feelings for him and at the same time my relationship with her will eventually break apart." She thought about Mo Zilian. That woman was Lu Aotian's traitor ex girlfriend and from Wan Jia's story, she still had feelings for him and was trying to sabotage her out of hatred. However, how could she have known that long ago about both Wan Jia and Yun Xuan? It didn't seem possible at all. She ruled out the possibility.

Tyler looked at her and his mind trailed off for a while.

Yun Xuan noticed that he looked strange and felt goosebumps. "What is it?"

He looked at her with a smirk. "Either that, or someone who actually wants you and Lu Aotian to be married." He became even more serious as he secretly clenched his fist. " Someone like... your father."
