Yan Mor Tee has decided.

He will not pursue Song Dei Si this time. He heeded the advise of her father and his grandfather to stay away from her so she could focus on her studies first. He will just care for her silently and from a distance.

Thou he did not court her when they were in Grade 10, he made sure that none of the guys in Yan High School could have their chances on her. He guarded her to the point that before they can have their first move he had shooed them away.

The news about them being a couple has also died down at the end of the school year. If you will look at them, you can just say that they were merely classmate.

Two years has passed.

Yan Mor Tee and Song Dei Si remained classmate until the last year of their Senior High.

Song Dei Si still belonged at the Top 3 of the class. Tan Ja Nin was still her top rival on the Top 1 position. She cannot underestimate the intelligence of this young lass. She was truly a combination of beauty and brain. If she didn't study hard until the dawn of the next day when they have their quarterly exam, Tan Jan Nin will no doubt got the Top 1 position without a sweat. She needs to study extra hard to keep her place on Top 1. It was the mid of the school year when they need to work together in one of their school projects. Their groupmates had a hardtime choosing who's going to lead the project. Having the connection and fame that Tan Ja Nin has, she had the team lead role. Their views on some things may not be the same but the end of each argument, they always have respected each other opinion. They were rivals who idolized and have big respect with each other abilities and capabilities. They somewhat had also treated each other more than acquiantances.

"Hi Dei Si, will it be okay if we go to our house later after class to discuss what to do next on our project. " Tan Ja Nin told her when she bumped into her at the school cafeteria during lunch break.

"Sure! I will tell dad that I'm going to be home late."

"Great! See you after class!" Tan Ja Nin gave her a smile and left her.

It was Song Dei Si's first time to set her feet at Tan's Mansion. She was in awe when she saw it. It has a huge lawn that you can actually play golf inside.

The Tan was really one of the elite families. Her parents was one of the owners of the top conglomorate businesses in the country. She have heard from Ho Min Lin that the Tans and the Yans are business partners. Master Yan (Mor Tee's father) and Master Tan (Tan Ja Nin and Tan Ji Nan's father) have founded the conglomorate when they have graduated from the University. Thou they have founded each own company later on, they did not cut their partnership on this conglamorate because for them, it's more than just business partnership but more of a brotherhood.

No doubt their children, Tan Ji Nan and Yan Mor Tee grew up as bestfriends too and Tan Ja Nin who only had her eyes on Yan Mor Tee since childhood has developed feelings for him on love's first awakening.
