Wu Yu, Guanyin Pusa, and Patriarch Bodhi entered the golden Sumeru Passage after the Jade Emperor's forces.

Within the passage, they found a huge troop of black immortal buddhas awaiting them.

All of them had their immortal buddha trueforms fused into their black buddha worlds, and were in attack mode.

They had been awaiting the immortal and ghostly immortal emperors, led by the Jade Emperor.

They were already in violent moods, killing any opponent on sight.

How could they resist when so many immortal and ghostly immortal emperors entered at the same time?

The two sides clashed in a furious and desperate struggle. The excess power flowed out from the Sumeru Passage!

On the Heavenly Domain side, the most striking were the Five Gods of War, led by Emperor Gochen of the Higher Palaces!

These Five Gods of War were extremely powerful immortal emperors, especially when they worked seamlessly together. Against the immortal buddha assault, they had taken point on the counterattack!

Wargod of the Sky, Earth, People, North, and South. They each had a near-limitless reserve of apotheosis immortal energy, which they drew on as they charged the black buddha worlds, firing their apotheosis immortal techniques and Mystiques!

Facing them were three black buddha worlds which were especially intimidating.

Nanwu Suo-liu-na Buddha, Nanwu Zhitan-GongDe Buddha, and Nanwu Na-luo-yan Buddha. The three immortal buddhas were able to synergize just as well as Nanwu Essence Evolution Military Buddha and Nanwu Essence Evolution Joyful Buddha.

Although there was a feral madness in their eyes, their teamwork was flawless.

Their immortal buddha energy charged their huge buddha worlds, and a flurry of black buddha-light palm attacks came streaking towards them!

They were roughly as strong as the Five Gods of War, and both sides met in a terrific clash.

The Five Gods of War were not physically as big as the buddha worlds, but soon used their apotheosis Mystiques to grow in size, also brandishing all sorts of epochal immortal treasures.

The force of a million stars exploding - it shook the entire Sumeru Passage!

The three immortal buddhas together were more or less unstoppable in Heavenly Buddha's Domain. They were even more terrifying than the duo of Nanwu Essence Evolution Military Buddha and Nanwu Essence Evolution Joyful Buddha.

Still, the Five Gods of War unleashed a storm of attacks in response, and the three black buddha worlds crumbled readily enough. They had already devoured all of their mortals, but were still unable to stand against the Five Gods of War.

In the next instant, their three buddha worlds crumbled, and the three buddhas died!

Still, the Five Gods of War were not in good shape either. They fell back, badly hurt.

They were dismayed that the three immortal buddhas had been so strong. While they had not looked particularly impressive, they were still able to put the Five Gods of War out of commission.

There was another immortal buddha which was a dark red. His right hand made an earth-touching mudra, while his left was positioned in a meditation mudra. The ground began to shake!

[TN: Mudra are ritual gestures.]

This was the Nanwu "Lotus Light Rays Clearly Knowing by Play" Buddha, one of the 35 Confession Buddhas.Through reciting scripture and being enlightened on morals, one could be absolved of seven tiers of sins.

This immortal buddha was originally bright red, and after the Immortal Buddha World Core broke, he became dark red.

Now he no longer used his incantations to banish sin, but instead to kill.

Many bodhi symbols fired out from his hand, causing explosions all around them!

The ones to take on Nanwu Lotus Light Buddha were Father of Thunder and Mother of Lightning.

Still, the couple were completely outmatched. As the dark red bodhi symbols flew out, both Father of Thunder and Mother of Lightning's apotheosis realms were completely shattered!

Father of Thunder and Mother of Lightning were sent flying, streaks of blood leaking from their wounds.

As badly as they were hurt, it went unnoticed in the deadly fight.

As they were repelled and defeated, the burden fell to Green Emperor of the Eastern Expanse.

Green Emperor of the Eastern Expanse was also known as the Taiyi Sage of Benevolence. He had nine green lion immortal beasts that spit green flames. On his jeweled throne, he was surrounded by nine mystical lights, and was an impressive sight when attacking!

His apotheosis immortal techniques and Mystiques all revolved around his special green flames. Together with his pride of green lions, he could burn anything!

Even so, he was evenly matched with Nanwu Lotus Light Buddha, and there was no quick conclusion to their fight.

Green Emperor of the Eastern Expanse was shocked.

Who were these invaders? A casual opponent could already fight him to a standstill? Incredible!

Still, he was not to know that Nanwu Lotus Light Buddha was truly a special force, and not just any random immortal buddha.

He too was considered one of the most elite immortal buddhas in Heavenly Buddha's Domain.

Hurrying forth to assist him was the Old Man of the South Pole, another elite immortal emperor who could fire mystical red light.

Together, the green flames and red light produced a tremendous power that singed the air itself. It surrounded Nanwu Lotus Light Buddha and began to melt him down!

Under their combined strength, the dark red immortal buddha was unable to hold out for long. The buddha world began to dissolve under their combined power!

Wu Yu stared numbly at the brutal scene.

These immortal buddhas and immortal emperors were all one-in-a-million beings who had risen above the rest!

They had lost their memories and rationality since becoming the Unworldly Abomination's puppets, but if not for Xuanzang, they would not have met and attacked each other.

And this was just a small slice of the entire battle.....
