And without dismissing those thoughts from his mind, he looked at Chen Lihua uneasily. But the latter was still looking at the old man in shock.

Chen Lihua has never encountered this type of situation before, so she had to take a few more seconds to recover from the mind blowing news.

After recovering from her shock, she tried very hard to still put on a smile on her face as he replied the old man, "What a straightforward man you are, and i admire that attribute of yours".

The old man smiled pleasantly as he really liked the praises Chen Lihua rendered to him.

Seeing him smile, Chen Lihua scoffed inwards as she said to herself, 'you are doing well by smiling old ma, as that is exactly what i want, so you won't have any reason to be offended when i give you the breaking news'.

So she continued with a polite smile on her face, "But am so sorry to shock right now, because AM MARRIED".

The old man was still smiling from ear to ear untill he heard the breaking the news. And as he felt that he didn't hear very well, so he stopped smiling and asked with full concentration, "Ehn?".

"Am married". Chen Lihua repeated again before asking, "it has been a news on the internet, eventhough it didn't cause too much commotion. I never knew you didn't know about it, and for that, am sorry".

The pair of grandfather and grandson pair were in shock on this unexpected shocking news, and so they looked at themselves.

But the Chief Surgeon was an exception, because he became relaxed when Chen Lihua broke the news to them. And seeing the shock written on their faces, he sneered as he said to himself, 'Are you shoocked?, what were you expecting?, That a young, beautifull and intelligent lady like Chen Lihua with a good family background would still be available?, What a very big joke'.

After having saying all these to himself, he wished that those two would quickly leave his office as he didn't know the trouble they would soon cause.

It took some minutes for those pair to digest the sudden news and come back to their senses.

With a calm expression on his face due to his experience in handling unexpected and shocking news, he asked Chen Lihua when she got married,, and she answered him by saying that she got her marriage certificate about a month ago, but her wedding would be comming soon.

"When is your wedding?". The old man calmed himself and asked.

Chen Lihua smiled as she answered him, "Am sorry, the date hasn't been finalized".

The old man let out a breath after coming to a conclusion. "Since you are yet to hold a wedding, then do well to send me an invitation".

Chen Lihua smiled in agreement.

"Who is your husband?". The young man asked suddenly as he couldn't believe that the lady he was eyeing was already married and about to hold her wedding.

All eyes were on him when that question left his mouth, but he couldn't be bothered with them as his only interest now, was hearing Chen Lihua's answer. Because he wanted to know if her supposed husband truly deserved her.

Chen Lihua then focused her gaze on the serious looking man. The putting on a professiona smile, she said, "Am sorry I can't reavel that untill we make an announcement together".

This answer actually got the old man curious, and so he moved his gaze from his grandson to Chen Lihua and started questioning her.

But no matter how he put the question, Chen Lihua was determined not to reveal anything to him.

Having given up, the old man stared at Chen Lihua while thinking to himself, 'This child is really tough'.

"Alright. I alteady have my ways to investigate, but i choose to respect your decision".

Chen Lihua smile politely and said."Thank you", as she didn't have the strength to face any trouble if she actuall caused one.

Everyone in the office became satisfied that the conversation has come to an end, but except for Chairman Long's grandson who didn't have a happy expression on his face as his question wasn't answered. And then his grandfather decided to cut short the only road left for him to find out the truth, and that was to investigate.

But not wanting to spoil the atmosphere and be scolded by his grandfather later, he quickly put on a smile on his face. Turning to Chen Lihua, he smiled as if he wasn't angry few seconds ago and said, "Congratulations to you".

"Thank you". Chen Lihua said before responding to the old man and the Chief Surgeon who congratulated her as well.

While leaving, the young man gave her a weird stare before finally walking away with his grandfather.

'What's wrong with this one?'. Chen Lihua asked herself.

When those pair finally left, the chief Surgeon sighed in relief before apologising to Chen Lihua. And Chen Lihua accepted the apology without blaming him.

When she got home that day, she told Liu Longwei on what transpired at the hospital that day.

"He tried to matchmake my woman, it seems like it's time to announce our wedding and put a ring on that finger". Liu Longwei said furiously.

He couldn't help but get angry at the thought of someone else, someone from the opposite sex with his wife apart from him. He decided to get back at the old man since he was familiar with the man.

He planned to flaunt Chen Lihua right in his face since he has come to know that he quite liked his wife. So he had to teach him a lesson with that example so he would be restless.

Without knowing his thoughts, Chen Lihua rolled her eyes at him because of what he said.

After this little episode, they ate and freshened up before leaving for the LIU RESIDENCE.
