Ch 50 – School (1)
“He has school?” Chen Diayu was a little surprised, she was used to playing with her cousin all day long.
“Yeah, today was his first day of school.” Lu Ji looked down at his niece, and comforted her, “don’t worry, once you catch up in your studies you can also go to school.”
“Really?” Chen Daiyu looked up excitedly. She had been quite diligent with her studies and always made sure to fill out all she thought a 6 year old should know.
Lu Ji nodded dutifully.
“Then I’ll go to Yujin’s school!”
“Yu Yu!” Chen Diayu turned to see Shan Yijun running towards them.
“Yijun! Uncle Lu said that I’ll be soon going to your school!”
“What? Really?”
“Yeah! Uncle Lu swore on his life!” Chen Daiyu smiled and tugged at the corner of Lu Ji’s clothes.
Lu Ji: nani? I don’t remember saying that-
But with Chen Daiyu smiling up at him, he felt like he had no say on it…
“Where were you this whole time?” Shan Yijun looked worriedly at his cousin, “I looked for you all over the house and nobody knew where you were.”
“I was with grandpa all day long! I watched him train people all day, it was awesome,” Chen Diayu turned enthusiastically to her cousin, “you should come with me tomorrow.”Shan Yijun paled at this, while Old Man Shan behind them laughed.
“You should definitely come with us Yijun, you could learn some more.”
Shan Yijun turned around to look respectfully at his grandfather, “I do apologize, but it seems I have school tomorrow as well and will be unable to accompany the both of you.”He then turned back around and ran back to the main building, leaving a confused Chen Diayu behind.
Old Man Shan laughed again and looked at his confused granddaughter, “Yijun doesn’t have the aptitude for martial arts, nor matter how much I tried he wouldn’t stay past one training.”

Chen Diayu nodded, having gained a new understanding of her cousin.
Chen Daiyu continued passing her days in her grandfather’s training facility after she had finished studying.
One day after dinner, Chen Feng took Chen Daiyu to the living room and played a few rounds of Go with her.
“Diane He contacted me saying that you have learnt chinese up to your grade level, She hasn’t stopped complimenting how quickly you learn.”
Besides Liu Teng and Neng Chinghong, Chen Daiyu had a third tutor for general subjects. She had actually never met Diane He, she just received weekly packages of exercise she needed to complete and Lu Ji was responsible for mailing them back.
After Du Lin’s birthday party, Liu Teng never appeared again. Chen Feng said that her manners and etiquette are enough and needn’t need a teacher anymore.
In regards to this arrangement, Chen Daiyu had no complaints, she enjoyed having time to learn for herself without someone always watching over her. Her only concern was that she wasn’t sure how much a 6 year old was supposed to know, so she just simply filled them out completely.
“Can I go to school now then?”
Chen Feng looked up to see his daughter’s sparkling eyes and nodded.
“We will go to the school tomorrow morning to register you. You’ll probably have to take a test to measure what You have learned til now, though you’ll probably have no problem with it.”
Chen Diayu nodded happily, “I’ll do my very best.”
She tossed and turned, too excited to go to school and be able to maybe just taste the life of a normal person. In the end, she slept late and got up too early.
By the time she got down for breakfast, not even her grandfather was up.
Butler Shan who came from the kitchen was surprised to see her awake so early, the sun wasn’t completely up yet. “Young Miss, would you like to have breakfast now or would you like for me to bring you a few snacks to the living room?”

