Yun Xuan glanced at the man who appeared deep in thought. She decided it wouldn't hurt to ask. "Why did you investigate the civil affairs bureau?"

He snapped out of his thoughts and answered "I simply thought about it carefully. You looked surprised about being married as well, and since investigating Lu Aotian couldn't work out, I figured I may as well check places he may have been to and if you the two of you were to get married then that's one place with high probability of him visiting."

Tyler rambled on his analysis and Yun Xuan thought it made perfect sense. Maybe she was being too sensitive after recieving that bombshell from her brother. Thinking about it, she really wanted to know the truth before her head burst.

"So what's up with that man? You're going to find him and get information from his side?"

"Logically that's what I need to do."

"Why don't we ask Lu Aotian? He might help." she shyly siggested.

He pulled her onto his lap. "That won't be necessary. The fewer people know about this the better. We don't want to raise unnecessary alarm. Besides, I don't need to ask another man for help regarding my issues with my wife."

Yun Xuan nodded and sent Wan Jia a text. [It's all good. Tyler dealt with it. Don't bother Lu Aotian about it.]

Wan Jia sent over an [Ok] but made her promise to explain everything later.

"So, now what's your next step?" she curiously asked.

"I'll look for that man as I handle my next mission."

"Next mission? Already! You haven't even stayed for three days!" she complained.

"I'm sorry darling, that's the nature of my job. But don't worry, I won't be going anywhere for more than a few hours this time and besides, if you get bored you can always call Ruolin over."

She frowned when he mentioned the name she least expected to hear.

Tyler laughed. "Don't worry. Ruolin can be a little naughty at times but she's actually quite friendly. The two of you are so much alike. You'll get along quite well."

"Then I'll give it a try."

"Good girl." he patted her head. Then they fell silent for a while.

"You never gave me an answer." he broke the silence.

"To what question?"

"To being with me." he smiled. It would be easier if they simply got married but since it involved investigation and he guessed it might take a while, it would be awkward if they didn't define their relationship.

"Well...you can take that as a yes." she said.

He pinched her chin playfully. "so, since we were already ready to get married, can we be counted as an engaged couple?"

Well, that was the only logical relationship they could have and she nodded. Then they chatted about the details like meeting her family and his, how many kids they would have in future, their names, who they would look like....Tyler suddenly remembered something.

"So why exactly did you want to change your appearance?" he asked.

She dropped the answer she had told her parents "I just wanted the look. Have you seen my previous photos? I definitely look way more beautiful than before." However, she noticed Tyler was still staring at her curiously. Urgh, it was better to marry the observant Lu Aotian from Wanwan's story than this guy. Could anything ever escape him? Not even a molecule of air? Well, that molecule of air wouldn't escape Lu Aotian either.

She sighed and was about to tell him the long version when he cut her off. "You don't really have to tell me. I just casually asked."

"No, I don't mind telling you. Oh, you may need popcorn, thank me later."

She thought about it and narrated.

"The thing is, I overheard him talking to my mum about my marriage, they felt that Qin Zhifan wasn't good enough for me and his character was questionable, that kind of thing. So they talked about setting me up for marriage with someone from the Lu family, and that just happened to be Lu Aotian."

She sounded scared when she mentioned Lu Aotian. "Why would I marry an ice statue anyway? I knew talking my dad out of it would never work in a billion years so I may as well take matters into my own hands. Well, that wasn't the main reason, there are others but that was just the trigger.

At first I only wanted to find someone who looked like me or was ready to go under the knife to look like me."

Then one day he showed me a photo of my substitute. Just one look and I fell in love with her beauty. She indeed really needed money but the more I wanted to find her, the more I felt it would be such a waste if such beauty was lost to look like my original face.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciated my fairly beautiful face back then. But if I was considered fairly beautiful, then my substitute would be considered beautiful enough to massacre nations.

That's how I decided that I wanted to look like her instead. In fact it would be even easier that way since my parents were already used to my face. A completely new face would be much harder to see through."
