The Numbers That Brought Our Fates Together Chapter 23: Never Tell Anyone.

"Sit here", the professor walked over to the couch and asked Elena to sit next to him. "Elena, if I understand you correctly, you say that you saw the complete formula from the document in your dream?"

"That's right, Professor."

"But how is this possible?" Mr. Richards was very surprised and was still baffled. "I mean, where do you know it from? After all it was only half of the formula in the document which you saw."

"I personally have no slightest idea, Professor. And this situation worries me a lot." The girl looked at the man with the hope that at least he could explain something to her.

"Elena, answer another question for me. Do you know what this information means? What is it for?"

"No, I don't know that either", she replied. "Can you tell me what's going on? Where did you get these documents from and why did you ask me to hand them over to David?"

The professor sighed and stared at the floor. It was obvious from the man's face that he was seriously thinking about something. Then he turned to Elena and took her hands.

"Elena, listen", the man's voice sounded confident and calm. "Unfortunately, I do not know what this information means and what it is for. Even if I knew, I would not tell you about it. You are like a daughter for me …"

"Professor, please. I've already grown out of this age", Elena was embarrassed to hear Mr. Richards' words, because she really respected him very much.

"Don't be silly, we have 25 years of difference. So let me take care of you in this situation. I will tell you something now, so please take my words seriously."

The girl nodded silently in response, ready to listen to everything the professor was about to tell her.

"Elena, if you have the data of this formula saved somewhere, I ask you, please delete them. Remove everything that you have."

The professor was silent for a moment and sighed.

"The only thing I can't ask you for is that you forget it. Because I know that this is impossible."

The man smiled sympathetically at the girl, since he could only imagine how much of a burden her superhuman ability might be.

"Elena, and the last thing. I beg you, never tell anyone this information. I do not know exactly what it is for, but I know for sure that it is very dangerous."

"What about Mr. Anderson? If you gave him these documents, does this mean that you can trust him?"

"Hmm, about David… let's just say that. Personally, I trust him, but should you trust him? You need to decide this for yourself." Professor Brian smiled and patted Elena on the head.

"I found one interesting manuscript of the 19th century. Would you like to take a look?"

Elena got inspired, because nothing so pleased her as the study of ancient documents. She had a feeling that she took a direct part in those historical events that were before her birth.

"With pleasure, Professor! And what is this document about?", she asked.

"Oh, this is a description of a scholar's journey to Tibet. But the most important thing is that you can do this research …"

Knock Knock.

The professor's words were interrupted by a knock at the door. He paused, expecting the person standing on the other side of the door to leave without hearing an answer.

Knock… Knock… .

A knock on the door was repeated with more perseverance.

"Elena, take the manuscript and go to the closet where we have a seating area. There you can read everything, without being interrupted and no one will notice you. I do not know who it is, since I did not expect anyone. But I think it won't take long."

The girl nodded and headed for a secluded corner of the office, hidden from the eyes of all who come inside.

Knock… Knock… .

"Coming", the professor answered the man who was waiting for him and headed for the door.

As soon as he opened the door, the man's face turned pale and an unpleasant chill passed over his back.

In front of him stood a man dressed in all black. And the only thing that was visible on his face, hidden by a black mask, was a pair of eyes filled with chilling cold.