Chen Daiyu looked at Butler Shan in surprise, she just told him that she would wait in the living room while everyone woke up. She still wasn’t used to being served.
She ate snacks bit by bit to fill her stomach, but being full just made her even more sleepy.
Cheng Feng came down the stairs to Chen Daiyu asleep on the couch, he couldn’t help but smile.
He approached her quietly and patted her, “little rabbit, it’s time for breakfast.”
Chen Daiyu’s eyelids fluttered as she woke up again. Realizing what had happened she sprung up from the sofa, almost knocking into Chen Feng.
“Oh no, what time is it,” she looked around frantically for a clock, “Dad, did I oversleep?!?” when she couldn’t find a clock, she panicked even more. Chen Feng mused to himself, I’m afraid like she’ll cry if I don’t tell her…
Chen Daiyu really felt like crying…Chen Feng chuckled and patted her head, “don’t worry, it’s still quite early for breakfast. The Old Man has only just arrived.”Only then did Chen Daiyu calm down and looked up to her dad, “let’s go eat?”Chen Feng almost laughed, he heard from butler Shan that she ate a lot of snacks before taking a nap. She even had crumbs left around her mouth and now she wanted to eat more.
The two sat down and waited for everyone else to arrive before quietly eating together.
Shan Yijun looked doubtful at his cousin, who was all dressed up, even more dressed up than the time they went to the mall “Yu Yu, are you going somewhere today?”Chen Daiyu looked up to Shan Yijun mysteriously and vaguely responded, “it’s a surprise.”
When Shan Yijun got into the car to leave for school, he was accompanied by his cousin and uncle.
The car ride was quiet, each with their own thoughts.
The car finally stopped in front of the school fence.
Shan Yijun got down and was about to say goodbye to his cousin when he noticed both of them getting out of the car as well.
“Yu yu?”
Chen Daiyu still didn’t explain anything until a woman that was waiting by the entrance approached them.
“Mr. Chen?” The woman confirmed the identity of the man in front of her, “we have been waiting for you, is this your lovely daughter?” She crouched down and said hello to Chen Daiyu who only nodded back. She got up and told them, “I will guide you to the main office, the registration papers are ready.’Chen Feng nodded and began following the woman along with Chen Diayu.
Shan Yijun stood in his spot, registering what the woman had said.
“Yu yu, you’re coming to school?!” He followed excitedly after them, forgetting he had to get to his classroom.
Chen Daiyu looked up smugly.
Shan Yijun immediately ran to his classroom after confirming, ready to tell his friends.
On the other hand, Chen Feng filled out the forms to register Chen Daiyu. He was filling them out on the counter top, while the staff around him watched him curiously. Chen Diayu was sitting on a chair by the side, observing him.
This scene reminded her of when Chen Feng was filling the forms out in the orphanage, which already seemed to be ages ago. That time, she would’ve never thought that their fate was intertwined.
She snapped out of her thoughts when a pudgy man approached them. Ugh, he reminded her of that dean that looked like a pig who learned to walk on two legs from the orphanage. Despite that thought, her expression didn’t change.
“Good morning Mr. Chen, I am Lan Wu, the principal of the school, The school is honored to keep two children of Shan family ”

A D&D Gamer in Garweeze Wurld
He doesn't know how he got here, and while the trappings are familiar, he doesn't actually know where he is, either. From the perspective of those around him, Duromar is a half-ogre barbarian, an uncivilized brute by any standard you care to use. But from his perspective, he's a character created in a gaming system. From either one, he must live within the rules of that system. This is the story of a gamer who ends up in a game that's just a bit off from what he knows. ---- I wanted to write something a little bit old-school. Most of the LitRPG I've found seems to be based on computer RPG styled stories. Progression through levels is fast, and depending on the game, skills and even attributes can be trained with or without class levels. This wasn't true with the older pen and paper games, and that's the style of leveling I wanted to write.

The Tales of YAP: The Superhero Series
“Listen well, and listen kindly, for my story is a story of contradictions; of the dead becoming alive and the weak becoming strong. Likewise, those nominated as the strong are reduced into the weakest of foes. And lovers, those sweet companions, are nothing but crazed psychopaths. This is the type of story I will tell. The story only I can speak of for it is solely mine. And now, as I recount it to you, thence forth it shall belong to all that hear of it. Listen well, then, for I shall begin.”Sooo, that’s it. The world isn’t what it is. The dead are alive. The weak become strong. And bla bla bla. The normal days of a superhero-in-training, I suppose. I hope you have a bit of patience because my story is a long one, and it starts out in the same old, boring world. My name is Yassi Anne P. Sorento, and this is my story before I became the superhero I am today. (First posted on Webnovel with the same title and under the name, Hua_Li_An.)
