Chapter 117: Treasures Fill the Home (1)
Translator: Guy Gone Bad
Su Rong took a seat in the contestants’ seat, looking grave.
Some contestants from the Imperial College all looked at Su Rong in shock.
“Su Rong, have you made it to the new level? You are impressive! I thought you could not make it today.” said Nangong Qianxue while blinking.
Su Rong said tensely, “After the heated fight, I got promoted by sheer luck. A blessing in disguise. Just a blessing in disguise, you know.”
Lou Feng looked at Su Rong gloomily. First Mo Yi got promoted to level four, and now even Su Rong got promoted to level four. What is going on with Lou Yu’s people? They got promoted one after another!
Is it really due to the cultivation formations? On thinking of that, Lou Feng got filled with pent up anger. Lou Yu had sold those cultivation formations all to those big shots, and below the table. And those who successively bought them hid them pretty well. He racked his brains and only purchased three.
Thinking that as long as General Ji’s soldiers had enough medals, with a big sum of star coins, they could have a chance to cultivate in the cultivation room that was equipped with six cultivation formations, while he only had got three, which really drove him nuts.
“Su Rong, you look quite tense!” said Nan Gongxue while looking at Su Rong with her head tilted.
“How can he not be tense? Later he was gonna fight a very beautiful woman. Of course he feels stressful.” said Mo Yi while smiling lightly.
Su Rong gave a hollow laugh. If he won, it was 1 to 30 on Prince Yu’s side, which could earn the prince 150 billion, while Lord Mo Fei was 1 to 10, and it was a bet of 20 billion, plus Mo Yi’s 10 billion! On his shoulder was 180 billion! So many star coins! He could feel his hair stood on end even on thinking of it!

Su Rong looked up to the sky! Oh man! He was only a common mortal. Why would all these people shoulder such a big burden on him! It’d kill him!
“Hey, it’s your turn.” Someone came and said to him.
Su Rong suddenly stood up, saying with a shaken voice, “Is it my turn already? Is it already my turn? I mean, how could it be so soon to be my turn?”
Mo Yi stood up, saying grumpily, “Don’t be so nervous. There is still some time. It’s my turn now.”
Su Rong heaved a long sigh, “Really? That’s great. That’s great!”
Nangong Qianxue looked at Su Rong, “Su Rong, with such a mental state, you already lose before you go up onto the arena.”
Su Rong shook his head, murmuring, “I can’t lose! If I lose, I will be dead meat, I mean, a very miserable one. I am still young. I don’t wanna die. I want to stay alive.” Finally, Su Rong was nearly using a wailing tone, making himself pitifully.
Nangong Qianxue looked at Su Rong, “Su Rong, don’t be like that. Winning or losing a battle is a common occurrence. You don’t have to be so intense. Ming Feiya is very powerful. Even if you lose, it’s understandable. No big deal.”
Su Rong wore a long sad face, “As long as the third Crown Princess would also think it this way. It’d be good if Prince Yu thinks it this way even if the third Crown Princess wouldn’t think is this way.”
Nangong Qianxue looked at Su Rong, saying with a suspicious tone, “Su Rong, judging from your tone, why do I feel you are afraid of the third crown princess even more than the third prince! Is Lord Mo Fei so horrible?”

Su Rong picked his eyebrows, trying to make himself sound calm as usual, “Of course. Offending prince Yu means offending him only. But offending the third crown princess means offending both of them.”
Nangong Qianxue held his chin with his hands, “Really? If so, the third prince and the crown princess should be very intimate.”
“That’s a sure thing. They are a couple. A good Jack makes a good Jill.” Said Su Rong reasonably.
Lou Feng who was sitting next to Lin Feiyu couldn’t help giving Su Rong a look on hearing that.
On seeing Lin Feiyu, Su Rong was a little surprised, “Lin Feiyu? What is he doing here?”
Nangong Qianxue shrugged her shoulders, “He is here to see Prince Feng.”
Su Rong nodded, “Really?” Is he here to visit Prince Feng or trying to hook up with Prince Yu again? Fortunately Prince Yu was not here.
“Su Rong, congratulations!” Lin Feiyu smiled at Su Rong.
Su Rong nodded, face looking quite stiff, “Thank you.”
Lin Feiyu still wanted to say something, but on seeing Su Rong’s unapproachable face, he said no more.
Lin Feiyu frowned and could not help digging his own palm with his fingernails. The cultivation formation was really useful. Some days ago he went to Lou Yu, but Lou Yu made an excuse and refused to meet him. People all say a man would forget his old flame once he got a new lover. Lin Feiyu never knew Lou Yu was also one of them.
Lin Feiyu sipped his lip. He was here only expecting he could meet Lou Yu. But Lou Yu just didn’t show up, maybe trying to avoid him on purpose.
As for the cultivation formation, Lin Feiyu was also yearning for it, so did his family. They thought Lin Feiyu could get quite a few formations relying on his relationship with Lou Yu. But judging from the present situation, Lou Yu didn’t have the heart at all.
“Su Rong, it’s your turn,” Nangong Qianxue reminded him.
Su Rong nodded and stood up unflinchingly.
Having been nervous for such a long time, now when it was really his turn, he suddenly took a tumble. It was only a life to cost at most. What he only needed to do was try his best.

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
