"Hua'er hua'er come quickly, come and see something important that will sweep you off your feet". Chen Lihua's mother, Chen Ju enters the house while calling Chen Lihua.

She enters the living room while giving her bag to the Butler. Butler Li drops her bag on the table in the living room while waiting for further instructions.

"Butler Li send someone to call Lihua, tell her it's urgent". Madam Chen seats on the sofa while aunt Zin the housekeeper gets a glass of water for her from the water dispenser in the dining room. Madam Chen drinks half of the water and keeps the glass cup on the table.

Butler Li sees a young maid walking in from outside and relays the message to call the young miss Chen.

The maid goes upstairs and knocks on Chen Lihua's door gently. Chen Lihuas who was working with her laptop responded, "who's there?"

The maid replied "young Miss, Madam Chen is back and request your presence, she says it is urgent".

Chen Lihua sighs and goes to meet her mother thinking about what has caught her mother's interest this time around.

On seeing Lihua, madam Chen drags her hand and makes her sit on the left side of the sofa close to her.

She hands over a file to her saying, "Hua'er I have been waiting for you since taking a look at this file".

Lihua opens the file and sees a picture of a handsome young man in a black tuxedo, he had a slight smile on his face while holding a wine glass, he seems to be talking to another older man.

"Lady Chen, what is this?" Lihua points to the file on her lap.

"Good girl, I was waiting for you to ask me". Madam Chen smiles and points at the file on Lihua's lap. "He is Liu Longwei, the CEO of the Liu Group, he's 30 years old this year and he will officially be your husband tomorrow morning being Friday at exactly 12 pm, He's the specimen I... "

"Lady Chen!" Lihua cuts off madam Chen's speech, standing up, she asks "What on this planet earth do you think you're doing, are you trying to matchmake me now?"

"Ah!" Madam Chen exclaims sadly saying "Sweetheart you know you're my only child, I was only trying to make a good choice for you. You know your father didn't treat me well when he was alive, so I was trying to get the best husband for you".

Lihua sighs and seats back down dropping the file on the table, she hugs her mother's left arm and leans on her shoulder affectionately, and says "Mum I know, how could I forget how he treated you. I trust your judgment that you will choose the best suitor in the world for me since you've been through a lot in the past, and I believe you're experienced".

Lihua smiles and lifts her head looking at her mother. "And you taught me that experience is the best teacher"

"Yes!" Madam Chen exclaims raising her right arm like '(the Koreans when they are supporting somebody, they raise their arms saying fighting)'. "That's my daughter, I know you'll listen to me. Once you get married, the entire Chen company will be merged with the Liu Group secretly because I don't want the public to know about it for now until my retirement. The board of directors has approved of it since you won't be inheriting the company and also with your marriage to Liu Longwei, the company is in safe hands and will be managed properly".

"So, I will remain the CEO of Chen group on the surface till my retirement while Liu Longwei manages everything behind closed doors".

Chen Lihua leans away from her mother and taps her hands. "Okay lady Chen I've heard you, so tell me how you came to know of Liu Longwei and how you got him to agree with all these". Chen Lihua says pointing back at the file.

Madam Chen pats her daughter's head with a mysterious smile on her face. "Actually, Longwei." Chen Lihua widens her eyes at the mention of Longwei.

Chen Lihua: Since when did Lady Chen start calling Liu Longwei so affectionately.

Madam Chen continues with her gist oblivious to her daughter's facial expression. "is the Son to one of my friends Liu Biyu I met a year ago. About a month ago, she chatted me up complaining about her son still being single at 30 and asked me if you were dating and of course, I said no. She then decided on you to be her daughter-in-law".

"But lady Chen, did Liu Longwei agree to all of these?" Liuwei ask still confused.

"Of course he did, he had a deal with his mother to marry anybody she introduces to him if he doesn't marry before he clocks 30. So, his mother Liu Bilu talked about you with him 2 weeks ago and then, he saw two of your pictures this evening because I had dinner with him and Biyu. After the dinner and a little discussion about you and the company, he decided to collect the marriage certificate tomorrow because he's going on a business trip for a month"

Lihua tugs at her mother's hand frowning "Lady Chen you would have at least allowed me to tag along, by the way, am the one marrying him and I needed to see him physically and access him".

Madam Chen chuckled and replied, "The marriage and business deal hasn't been finalized at that time, what were you supposed to be meeting him for?".

Pinching Lihua's cheeks with her two hands, she smiles "Hua'er don't worry, I chose the best husband and son-in-law for us. And you don't need to panic at all, I have already accessed him on your behalf, after all, you've seen his picture and will also see him tomorrow. You can just take the file with you to your room and read his biography".

Chen Lihua is left speechless. 'what does lady Chen mean by pinching my cheeks?.

Lihua removes her mother's hands from her cheeks while replying "Lady Chen why do I feel like you admire him more than you admire me?. You reed to see your face, you have been smiling since you started talking about this marriage".

"Of course not, how can I abandon my Lily ". (Lily is Lihua's nickname given to her by her late maternal grandmother). Madam Chen denies the allegation completely forgetting to hide the obvious smile on her face.

Chen Lihua is left speechless again on seeing the smile on her mother's face. 'Is this woman joking with me, how can she be lying so blatantly right in my face, she didn't even try to hide her smile'. Shaking her head, she had no choice but to agree with her mother. "Lady Chen, I believe you".

Madam Chen looks at her wristwatch seeing that the time is 77:30 pm she exclaims. "Ah! Hua'er you can go ahead and have your dinner without me, I have had my dinner already. I still have to chat with my friends on our group chat, and it's late already. So, goodnight".

Madam Chen pecks Lihua's forehead. While smiling, she stands up and leaves for her room.
