Chapter 242: To return his memories or not? 3
“C, Chairman-nim!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo was ruthlessly sent flying.
The one to punch him in the chin was none other than Solomon’s devil.
It was a devil that Ilya had summoned.
The devil that seemed to resemble a lion roared wildly as it sent Kwon Hyuk Soo flying.
It was extremely strong.
The ruthless punch sent Kwon Hyuk Soo flying quite far away.
“C, Chairman-nim!”
It might have been even stronger of a hit than being hit by a car. The impact was so strong that a human’s limbs might have ripped away.
The guards ran toward Kwon Hyuk Soo with stiff expressions.
“Chairman-nim! Are you okay, sir?!”
“Chairman-nim!”
They just couldn’t believe it.
‘I’m certain Solomon’s devil jumped out.’
But something was weird. Solomon’s artifact should be Ilya’s artifact.
‘So why?!’
Had Ilya betrayed them?
As they turned toward Ilya…
“Stop acting like you’re hurt and get the hell up.”
“!”
Ju-Heon jeered at the Chairman who was lying on the ground as if he was hurt.
“I know you won’t die that easily.”
The guards started to grind their teeth.
Of course, Ju-Heon was right.
Kwon Hyuk Soo had a great defense-type artifact similar to how he had found Achilles’s Armor for Chairman Kwon.
But even if he has a defense-type artifact……
“It still doesn’t mean that he doesn’t feel any pain, you son of a bitch!”
“Wait, that’s not the issue right now! Ilya betrayed us!”
As they glared toward Ilya…
“Ow, ow, ow, stop, stop it.”
Kwon Hyuk Soo groaned as he stood up.
“Chairman-nim!”
His head was bleeding as if he had been involved in a major car accident.
It had been a while since he had felt this much pain.
“Chairman-nim! Are you okay, sir?!”
“We will call an ambulance right away!”
“Groan, no, no. It’s not that bad.”
Kwon Hyuk Soo stabbed what looked like a syringe into his arm.
It looked like a lancet or a pen, and sticking the needle into his skin made Kwon Hyuk Soo’s expression much better.
It was an anesthesia artifact.
Of course, using it did not mean that he had no pain at all.
It was only a C-Grade artifact.
He wanted to drop everything and lay on his bed but he couldn’t do that right now.
“Calm down everyone. There is no way Ilya would betray me.”
“But why else would the devil?!”
It was at that moment.
“Come out, Glashalabolas.”
They heard Ju-Heon nonchalantly say that.
This time, a black dog with griffin’s wings aimed for Kwon Hyuk Soo.
The devil that was called this time was a devil that oversaw murder and slaughter!
It’s sharp fangs aimed at Kwon Hyuk Soo’s neck.
“Chairman-nim!”
“That bastard!”
Tang tang!
They shot their gun-shaped artifacts toward the devil but it seemed as if regular attacks would not work because it was a devil artifact.
Kwon Hyuk Soo stepped in at that moment.
“Put those away, they won’t work on a devil artifact.”
“But……!”
“But I get it now. I understand why Solomon’s devils are coming out.”
“Excuse me?”
Kwon Hyuk Soo looked toward Ju-Heon instead of responding. His subordinates were shocked after following his gaze and looking at Ju-Heon.
“That is?!”
Ju-Heon was waving a ring around. It was a ring with a star-like pentagram on it.
That was Solomon’s ring.
Ju-Heon snickered as he waved it around.

“Are you looking for this?”
Kwon Hyuk Soo’s guards who finally realized the situation started to foam at the mouth.
“Ilya! You let him take that from you?!”
Ilya was clenching his eyes shut while dangling on the rope.
He was apologizing.
Kwon Hyuk Soo started to scoff.
“Yes, there’s no way our Ilya would betray me. He seems to have been completely looted by this thieving bastard because of his trauma.”
He clicked his tongue as if he was pitying Ilya.
But Kwon Hyuk Soo didn’t care much about this situation.
Why?
He just had to take it back.
“Don’t worry. I will quickly return your artifact to you.”
Kwon Hyuk Soo then wrote something into a notebook.
The people in the area felt a significant amount of pressure.
[A stealing artifact is taking away your artifact.]
Something shocking happened.
Solomon’s ring that had been in Ju-Heon’s hand had disappeared.
“!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo had done it.
Ju-Heon seemed shocked. Kwon Hyuk Soo, who had stolen the artifact, waved his notebook around as he smiled.
“As expected, Seo Ju-Heon, the rumors exaggerated about your abilities. You’re nothing. I was able to take it away so easily.”
It was at that moment.
Crack!
“?!”
The artifact broke into pieces.
An S-Grade artifact crumbled as if it was nothing! The guards and Kwon Hyuk Soo all gasped while looking at it.
“What the hell?!”
“Did an S-Grade artifact just break?!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo quickly inspected the broken pieces of the ring.
He then started to swear after looking at a certain piece.
