"Hello Song Dei Si"

"What's up?" She asked when she heard Lee Jin Ho's voice. She was trying to sound casual as possible.

"It's been a while. I just want to invite you out on a coffee date after office hour. Hope you don't mind" Lee Jin Ho invited her without any hesitation on his voice.

She was taken a back by his invitation. Is it okay to go out with another guy after she got married to Yan Mor Tee? Thou their union wasn't binded by mutual love, by law she was his wife and it wasn't ideal to still entertain someone who was wooing her.

"Dei Si." Lee Jin Ho called out her name when he hasn't recieved any response.

Song Dei Si took a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry but I can't go out with you anymore"

"Why?"

"I am now married."

There was a long silence.

"Jin Ho.." she said when she heard nothing from Lee Jin Ho. "Jin Ho hope you understand. It is not possible anymore for the two of us. Hope you'll find the right woman for you. I am sorry I won't be that woman anymore."

"Uhm" Lee Jin Ho uttered.

"Hope we can still be friends." She said

"Uhm. That's all that we have."

Did she hear that his voice was shaking?

"Bye now." Lee Jin Ho said in awhile.

"Bye."

Song Dei Si was still standing in a trance inside Yan Mor Tee's private room after she hanged up the phone. She was convinced that she heard that Lee Jin Ho's voice was shaking and he was at the verge of crying. She took a deep breath and dial someone's number on her phone.

"Hello, Ho Min Lin, where you at? Can you meet me at Brooks Cafe."

"What did you say?" Ho Min Lin asked in disbelief when she heard the big news from Song Dei Si.

"Do I have to tell it over again?"

"When did you marry Yan Mor Tee?"

"About a month ago."

"Month ago and you are just sharing with me this big milestone in your life just now? Am I really your bestfriend?" Ho Min Lin's voice was full of disappointment.

"I am sorry if I didn't tell it right away. After we have registered our marriage, we had our honeymoon and we've still catching up with some stuff in Yan Enterprise"

"It will just take you a minute to say it to me on the phone. Is it that hard to give me a call?"

"I am sorry. I didn't tell you right away because I know you will have this big reaction. We had an interview earlier and the news about our union will soon come out and I want to personally tell it to you first before it hits the magazine stands and posted in the business forum"

Ho Min Lin rolled her eyes. "Aside from me, who else from our group knew about your union?"

"Lee Jin Ho." She answered.

"See, Lee Jin Ho knew it first before me!"

"He invited me for a coffee date and I had to reject him and left with no choice but to tell him that I am now married"

"Well that's the right thing to do." Ho Min Lin agreed.

"Uhm"

"What was his reaction?"

"I didn't see. I just told him the news over the phone. But I heard his voice was cracking."

Ho Min Lin nodded. "He was hurt so bad. I'm sure about that. Lee Jin Ho likes you a lot since our highschool days. Poor Jin Ho."

"That's why I want you to help him cope up with his sadness."

Ho Min Lin raised her brows. "And how am I gonna help him?"

"Go to him. Cheer him up."

"Are you telling me to be his rebound?" Ho Min Lin raised her voice and was upset.

"No. I am telling you to be a good friend to him"

Ho Min Lin fell silence.

"Please spare time to check on him." Song Dei Si said.

Ho Min Lin took a deep sigh.

"Are you guilty because you break somebody's heart?" She asked.

"No. I felt bad because I was the reason of his unhappiness. Thou I still wanted to be a friend that he can lean on but I could never be that friend to him anymore. So please be that one for him."

"Do you in any way likes Lee Jin Ho too?"

"I always like him since highschool but not in a romantic way."

Ho Min Lin nodded.

"Do you still like him?" Song Dei Si asked.

"I stopped liking him the moment I realized that it was you that he likes when we were in highschool"

"But why are you not entertaining any suitors until now?" She said.

"I thought you are my bestfriend but how come you didn't know that my heart now beats to somebody else. Just like I have always known that your heart only belongs to Yan Mor Tee all these years even if you never told me about it." Ho Min Lin said with disappointment on her voice.

"Do you think I was dense enough not to know that you have falling in love with Tan Ji Nan the moment he started ignoring you when we were in highschool and still trying to win him back after all these years? If Tan Ji Nan did not reciprocate your feelings to him after 8 long years maybe he was over you long time ago. Maybe it's about time to give yourself another chance, to love somebody else."

Ho Min Lin looked at Song Dei Si dumbfounded.

Yes, she was right, she was helplessly waiting for Tan Ji Nan to love her again for 8 long years now.

But Tan Ji Nan has never looked at her again.

Maybe Song Dei Si was right. Maybe it was about time to love somebody else.

But was she ready to let her feelings for Tan Ji Nan go?
