"Aren't you afraid she might get snatched away by him?" Calvin asked Louis.

"I am sure she won't. Our feelings are mutual and I have the audacity to face a little competition. Moreover, I think we are destined to be with each other." Louis told.

"All right, as you wish." Charlotte answered.

"I will ask the interview panel to disclose the results, then." She said, walking away...

"Then, I will be going back, Louis. I still have that case study to finish and I must submit it to your dad before the fortnight. Or else, I will be doomed by my own father." Calvin sighed, thinking up the work waiting for him.

"All right, go then and all the best." Louis chuckled while answering.

"I guess that case isn't an easy one, Mr. Investigative journalist." Louis teased.

"I have my whole team working on it dude. I might not be powerful enough in this country but whatever started, it started in our country itself. So, there is no need to look down on me like that." Calvin rebuked before going away.

Meanwhile…

Downstairs….

Time has indeed passed rather quickly than anticipated and now, everyone is in the heat of the moment because results will be out any time soon.

They will be displayed on the huge screen in the room and at the same time, people who got selected will get their joining letters forwarded to their emails at the same time.

The people who are in between ranks seven to twelve will receive letters that might help them to get extra points in their next interview.

Whereas, the rest of the others had to try next time.

It is an open secret that three of the first ranks are fake. It is because those three are rich lads who are having support from the shareholders and board members.

So, another three ranks are left for almost a hundred people to compete.

"Gosh, I never felt this anxious. My hair is standing upright due to anxiety." Luke muttered, tapping his legs continuously on the wooden floor.

"I can feel goosebumps." Hailey answered, skimming her hands on her arms.

Meanwhile, Brina couldn't comprehend how she is feeling. She is sure about one thing that she can't work in her previous company anymore.

She loves working with her best friend, Tanya, but she doesn't want to be her personal secretary and get mingled with all those high socialites in the inner circle.

In addition to this, after Chris proposed to her, it will never be the same.

She knew him very well and he is not someone who gives up without putting his best efforts.

She isn't ready for that.

In the midst of her thoughts, an electronic voice boomed across the room, bringing everyone's attention back from their reveries and worries.

As soon as the voice reverberated in the silent room, the huge screen lit up displaying the first twelve ranks.

As expected, those rich lads got random three ranks in the first six ranks.

Meanwhile, the first rank is given to Luke.

As Louis wanted to be professional in this matter and doesn't want his personal life to affect his company's effectiveness, Luke is given what he deserved.

Though he is a little jealous that Brina is somewhat close to Luke. But it didn't matter to him much.

He has after all kissed her and they even shared some happy moments together which seems to have imprinted in Brina's heart in an emotional way.

So taking all these matters into consideration, Louis didn't feel like Luke would be a huge competition.

Fourth rank is of Hailey's while the second rank is allotted to Brina.

Others let out a sigh, discontentment clearly written all over their faces. With the sad atmosphere surrounding them, they slowly made their way out, praying to god that they should get a chance next time to see their own names on that giant screen.

Meanwhile the people with ranks seven to twelve got their appreciation letters forwarded to their emails. Hoping that their stars will be aligned with their luck next time. They thanked the panel and made their exit.

After that…

Brina, Luke, and Hailey, along with three other rich lads, are called to the next floor where they will be getting their identity cards and schedules.

Luke was so, so emotional that he couldn't help but hug both Hailey and Brina in excitement.

Both the girls patted his shoulder and smiled at him. They are genuinely happy that he got selected.

His family can at last be in peace and they can see the light of the happy life again.

As they went to the next floor, the director himself welcomed them.

This team is after all selected for the special project and the executives from the main branch will be leading this group.

So, he presumed that this project is so important and prestigious.

However, it is not yet disclosed that these executives are none other than the new President/CEO, Edward aka Louis, vice president Charlotte, and the famous investigative journalist, Calvin.

"Your group will be led by the executives from the main branch and you six will be added to the special group that arrived from the main branch. That makes you twenty four people in total. All the best, and don't let us down for selecting this branch." the director addressed.

"Now, please go to the twenty eighth floor. Your project managers are waiting to give you a brief introduction." He added, before going back to his room.

Brina and others reached the floor and as soon as they entered the meeting room, Brina was utterly shocked.

Sitting in the project manager chair is none other than Louis himself.
