[Host, quests have been updated. Would you like to have a look at them?] Dobby asked.
'Sure.' Arvin said nonchalant. The Arvin was greeted with three quests that were available for him to take on in the quest menu…
............….
{FORCED QUEST}
Quest- RACE to the TOP
Description- ????
Rewards-????
Penalty- Death
............
As Arvin saw this quest his mind went haywire for a minute. This quest said that the penalty for not completing the quest is death? And the cherry on top is that this quest is forced? After reading about this quest Arvin realized something…
This world may be a game for the gods. But it is a survival game for the earthlings. And the only way to win or stop the game is to reach the top….
Arvin was confused about why the hell is wrong with the description of the quest. It wasn't showing anything. He had guessed from the name of the quest that it is something related to the race to the top floor of Yggdrasil. So, he decided to let future Arvin look into this quest for now, and let's move onto the next quest…
.............
{FORCED QUEST}
Quest- Road to become strong
Description- Host body is weak and could be blown away by any small-time beast of the 1st floor. To become stronger, host has to start training. Complete the following tasks for 4 months…
1>Cut one whole wood log in a day and that to all by yourself.
2>10Km run
3>100 squats
4>100 pushups
5>100 crunches
6>100 side crunches (each side)
Rewards-
1>Rejuvenating pill will be provided every day if all the tasks are completed
2>If host can complete all the tasks regularly for 4 months then a skill-???? Will
be provided to the host.
Penalty- If host is unable to do a task for any reason then he would be electrocuted for 5 mins straight with 100,000 Watts electricity. (It may cause your death)
..............
'Another Forced Quest with penalty as death. Are you F**king kidding me!' Arvin screamed in his mind.
Although he could understand the significance of the quest, still this quest was asking too much from him. He had seen the size of those logs that Josh had to cut. They were 15 feet tall and had at least 60 inches of diameter. That is a huge log. How the hell is he supposed to cut the log all by himself? This quest was absurd.

Arvin when saw the exercise that he had to do daily after cutting logs was also a pain in the a**. Arvin had spent his entire life, either working or studying. There was no way in hell that he could accomplish these goals. After all, he had never really exercised in his life. But as he moved towards rewards for the quest he saw something interesting….
'Hey, Dobby. What is a Rejuvenating pill?'
[It is a pill that helps in replenishing its user's stamina. It also affects the soreness of the body.]
'Wait. Does that mean that if I take this pill after doing tasks mentioned in the quest, all my stamina will be restored?'
[Yes.]
'And it will also affect the soreness and pain of my body?'
[Yes.]
'That's good to know…' Arvin said in his mind. Then he moved on to the third and last quest that was available in his quest' menu…
............…
{NORMAL QUEST}
Quests- I AM HERE!!!
Description- Announce the world about your presence. You are the apostle of the great god ??????. Announce the world that you have come
Reward-
1>Get famous with your face known to all people… The Guardian Shield
2>Get famous with your face not known to all people… The Guardian Shield and Ice Magic
Penalty- None
............
'That is what I am talking about. A normal quest finally' Arvin exclaimed as soon as he saw that this was a normal quest. But as he read through the quest and saw its rewards, his happiness turned into an expressionless face.
If someone sees the quest, he could tell that this is a normal quest. But after going through, one time Arvin understood the deeper meaning behind the quest…
There may be no penalty for not completing the quest. But from the rewards, it could be said that Lopt was giving him two options. And he had to abide by either one of the options. When Dobby told him about the difference between normal earthlings and Apostles he understood one thing. Yggdrasil is a big stage and all the earthlings are its puppets, performing for Gods.
If Arvin didn't complete this task then it may not have dire consequences like the first two consequences, but it will affect the relationship between Lopt and him. And as Dobby had already told him, Lopt has the power to not give him any Exp or a very low amount of Exp. So if he didn't do this task for his entertainment then Lopt may lose interest in him and then after that, he was good as dead…

It was a harsh reality, but it was the truth. Arvin then steeled his resolve. He had to work hard for his survival. He had been doing that for his whole life. But the difference between the past and now is that now that he had a backer that could reward him handsomely for his efforts…
...........
