Chapter 312: 312
Chapter 312: Unrivaled, Killing Two Gods in a Row
“How dare you!”
Ares’s face was grave, and he had that murderous look in his eyes. Unsheathing his long sword, he faded into a stream of light as he lunged toward the young man.
“There he goes!”
“The god of war, Ares has made his move!”
The emotion of the netizens in the live stream room reached a fever pitch. The Greek god, Zeus was the most respected and powerful king of the gods.
There were eleven major gods under Zeus. Ares, the god of war, was Zeus’ son, who had been born with unparalleled combat strength and unrivaled bravery.
Hence, he was canonized as the god of war.
When the Greek deities were born, the vanguard general was the god of war Ares. He single-handedly defeated more than a hundred stellar beings on Earth. That showed his overwhelming combat strength. He had even slaughtered Lantian Base City unassisted.
Ares, the god of war, was definitely an unprecedented demon, and a symbol of invincibility in the eyes of the people on Earth.
Now he finally struck.
Ares appeared in front of the young man in an instant. The void was torn apart as he struck the long sword in his hand down at the young man’s head.
“You are overreaching yourself.”
The young man sneered, but did nothing except for casually flicking the long sword with his right index finger.
“Holy moly!”
“Isn’t that too crazy?”
“I can’t believe that he parried Ares’s attack with his finger. Crazy! This guy is crazy!”
“Are all Kryptonians so crazy?”
“He is dead! This guy is dead! The sword will cut him in half.”
The billions of people who were watching the live stream were on the edge of their seats at seeing what the young man did. Did the young know who Ares actually was? It was unbelievable that he was using his finger to parry Ares’s attack.

Was this young man being overconfident of himself, or was he simply underestimating Ares?
“Outrageous!”
Ares felt he was humiliated. His strength surged as he vowed to smash the damn bugger to vent his hatred.
His face changed when the giant sword struck the young man’s index finger. He felt a terrifying force travel from the opponent’s index finger. The next moment he knew it, the giant sword shattered.
“Impossible!” Ares roared frantically, as he could not believe his eyes.
“Impossible?” The young man sneered and appeared in front of Ares like a ghost to poke his finger on Ares’s forehead.
Bang!
Everyone watched in disbelief as white and red stuff of the brain splattered all over the place as Ares’s head exploded.
Ares died on the spot before he could even scream.
There was a dead silence in the pantheon all of a sudden.
Those netizens who watched the entire thing through live streaming were all stunned and horrified. One of the twelve gods of the Greek deities, the son of the king of the gods Zeus, and the god of war of the Greek gods, was poked to death by a finger?
“My God! How powerful is this young man? Could he be at the level of Zeus, Odin, the solar deities, and Brahmā?”
“Unbelievable! I can’t believe that he killed Ares with just a finger! Are the Kryptonians so powerful?”
“No wonder he dared to break into the pantheon alone. He is apparently not because of his arrogance but strength. That’s terrifying!”
Many people were speechless.
All the gods looked at the young man with a grave face. Ares was a top major god, only a step away from becoming the king of the gods. But he was poked to death by the Kryptonian, who definitely was the king of the gods.
So what if he was the king of the gods?
Those who trespassed the pantheon must die.

“Foreign devil, you have got skill. But you should never come here alone today as you are destined to die right here today.”
Zeus stood up, his eyes eerie. His body clapped with lightning, dreadful violence filling his eyes.
“Let me handle this, Father.”
A young man in a sacred blue robe stood up. Zeus saw him and nodded. “Go, Apollo. Revenge your brother Ares.”
Apollo was one of the twelve major Greek gods, the god of light, the eldest son of Zeus, much older than Ares. He attained godship much earlier with unfathomable strength.
“Yes, Father.” Apollo rose into the sky and slowly floated to the center of the pantheon, looking at the young man with a bitter expression. “Foreign devil, you shouldn’t have killed Ares!”
“Tell me your name. I won’t kill a person without knowing his name.” The young man shot a lazy glance at him.
“Die!”
Apollo roared, and his body glowed in holy light. Golden rays of light rose from his body, making him seem like a sun bursting with extremely bright light.
The next moment, a light sword of holy light appeared in Apollo’s hands. He wielded the light sword and struck it down from above.
Compared with Ares’s giant sword, the light sword seemed to be incorporeal. The faces of the gods changed as the light sword formed.
“The god of light has achieved a breakthrough?”
“This divine power is definitely in the realm of the king of the gods.”
“God! Even the god of light has transcended. Don’t the Greek deities have five kings of gods now?”
Zeus looked proud when he heard the other gods spoke in wonderment. His eldest son Apollo was introverted and low-key, not as brave as Ares, but he was talented.
After all these years of self-cultivation, he finally made progress and attained the realm of the king of the gods.
Apollo could definitely kill this damn Kryptonian.
The light sword tore through the void, like a white rainbow to come above the young man’s head.
“This foreign devil is dead!” the gods exclaimed quietly.
No one knew better than them how powerful the king of gods was.
What is the king of gods?
It was the being above gods, the king of the gods. In the words of the foreign devil, it was a super-clustered being.
The king of the gods might be only one level above the major gods, but this gap was as different as night and day. Ten thousand major gods were no match for a king of gods.
“The king of gods?”
The corners of the young man’s mouth curled up slightly upon hearing the remarks of others. He took a step forward and vanished. The next second, he had come in front of Apollo.
He then slowly raised and slapped gently with his right hand.
Apollo’s heart skipped a beat. He did not know how the young man dodged his attack and came in front of him. But could such a slow attack hit him?
That was wishful thinking.
Apollo snorted and prepared to dodge. But to his surprise, he froze in place while the young man’s palm was falling upon him.
The palm of the young man’s hand came down softly, as if a mother stroking his son’s head. But to everyone’s horror, Apollo’s head exploded like a watermelon hit by a sledgehammer.
Everyone fell into silence.
The gods, the journalists, the billions of people watching the live streaming stared with their jaws dropping to the ground. They all could not believe their eyes.
The god of light.
The son of Zeus.
Apollo, who had stepped into the realm of the king of gods, was slapped to death?
And it happened so nonchalantly?
Oh, god! How could this be possible?

The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him.