Why?
‘Made in Yoo Jaeha.’
It was the product of that damn Monarch of Pushoverness.
He heard an extremely apologetic voice behind him.
“Ah, I’m really sorry! That’s a B-Grade fake so I can’t guarantee the quality!”
His smile made it debatable whether he was really sorry though…
Either way, the guards started to glare at Ju-Heon once they realized the situation.
“What the, hold on. If the one that bastard was holding was a fake………”
“Where is the real one……”
“No! That bastard must have the real one! That’s how he was able to summon the devils!”
Ju-Heon started to laugh as their gazes were all focused on him.
“You retards. I never used an artifact like that at all!”
“W, what?!”
“Then what about the devils you summoned earlier?!”
What else would it be?
Poooooow!
The black dog of slaughter popped out of the shadows once more, as if to respond to their question.
The dog of slaughter bared its sharp fangs after appearing suddenly without making any noise.
Chomp!
“Chairman-nim!”
It then ruthlessly chomped down on Kwon Hyuk Soo’s arm.
Blood splattered everywhere. Kwon Hyuk Soo felt an intense pain.
In fact, Kwon Hyuk Soo’s arm was completely ripped off.
“Chairman-nim!”
“Ugh!”
His left arm was sent flying down to the first floor and landed in the mouths of the crocodiles. The crocodiles happily gobbled it up.
However, it didn’t end there.
The dog of slaughter rummaged through Kwon Hyuk Soo’s pockets and grabbed some artifacts before returning to its master.
In fact, it returned to Ilya! Kwon Hyuk Soo, who finally realized the truth, glared at Ilya.
“Ilya! You! What are you doing?!”
Ilya calmly started to smile.
‘He wants to know what is going on?’
“I’m very sorry. Chairman-nim. You are not my superior anymore.”
He had just jumped ship.
“I’m very sorry. Chairman-nim. You are not my superior anymore.”

Kwon Hyuk Soo and his subordinates questioned their hearing after what they just heard.
‘What did that bastard just say?’
“Ilya!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo staggered before a rare frown appeared on his face.
His gentle expression had instantly turned hostile.
No, it might be best to describe it as the face of someone who had been smacked from the back.
“Ilya! What the hell did you just say?!”
His voice was extremely angry.
His subordinates were saying, ‘Sir, you need to heal your arm first!’
‘The hospital, no, we need to go to Pandora!’
But he couldn’t even hear them because he was fuming with anger.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!”
Ilya answered as if it was nothing.
“It’s all just an act, sir. Actually, I wasn’t captured by Seo Ju-Heon.”
“!”
But even Ilya had not expected his captain to actually throw him off the roof.
He thought he would die holding onto the rope with his weak arms to the point that he could not even call out more of his devils.
“Anyways, thank you for the artifacts, Chairman-nim.”
“What?”
“You probably don’t have a healing artifact on you, so please hurry over to Pandora. Otherwise, you’ll have to live without an arm forever.”
“Ilya!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo was shaking as he glared at Ilya.
That was right.
Ilya had not had his Solomon’s devils taken from him nor had he been captured by Ju-Heon.
He had just put on a show.
He had pretended as if he had been caught.
Why?
‘I’d have to be crazy to keep being a slave like that.’
What happened before Kwon Hyuk Soo arrived would explain the situation.
It was about thirty minutes ago.
Ju-Heon, who had slammed Ilya into some cement, had been thinking hard about what to do.
“Should I use this or not?”
He needed to decide whether it would be better to use the Raven’s artifact or not.
It wasn’t just because it was Ilya.
He had debated whether to use the Raven’s artifact on everyone except Seol-A and Chloe.
Why?
That bastard Julian would provoke(?) him all the time. That bastard Yoo Jaeha was a headache.
As for Dan, it would have been fine to restore his memories, but he chose not to because of the memories Dan would remember about his daughter.
Finally, Ilya was because of his terrible personality.
However, he didn’t have to think long.
He had used the Raven’s artifact. His original plan was to use the Monarch of Fate’s camera to slowly see Ilya’s reaction before using it, but he just ended up using it.
He chose to do so because Kwon Hyuk Soo had arrived.
In a way, Ju-Heon saw this as a great chance to test Ilya.
He wanted to see if Ilya would stick to Kwon Hyuk Soo even after getting his memories back.
That was why he didn’t even discuss it with Ilya.
‘I would have had to get rid of him if it looked as if he would go back to that bastard.’
As for Solomon’s artifact, he had Jaeha make it in advance to scam Kwon Hyuk Soo.
Ilya had actually chosen to attack Kwon Hyuk Soo on his own accord.
Maybe that was the reason.
“Ho, that little punk.”
Ju-Heon’s team members had all been shocked.
They had never expected Ilya to attack Kwon Hyuk Soo.
“Ah, I thought that that bastard would only follow the Captain-nim with a slave contract.”
“I know, right?”
