Ray's soul went through different dimensions in search of a new body that will be compatible with his soul. The moment his soul left earth, a shining light followed behind him like a guide until he found a suitable dimension.

This dimension was filled with something called spiritual energy. His soul continued flying and went through the first plane, then it entered the second plane, and headed to a deserted mountain where no life could be seen. A motionless body laid on the ground without any reactions, it was obvious the person was dead.

His soul immediately dashed straight into the body and began the process of merging with it. Just before he could complete the merging process, the light which had been following him all this while went straight into the body also and began merging with it.

The moment the light started merging with the body, the spiritual energy which was around where the body was immediately going chaotic. The energy got stronger and the body greedily absorbed the spiritual energy around

The pale skin and face of the body slowly began to regain some color while it was absorbing the spiritual energy around the place. The spiritual energy was completely absorbed before the mountain regained its previous calm and lifeless state. But this time, faint sounds as if breathing could be heard coming from the motionless body.

Although the merging process was almost complete, Ray had still not been able to take control of his new body, because the soul of the previous owner refused to leave the body. Yes, the dead guy simply didn't want to go. Ray promised to help him get revenge on the one who killed him.

The previous owner of the body died an unjust death, he caught the Seer making contact with the demons from the underworld and wanted to report this to the king. Unfortunately, the Seer was a step ahead of him and accused him of betraying the kingdom to gain power so he can usurp the throne. He was immediately sentenced to death by the king and his body was sent to this desolate mountain where he will never rest in peace.

Ray finally heaved a sigh of relief after the soul agreed to leave, it would be a shame that after managing to find a suitable body, he would have been unable to occupy it. This was his second chance at life, and he didn't want it to end so quickly, because if he was unable to gain control of the body, his soul will disintegrate since it had already started the merging process.

Ray was about to rest so the process could complete before a sound suddenly rang out in his head.

"Congratulations host for activating the system"

"Calibrating the host's soul to the new body"

'What the hell is going on here, who said that'

Ray thought fearfully, he still wasn't able to talk, we'd he was certain the sound came from his head.

"Hello host, I'm the system assigned to assist you on your journey in this new world"

'The hell, how the fuck is a system in my head? Wait! Does that mean I'm an android? For fucks sake, I remember acquiring the body of a human. I mean, I even had to convince him to leave the body for me!'

Ray was finally able to calm down after hearing that. He discovered that the system was able to read his thoughts.

"For the host to perfectly merge with the new body without any side effects, the host will have to be in an unconscious state for approximately 34hours 18mins"

'That long?, won't I be in danger if any wild beast or person passes?'

Ray couldn't help but ask

"System detects no signs of life in the area. Does the host want to start the procedure?"

A screen suddenly appeared in Ray's head which had a yes or no option. He didn't think too long and choose the yes option

"Merging process has begun"

Ray soon fell unconscious...

34 hours 18 minutes later, Ray slowly started gaining consciousness. It was only after five minutes before he was able to open his eyes. He closed his eyes the moment he opened them as he had not seen the sunlight for a while now, and the sun here seems to be particularly hotter and brighter than where he came from.

He was soon flooded by unfamiliar memories, he quickly came to know it was the memories of his predecessor. He found out the world he was currently on was called the 3 heavens, and the previous owner of the body was from the scarlet city, in the azure empire which was in the lower heaven. The place he was currently on was called death mountain as it was a place where no life could exist.
