Daisy "What is the purpose of such a handsome young man to visit us? do you want our autographs?"

Violet "if you are here for autographs we don't do autographs but we can compromise if you spend some time with us"

Lily "Yes we will definitely be happy to be accompanied by such a handsome young man"

They all take their time admiring Julian's appearance and speak to him flirtatiously.

Daisy "You will battle all three of us sisters but each of us will only use one pokemon whereas you can you three pokemons, the first person whos all three pokemons are unable to battle loses"

Julian "That's fair let's start"

Julian goes and stands on his platform and his first opponent is Lily

Lily "Hope you put up a challenge go Goldeen" she throws a Pokeball and a Goldeen comes out of the Pokeball

Julian "Don't worry, Gyarados I choose you"

When Lily hears what pokemon Julian will send she is already startled but when she sees an overgrown red Gyarados she starts to literally sweat but the sweat is suddenly washed by the water which splashed after Gyarados, Daisy and Violet suddenly started to get intimidated by seeing a giant Gyarados

Lily "That Gyarados is huge, this is cheating"

Julian "Cheating? , is there any rule that says not to use a Gyarados in a gym battle?" Julian asks with THAT smile

Lily seeing his smile nearly forgot what she was saying but after seconds she gains her wits back

Lily "No there is no such rule." she says in a low voice as if she was a mosquito

Julian "Ok then lets start"

Lily "Goldeen use Horn attack" Goldeen attacks Gyarados with horn attack but it was no use as Gyarados defense was way bigger than Goldeen's attack

Lily "Impossible"

Julian "Gyarados send Goldeen flying with a tail whip" Gyarados simply waves his tail and sends Goldeen out of the water.

Daisy "Goldeen is unable to battle Gyarados wins"

Violet walks toward the battle stadium and exchanges places with Lily

Violet "I will be your next opponent, go Seaking"

Julian "It's a pleasure"

Violet "Seaking use water pulse"

Julian "Gyarados use water gun and deflect it" as water gun and water pulse clashes under water huge waves are created in the water

As the water is still waving madly confusing Seaking she gets suddenly hit by a headbutt and is sent flying.

Violet seeing this could not do anything and only grit her teeth

Daisy "Challenger Julian we don't have any pokemon which is able to defeat your Gyarados so we will admit defeat"

Daisy walks towards Julian and gives him the Cascade badge, Julian simply accepted it has he had also prepared for this event if it occurs as he knew these sisters hated losing in battles so they would directly admit defeat than lose in a pokemon battle that's why they stopped accepting challenges after Gary and other two trainers from pallet town defeated them in anime.

This event was all seen by misty who was at the corner of the gym as she held her hands tightly and now was determined that she will become stronger so that they will not lose again such humiliatingly.

Julian "Then I will be going then, but before that, I will say you this train you pokemons and yourself to become strong so that not any random person can come and defeat you so easily as I did or it will really hurt you little pride that you have" he says that and walks out of the gym.

Back inside the gym, the three sisters are standing silently but something has changed in them due to today's humiliating defeat they have become very determined.

Julian, of course, new this as he purposely planted this seed inside them because he wanted them to become strong and give Gary a good fight, even though he was not really related to Gary he had gotten closer to him in the time they spent together, so this was all so that Gary can gain some experience by having a good battle to start his journey, Julian didn't care about others trainers from pallet town as he has never met them so he didn't care if he had made it harder for them or not.

Julian hops on his bike and heads of to the near seaport.
