Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 100

Roxanne sent Graveler as her first pokemon to face Julian, Julian looked at his opponent's pokemon and smiled.
Julian "Treecko your up"
Julian sent out his Shiny Treecko, Treecko looked at his opponent and took a stance as he was ready to battle.
Ash and his friends were surprised to see Julian also had a Treecko.
Ash "Hey Julian also has a Treecko"
Brock "Yes but it looks very different, those colors on it look so bright"
Max "Cool, it's a shiny Treecko I also want one when I grow up"
May "Whats a Shiny?"
Brock "Shiny pokemons are variant of same species and have a completely different color scheme, just like Ash's Noctowl"
May "So Ash also has a shiny pokemon?"
Ash "Yes, Noctowl is back at Professor Oak's lab in Kanto"
Back at the battlefield, Roxanne becomes alert as she is at a disadvantage and she doesn't know what type of moves does Treecko knows.
Roxanne "Graveler use Rollout"
Graveler curled itself and rolled towards Treecko with full speed, Treecko stood there as he waited for his opponent to get closer.
Julian "Jump, Bullet Seed"
Treecko used his tail to jump up and dodged Graveler then shot continuous Bullet Seeds at Graveler.
Roxanne "Graveler keep rolling and dodge the Bullet Seeds"
Graveler kept rolling and dodged the Bullet Seeds, some would hit it but they would get rebounded as Graveler is rolling at very high speed.
Max "The Bullet Seeds didn't affect at all"
Brock "That's not it, the Bullet Seeds did damage but due to Graveler spinning at such high speed they are getting rebounded before causing major damage"
Max "What will Julian do?"
Brock "If we are talking about Julian there is no need to worry, from what I have seen so far and how Julian battles it always end up in his favor"
Max "So cool"
Julian "Treecko Bullet Seeds in front of Graveler's path"

As Graveler was rolling and dodging the attacks, Treecko used Bullet seeds in front of Graveler's path and made a small pit in with Graveler got caught, due to Graveler's weight and the soft ground Graveler couldn't advance further.
Julian "Absorb"
Treecko moved fast and activated Absorb but the effects were more powerful, Julian noticed that Treecko learned Mega Drain.
Julian 'Mega Drain, it must have upgraded from Absorb'
Treecko drained half of Graveler's energy and so Graveler became tired, it could not get out of the pit it was stuck in even after trying rollout, the harder it tried the deeper it went.
Roxanne was in a pinch, she didn't expect that the battlefield which was made specifically so that her rock type pokemons can have an edge became their own downfall.
Roxanne "Graveler use your arms instead of Rollout to get outside"
Graveler started to use its hands and climb up the pit.
Julian "Treecko, use Pound"
Graveler was vulnerable currently as its arms were also occupied, if it lets go to defend itself it will go back into the pit again but if it didn't it will still go back to the Pit after being attacked.
Roxanne didn't want to take another hit but didn't want to get stuck inside the pit as well, she soon came up with a decision.
Roxanne "Graveler let go"
Graveler let go of its hold and rolled back to the bottom of the pit, Treecko stopped in his tracks and looked at his trapped opponent.
Julian "Mega Drain"
Treecko used Mega Drain once again and drained the remaining half of Graveler's energy and knocked it out.
Referee "Graveler is unable to battle Treecko wins"
Max "Julian won"
Ash "That Treecko is really strong, Treecko and I should also start to train harder if we want to battle them"
Max "In your dreams, you can't even come closer to the champion"

Back at the battlefield Roxanne calls back Graveler and looks at Julian, she now knows what is the difference between battling a normal trainer and a champion, even though Julian has new pokemons he still has his battle instinct that is exceptional and cannot be mastered just by doing normal training and battles.
Roxanne "Then, I choose you Lairon"
Roxanne sends a Lairon a Steel/Rock type, Julian look at this new pokemon, it's his first time seeing a Lairon in real life so he doesn't know much about it except what's written in books and research papers.
Julian calls back Treecko and he doesn't want to overwork him.
Julian "Larvitar you're up"
Larvitar enters the battlefield and looked at his Opponent.
Brock "This is going to be an interesting battle, both have a type which has an advantage over the other"
Roxanne "Lairon use Mud Slap"
Julian "Dig"
Larvitar uses Dig and dodges the Mud Slap.
Julian "Iron Head"
Larvitar suddenly comes under Lairon and smashes into it using Iron Head, Lairon is sent rolling on the ground but it gets up after shaking away the pain.
Roxanne "Body Slam"
Roxanne noticed that Larvitar was not fast so she chose to approach it with powerful physical attacks.
Julian "Larvitar used Sand Storm"
Suddenly the whole battlefield is covered with Sand Storm covering everywhere causing Lairon to get startled as it lost its target in the middle of the Sand Storm.
Roxanne "Don't panic use Shock Wave"
Lairon sent Shock Wave across the whole field but they didn't know if it was effective, they were in bad luck as Larvitar's hidden ability was Sand Veil and it allowed Larvitar to evade pretty much any attack in a Sand Storm.
Julian "Use Bite"
Larvitar used Bite and dark Kenine formed from Dark energy came down on Lairon, it was hurt but it still had some strength left in it, but until the Sand Storm was their there was no way for it to attack Larvitar.
Julian "Finish it Iron Head"
Larvitar for one last time smashed into Lairon from the side using Iron head and sent it flying off the battlefield as it fainted.
Referee "Lairon is unable to battle, Larvitar wins, hence the winner of this challenge is Trainer Julian"
Max "He Won that too so easily, it was nothing like Ash"
Ash "Hey what do you mean?"
Max "Of course I am saying that your battle cannot be compared to that of Julian"
Brock "Enough you two"
May "Max just stay quiet"
Max "Sorry"
Roxanne came forwards and handed over the Stone Badge to Julian.
Roxanne "No wonder you were the champion, you could even win so easily against me with new inexperienced pokemon"
Julian "You are not bad either if you perfect your battle strategy you might even become an elite-four, and your Lairon has such great potential, it will grow into a fine Aggron one day"
Roxanne "Thank you"
Julian "Then I will be going"
Julian walked out of the gym and was followed by Ash and his friends.
Ash "Julian so where are you going next?"
Julian "Dewford Island, the closest gym should be there"
Ash "I see then we will also head towards Dewford Island"
Julian "Ok then I have some work to do, you should look around the city, you can find everything here"
Julian soon escaped from there leaving them staring blankly at his back.
Max "Wait, I couldn't say hi to him"
Max started to complain loudly as he was dejected as he couldn't talk to his Idol.
May "Don't worry Max we will meet him some other time"
Max "I guess you are right"
And so they also went their own ways.

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal
