Journey Towards Greatness Chapter 98

Julian is on his way towards Rustboro city but to reach there he has to travel through a thick forest filled with wild pokemons, he is currently riding through the forest in his bike when he suddenly noticed something ahead of him.
The area in front of him was completely dark even though the sun was high in the sky and the other area around the forest was quite bright.
Julian 'What could this be?"
Julian stopped his bike and got off of it and walked towards the dark area when he got near he felt ghost energy coming from there.
Julian 'Is this the work of a ghost type pokemon?'
Julian sent out Gengar as he didn't want to take any chances.
Julian "Gengar look into it and tell me what is going on"
Gengar nodded and went into the dark area and disappeared, Julian stood there as he waited for Gengar to come out, after waiting for five minutes he suddenly noticed the changes in the dark area the, it looked like it was fading.
Julian 'What is Gengar up to?'
Just he was about to enter to check for himself he noticed two shadows bolting out of the area, one was Gengar who is chasing and another is Dusknoir also a Ghost-type Pokemon.
Julian looked at the fleeing Dusknoir and figured out that it was the culprit behind this area going dark.
Julian 'It must have made it hideout here and trying to find some spirits around here'
Gengar soon came back as he was laughing, Julian knew Gengar gave that Dusknoir a hard time, he sent him back to his Pokeball and continued his way towards Rustboro city.
Julian spent most of his day riding through the forest and when the day was about to end he finally saw the end of the forest and was greeted by the site of a big city which was lit with lights everywhere and the main attraction was a tall tower right in the middle of the city.

Julian "I have finally arrived after riding through the thick forest for so long"
Julian hit the accelerator and rode off with full speed towards the city.
Julian 'If I am not wrong the Devon Corporation's headquarters is also here in Rustboro city'
Devon Corporation is one of the biggest companies here in Hoenn that make different products for the trainers.
Julian entered the city and quickly went into a hotel to call it a day, next morning Julian woke up a little late.
Julian 'Its 10 am I should visit some places around before challenging the gym here'
Julian got ready and headed out to take a look at the city's sites, he visited the tallest tower in the city, then he went to the Devon Corporation to check out how do they make products for the trainers like navigators, digital wrist watches and many useful things a trainer might need while he is traveling.
After completing his tour around the corporation he decided to visit the Pokemon Trainer's School when he reached there he was greeted by an old man wearing a butler outfit as he started to show around Julian around the place.
Julian was currently looking at a battle between two amateur trainers in the school when he heard a siren going out, then he heard a bang sound.
Julian 'Hmm, what's going on?'
Julian walked out of the battle classroom and went towards the source of the sound when he reached there he saw a big Wurmple robot with the three team-rocket idiots inside, he also saw Ash, May, Max and Brock with Roxanne the gym leader and few kids in front of it.
Julian 'What the heck, why are Ash and his gang still here I thought he should have already defeated the gym leader and went to another city, looks like I am quite early'

Julian had started his journey a little slower than Ash so that he won't bump into him that much but it looks like his calculation were not on the mark this time.
Julian 'Well I can't do anything now except wait and see what happens'
Julian just stood there as he watched how pathetic team rocket really was, as they got beat up by little kids who had no experience when it came to pokemon battle, Roxanne finished the battle with her Geodude by using a Roll Out.
Julian 'A fast and powerful Roll Out, impressive'
Julian was impressed by the power behind Roxanne's Geodude Roll Out, he saw team rocket sent flying, as he had nothing to do he decided to leave and challenge the Gym tomorrow after Ash finishes his battle, Julian turned around and left.
Brock who was also there noticed Julian but he didn't see him completely as Julian had already turned around and left.
Brock "Hmm, is that Julian?"
Ash "Julian? where?"
Ash looked left and right but couldn't find Julian at all.
Brock "It must have been my imagination"
Ash "Ah I see"
Max "Who is Julian"
Ash "A friend of ours"
Max "I see"
They also went their separate ways as Ash needed to prepare for his battle against Roxanne.

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
