The Numbers That Brought Our Fates Together Chapter 11: Wanna Play With Me? (1)
"Where are you? Why the hell did you get the standard invitation cards? Get your ass in here right now and lead us through this damn queue!"
Melinda was on fire. Her friends understood that the best thing at the moment is to keep silence. The girl's eyes burned with a hellish flame.
"No, this is not the end. The ball is in my court now. Initially, I did not plan to go that far, but now they will understand what the true meaning of humiliation is."
. . .
The music inside was overwhelmingly loud. On the dance floor people looking like the waves of the raging sea were dancing under the sounds of the music which filled the hall. Elena looked around at the whole crowd and sighed. Yes, it is now clear why she never went to clubs before. This atmosphere was not her cup of tea at all.
The club administrator accompanied Rick and the girls to the second floor where the VIP tables were and where one could see the entire dance floor from.
In the oval VIP-box, David was sitting on the sofa at the round table and drinking wine. A girl in a bright red dress with a deep neckline was sitting next to him, whispering something in his ear. David smiled and looked up.
His gaze met the eyes of the girl in front of them. At first, a slight confusion slid across her face, which immediately gave way to cold indifference.
"Yo, buddy, as I see you are already actively relaxing!" Rick turned to his friend and gave him a sly wink.
"Ladies, have a seat. A waiter is about to come, and we will also order something."

Since Elena was the closest to the table, she had to go forward. In the end, when everyone sat down at their seats, she was in the center of the sofa sitting between two men. Corey and the lady in red were on the other side of the young people.
"Rick, you made me wait for you so long that if it were not for Victoria, I would have fallen asleep from boredom a long time ago," David answered him and raised the hand of the girl in red to his lips, leaving a light kiss on it.
"Yeah, as soon as I left you alone for half an hour another nymph has fallen into the nets of your charm," Rick laughed.
The girl laughed back. "And you apparently are Mr. Stein? I heard from my colleagues that you are way too attractive. They did not lie. By the way, my name is Victoria. But you can just call me Vicky. I started working in Lime yesterday, so I'm happy to help you make your evening as pleasant as possible."
"Thank you, Vicky. As you can see, two young ladies are with us today, so the evening definitely promises to be wonderful. The name of this beauty in a dark blue dress is Elena, and this сutie pie in soft blue is Corey. Well, aren't they pretty?"
Rick turned to Corey and winked at her playfully. The girl's cheeks blushed and she smiled in response.
"Indeed they are cuties! Jack!" Victoria called the waiter. "Jack, please bring two glasses of our special cocktail for these ladies, a bottle of champagne and five, wait, four glasses. David is still drinking his wine."
"I'll have orange juice", Elena said suddenly.
"What? Why juice?"
"I do not drink alcohol."

"OK, no problem. Jack, bring a glass of juice instead of one cocktail."
The waiter brought drinks. Victoria poured champagne to herself, Corey and Rick. David poured a glass of wine. Elena took her juice.
The girl decided to sit down a little more comfortably, and at that moment, when she moved closer to the table, she felt that she had hooked someone's leg. David glanced at Elena and grinned. She immediately retreated back, but realized that she could not do it. The man blocked her leg with his leg. Elena made another attempt, but it was not successful either. Her leg was pressed tightly by David. The man turned away to the other side and began talking to Vicky cheerfully.

Quest of the Seal Bearers - Book 1: The Warriors Return

Fantasma, leader of the global government, and his colleagues are determined to find cause of these attacks. but the search for answers points them to an ancient relic, The Book of War, a cursed artifact that can create indestructible creatures loyal to its master. It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