The next morning Arvin woke before Josh could. He wanted to complete his exercise before anyone found out that he was working out. He did this because he didn't want anyone to know about his strength. He wanted this because of the last quest in the quest menu. The highest reward that he will get is he gets famous while being anonymous.
He could only do that when no one in this world knows about his true strength. That was the most important part of his plan. The highest reward that he will get is too good to let go. So he had decided that he would train while not being noticed by anyone. This way he could have chances to get the highest reward…
But completing the exercise was not an easy task. He had never exercised before in his life. He didn't have to, he had always been in a walking skeleton all of his life. It was only after he drank the potion that Dobby provided him with, his physique changed a little bit. Arvin was confident that his transformed body after drinking the potion will be able to do all the tasks with ease. But boy he was wrong.
Although his transformed body did help, but not up to the extent as Arvin had thought of...
Arvin became jelly after he completed the 10 Km run. He lost all the senses in his legs. They went numb. He could only feel the pain and agony of his leg from what they had just experienced. As he was feeling the pain, it was then Arvin realized that this was only the first task that he had completed. He had to do 5 more tasks…
As the sun was about to rise, Arvin completed all of his tasks. He had no more power left. His whole body was aching like he had been crushed by a bulldozer. Yet still, he had a fire in his eyes. It was because he knew that all this pain would go away as soon as he completed all the tasks. He may be walking with the help of a stick now. But as soon as he has done all of his tasks he will be normal again…
..........
[Host has completed daily task]
[Host has been awarded Rejuvenating pill.]
[Host has gained 5 Exp.]
Messages came pouring down as soon as Arvin cut the last piece of wood of the log. It was night time. Josh had completed his share of woods a long time ago and went home while Arvin stayed here cutting a log as mentioned in the quest.
It took him a long time to finish his tasks. Now all his body was sore. Still, he had a proud smile on his face. He had the feeling that he would not be able to complete the task. But as he was able to complete them he was smiling. This was his first step towards greatness…
'Hey Dobby, how can I access the Rejuvenating pill?'
[Host just needs to think about the pill and it will appear in your hands.]
'That's convenient.'
Arvin then thought of the pill and soon magically a brown color ball appeared in his hands. The pill was the size of an eyeball. At first glance, Arvin thought that it was disgusting. He then closely inspected the ball. It didn't have a weird smell on it. It was odorless.
Arvin believed in Dobby so without any second thought he ate the pill. The pill was a little spicy but it was nothing that an Indian like him couldn't handle. But as soon as he swallowed the pill after chewing it, the spiciness in his throat vanished like it was never there, to begin with…
#SPICY now he got the sh*ts

Living In The System - A LitRPG with more story, less text boxes
In the ancient echoes upon it’s great boughs, Yggdrasil holds all the knowledge in existence. Indeed, all of creation swings from its immense branches and leaves. The howls that creep through its cavernous spaces were not caused by the wind. No wind could be powerful enough to shake The Tree, yet it rocked. A great battle raged in its dew drops and amongst its roots. A War for control. For knowledge is power, and power is everything. A furtive glance over her shoulder told the hurried goddess that she was not being followed. That was good. What she had just done would be a great risk. Placing a new thread on a world so soon to be destroyed was costly. She would be greatly diminished, but her work was not done yet. In the myriad of infinite worlds, there lies Genia. A starter world, of very little importance. It is where she will find her champion. Killian never got the chance to see the world. Yet he is given opportunity. Opportunity not just to see the world, but to change it... to change all of creation. There are many stories to tell upon the Tree of Yggdrasil, where all of creation hangs from its branches. The power of destiny fuels all, but destiny is fickle. He can only pray that things will go well. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 200The Love Hero Chronicles
Lets keep this simple shall we? Single witty and sarcastic man is now trapped in an alternate Earth based off a cringy eroge game. Worse yet he's stuck there as a supporting character with a horrendous backstory. Seeking way home or at least trying not to bite the dust as many non-protagonist male characters do. Will his real world thinking connect well to the tropey and cliché world of a harem game? Probably not.