Ilya had always been a lone wolf who didn’t like hanging out with the others.
He followed the captain’s orders, but always gave off this feeling of staying away from them because he thought they were inferior to him. He was a completely arrogant jerk.
They thought that he would sell information to Kwon Hyuk Soo once he got his memories back.
Kwon Hyuk Soo looked ready to explode right now.
“Ilya! Are you out of your mind? Are you really going to betray your master who has trained and raised you?”
Ilya avoided his gaze.
Kwon Hyuk Soo then glared at Ju-Heon instead.
“What did you do to my disciple?!”
“Nothing at all?”
“Ho, whatever. I’ll get rid of both of you here.”
He had a smile on his face but he definitely looked angry.
Kwon Hyuk Soo then channeled his Dominance.
‘They’re just kids.’
Ilya and Seo Ju-Heon were only at the Expert-Grade or Monarch-Grade level. They were nothing compared to him.
He had made the wrong decision to use Ilya to tame Ju-Heon in the first place.
‘I will make all of them submit to me.’
The pressure to forcibly make people submit started to spread out.
Boom!
The Dominance was so strong that the weak-willed would instantly kneel!
It felt as if an invisible power was forcibly pushing down on your head!
“Aaah!”
Kwon Hyuk Soo’s subordinates started to shake before kneeling and kowtowing. Some were even pissing their pants.
They weren’t the only ones.
“W, what is this?!”
Everybody within a radius of 1 km plopped down to the ground while some people even fainted or started seizing.
Dominance was different for Expert-Grade and below, but the Dominance used by Monarchs and higher were not just for using artifacts.
It was a special power on its own.
The Dominance was a deadly weapon.
It made the artifacts nearby go crazy as well.
[#$$&!]
Run away! Run away!
[#$&$#!]
We’re done for if we are caught by that human!
Even artifacts causing havoc nearby stopped in fear and started to run.
He truly deserved to be at the Four Emperors level.
Ju-Heon’s team members nearby started to gasp as well.
“Wow, shit, that damn old bastard! Tell him to stop peacocking! Fuck, this is why I hate the Dominance types! Ah, I feel like I’m gonna hurl! Bleh!”
“I’m also a Dominance type, but really……”
Of course, they weren’t completely out of it like other people.
But they still couldn’t do anything about this terrible feeling that felt as if they had licked a rag.
‘Ugh, I don’t feel good.’
It was at that moment.
“!”
It surprisingly started to disappear.
The Dominance coming out of Kwon Hyuk Soo that was making them want to barf was disappearing!
To be more specific, a different Dominance had viciously bared its fangs.
Boom!
Kwon Hyuk Soo was shocked.
That was to be expected.
‘I’ve never felt a Dominance like this until now.’
He had seen numerous artifact users until now. He had never come across even Monarchs with a Dominance like this.
That was why he couldn’t help but become flustered.
‘Something is weird. The Pandora prediction system never mentioned anybody with this much power……! Who the hell is it? Who is it?’
He seemed anxious as he looked toward Ju-Heon.
It was at that moment.
“Why do you look so shocked?”
Kwon Hyuk Soo’s eyes opened wide.
‘Is it this bastard?’
Ju-Heon was looking at Kwon Hyuk Soo as if he was toying with him.
He usually didn’t flaunt his Dominance on purpose.
“My goodness, you old bastard. Did you really want to flaunt your power like that at your age?”
“!”
Ju-Heon’s strong Dominance started to roar like a typhoon as soon as he said that.

Magic-Farming
A thought experiment gone out of control, inspired by kosnik4's popular story, Magic-Smithing. What would life be like for someone else who was transported to the world inside Magic-Smithing? Someone who wasn't as prone to encounter incresasingly dangerous people, whose life was a little less chaotic? What if this person was content with a simple life of farming? Tending to the plants, sowing seeds, and reaping a great harvest at the end of the year. Of course, he's also a data scientist, so he can't help but squeeze out the maximum possible efficiency of his time and the potential of his attributes. Who doesn't make excel spreadsheets in their spare time? This is a slightly more "Slice of Life" esque version of kosnik4's story. Hopefully lighthearted, funny, and as enjoyable to read as it is thinking of increasingly ridiculous skill progressions. Thanks to kosnik4 and Magic-Smithing for providing fertile grounds for creativity to thrive. NOTE: THIS IS A FAN FICTION, AND ALL INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS BELONG TO KOSNIK4. I'm a patron of his story, and love reading about what happens next in his story. I've tried my best to be as accurate to his canon science as possible, though it's not 100% feasible. Afterall, the story isn't even done yet! My plan for the releases is to release a single chapter a day until 3/7, and then release 4 chapters a week on M, W, F, & Sat. P.S. If anyone can figure out what the EXACT formula for Level XP is, I'd love to hear it. I'm starting to doubt my math and excel capabilities. I have an equation that is fairly accurate and stays close to his values, but not exactly the same.
