Chapter 25 – Grandfather
The family arrived at the Capital 2 days later.
“Sigh, the air of the capital is really…” Polluted….
Lu Ji sighed. He got off the plane and went on ahead without waiting for anybody, lest he become a carrier once again.
On the private plane, as usual, Chen Feng had an insincere smile on his face. Behind him were Shan Yijun and Chen Daiyu.
Attendants carefully took off their belts and helped them stand up.
Unlike Lu Ji who went on ahead, Chu Mo stayed and waited for his orders. This is the second time Chen Daiyu has seen Chu Mo. First, when he became their chauffeur, he disappeared after they arrived at the mansion. The second was this time on the plane, he has been quiet the whole time, Lu Ji was the one that made the most conversation through the plane ride.
All in all, in Chen Daiyu’s perspective, Chu Mo must be well trusted by Chen Feng. Her eyes shone, She stared at Chu Mo intensly, trying to figure out what he helped Chen Feng with. It was useless though, she was staring for so long, that Chu Mo’s face started to twich. She was hoping to figure out what he did, thought it was a fruitless search.
After a while, Chen Feng got up to block her line of sight and held Chen Daiyu by her hand cutting her off her thoughts. He flashed her a warm smile.
Chu Mo suddenly felt the back of his hair stand up, he couldn’t help but think ‘boss, even if you’re jealous, it’s not my fault!’
Lu Ji didn’t want to be scolded by the old man at the Shan’s main house, so he went back to his house first.
Chu Mo was sent away by Chen Feng to do something, while Shan He took a different plane from them.

“Big brother Yijun, what kind of person is grandfather?” Chen Daiyu asked.
Shan Yijun thought about it for a moment and answered, “Grandfather is really eccentric, he was obsessed with an ancient martial art that has been passed down in the family. Plus he didn’t have any children, you might’ve heard this from eldest uncle”
They were cut off mid story when they boarded a car, the 2 of them sat in the back while Chu Mo drove and Chen Feng sat in the passenger seat.
The story continued.
It’s true that she had already heard it from Lu Ji, Chen Feng and Shan He were biological siblings. But, she was more curious about the ancient martial arts that Shan Yijun had mentioned.
“Has he taught you them?”
He didn’t answer her directly, “grandfather dotes on me a lot and I’m sure he will like you too, it’s just that he has been too immersed finding a suitable children to inherit the Shan family’s martial arts and aid dad in the future, so the house may be a bit noisy for the time being”
“Then why didn’t you learn that ancient martial arts?” Chen Daiyu cutely tilted her head. Shan Yijun was defeated in an instant, he reached to pat her head and smiled brightly.
“Because it’s so uninteresting”
Chen Daiyu: “…” So you made grandfather look everywhere for a suitable candidate? And avoided admitting it?
In a certain mansion far away from Chen Daiyu…
“Achooo!”
“Old master please take care of your health, we will take care of the rest here” a young man that stood out from the rest of the servants reminded him.
“I am perfectly fine! We’re still preparing the place for my granddaughter! I am strong enough to arrange such simple things, do you think I’m past my 60s?!?” The old man bellowed at the young man.
The young man, seemingly used to this deadpanned. “Old master, you just turned 70, 3 months ago…”
“Damnable brat!”