8 62A Titan's Crusade
Erik Thayne spent most of his life being brutally ridiculed and tormented for his weight and physical appearance, among other things. A social pariah and diagnosed with an eating disorder no one has an explanation or treatment for, Erik spent years trying to overcome his issues with his personal image and escape the ridicule and vicious torment of his peers. After years of dedicated effort, and a fresh start in a town away from his childhood and adolescent tormentors, he had finally begun to truly realize what he'd been striving for all along. Only, fate apparently has other plans because in the blink of an eye, Erik found himself snatched from Earth and taken to another universe, another world, where he is offered the chance to be more than he'd ever imagined. Now, he has to fight to restore the Balance between Chaos and Order on a world of swords and magic, in a universe governed by the System's laws, which resemble those of RPGs from Earth. Erik learned to embrace the things about himself that others taught him to hate, using them to reforge his physical identity into something more removed from his old self-loathing. But can he learn to embrace the darkest parts of his mind just as he did the reviled aspects of his body and become who he needs to be to succeed in the task set before him? It might just prove easier to stalk in the dark as a monster than to walk in the light as a man... *This is my first time publishing anything I've written to a public audience. Due to formatting issues, I forwent traditional stat-screens for something a little less problematic, delineating stat screens by separating them from regular text with horizontal lines in a lighter-grey coloration. Let me know if you like them or not. Criticism is entirely welcome, but please don't hate on my work after only reading 1 chapter. This is a writing project I intend to complete but I have committment problems so we'll see how long this goes on. Also, fair warning, as the description implies, the main protagonist is intended to be someone who has been treated cruelly, developed antisocial tendencies, and ultimately has to question his own humanity--or lack thereof. This story is not intended to be brutally dark but I will definitely be trying to follow a darker theme. It is intended to be violent and some scenes later in the story might be...alarming. There will likely also be some light, non-graphic (think more implied with crude jokes and conversation than actual details, there will be no full-blown sex scenes)relationship scenes planned later and if you're opposed to either a bisexual or gay main character, stay away. I haven't yet decided which way he's going to swing but the odds on him being straight are relatively miniscule, and I've always wanted to write a story about a gay man who basically looks like a lumberjack because who doesn't like giving conventional stereo-types the middle finger? This will NOT be a harem story, and I have no intention to focus on romance over action--it's a consequence of character development where I'm concerned, not the be-all-end-all of the story. The cover-art does not, in any way, belong to me. It was an image titled the Druid King (by duskanmarkovic according to the file name) which I found on Google Images. Until I can get something commissioned, this is the best stand-in image I could find.

While trying to break free from the past, they realize that they have created even more chains on themselves, links after links, never ending. The chains of time never end.
8 191The Troll of Oium: A Norse Saga
The lands of Midgard have grown cold and choked with ice as freezing mist covers all. Only a sacrifice can bring the warmth of summer, one from each tribe of Germa in their turn until The Vargr Tribe's treachery forces all into war. But in the mitts of battle, something rages beneath a Jarl's skin turning his skin gray, eyes red, and bringing forth a craving for flesh. All the while Odin guides the future, preparing for the visions plaguing him for a millennium. A black-furred wolf, large like a mammoth, and a necromancer with green flames burning in his eyes would come for him. The battle's name would be Ragnarök and will end the world unless he claims victory by any means necessary.
8 228The Novel's Unifier
Demons and humans are meant to fight each other, until one side perishes completely. Everyone thought that quote was correct, until one day, where a child of human and demon blood was made. His life was hell. While growing up, he belonged on neither side of humans or demons. But, along with his friends, he saved the world. That was just a story Danny read, once, a long time ago. So why the hell is he in it!? Slow updates, if I even update it at all.
